Sorry to hear your news rjhammond xx

Apparently the M&S skinny sausages are nice for those of you who can't find porky lights, also 0.5 syn each. I'm not a big fan of sausages so I haven't joined in the Porky Lights mayhem:p

You've lost nearly a stone and a half in 4 weeks Haylaluru.. what more does your consultant want off you? Blood?? :mad:Jeez, I keep hearing about all these consultants and I wonder how on earth SW keeps them employed.. I know its a franchise but surely their reputation matters as much as the cash!!

Welcome to the board shiningfaery

So it's chart time :T some brilliant losses this week!

    SOTW* is.... :T:j:TMARY HINGE:T:j:T with a loss of 5.5lbs!!

    Congratulations!

Its as well you don't have my consultant or she would tell you you musnt be food optimising because if you were you would have more than that off. Your the perfect example of how small consistent losses can get you to target. Wish I could bring you on Saturday as an example lol :rotfl:

Hi Lantanna, i'm another one who loses in half a pounds here and there with weeks of STS in between. Its hard not to get really peeved by it all when you've really stuck to plan

My consultant is fond of saying that 'losses of 2-3 pounds per week are perfectly doable even if you are only on plan 5 days a week. This does incense me as we are all different but of course there's always the ones who have good losses then regale you with tales of how they don't know how they did it as their week has been awash with wine, meals out and takeaways

I think a potential loss of 2 to 3 lbs a week if you are only sticking to plan 5 days a week totally unlikely unless you have a LOT & I mean a lot to loose. Why do consultants come out with this crap?

Hi Maman, have you bought any recently? It was you who got me onto the BGTY Burgers when I was in lurkdom. I rarely eat sausages but have been trying to get both the burgers and sausages in Sains for about a month now and they never seem to be in stock and staff unsure when they are coming in?

I bought sausages about 10 days ago, having the second half of the pack for dinner tomorrow. I haven't had burgers for a while as I made my own from YS pork. I put them on my list just today. I'll let you know if I find any on my next shop.:)

Well done on the losses. :T I know I don't join in the challenges because I'm at target but Shala you're a star! :A

    Evening

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done Mary for SOTW :T

Welcome to the thread shining faery and well done for your success so far.

I'm not sure if SW consultants benefit from people losing large amounts apart from as a draw for new members; in fact they make more money out of the people who attend for months/years and only lose small amounts.

Is anyone watching Sugar Free Farm? This week one of the participants made sausages and when he realised what goes into them it made him rethink how many he eats normally. Porky lights may be low in fat but they'll still have all kinds of rubbish in them - the definition of meat covers anything recovered from the carcass including parts you'd expect to be thrown away. _pale_

Day 8 alcohol free. I was planning to restrict alcohol to weekends, but I've decided to try only drinking socially - we're out at friends on Wednesday night and we've got friends coming to us on Thursday, then we're out again on Saturday. I'll keep Syns to an absolute minimum on other days.

    Have a good week everyone.

  • Sorry I've completely lost the plot and haven't been reporting my progress (or lack of). Am I too late to update or shall I just do a total next Sunday when I weigh in?
Last wk I STS and this week I gained 2lb after a food and drink filled weekend! Need to try hard now to get back on track...
  • Hi all!

Thanks Shala for chart and well done Mary for SOTW.

So the weekend went well and stuck to 25 syns fri- sun which gives me a comfortable 7 per day until wi.

Should be fine - except I can confirm Oreo thins are so good but it's very hard to stop at 1 or 2, have been sharing them out so I don't munch the lot. Don't think I will buy them again - too dangerous!

I only ever have small losses too, can be frustrating but they all add up eventually.

    Today's plan:
    B- overnight oats with raspberries
L- hm leek and potato soup
    D - lamb casserole

    Have a great day xx

Yes I've been watching it. Not planning on eating any mass produced sausages any time soon!
Since starting SW I've avoided sausages, as I prefer syn free food, but I have a sausage maker in the loft that I inherited from my granny, which I plan to get out and have a go at making my own SW friendly ones.

We all have times like that, and it can be so hard to get back on plan, but you can do it. 2lb gain doesn't sound too bad for a really good weekend.

I thought they might be aiming for the holy grail of having a super loser in their class that will hit the media and have a spread in the magazine and national press.'i lost 10 stone in a year and couldnt have done it without my consultant Ali...'

any tips on how to make quark more edible? My partner made low syn oreo cheesecake with oreo base, quark, choc shot and sweetner and the overwhelming taste was the sharp quark. Not nice 😕

    Todays plan for me:
    Breakfast - overnight oats
Lunch - salad and SW quiche
Dinner - HM meatballs and pasta in speedy sauce
Snacks - apple orange, banana, yogurt

    HA - milk
    HB - oats

At the hospital this afternoon for tests to hopefully find the cause of my anaemia. Really scared, but weirdly instead of doing my normal comfort eating, I am really off my food. Most of the lovely stuff I've been making ends up in the bin, and only really eating enough to be able to take medication.
Weigh in tonight and no idea how it will go. Not eaten much, but not burnt much off either. Sleeping so much and no energy :(
