- 3/4 lb for me this week
Not happy at all. I was so good apart from the Christmas cake. Going to try really hard to stick to plan completely this week!
Back on the slimming world wagon 04.01.18
Total lost 1st 3.5lbs :j Week 40 -
Still very cold here but dry so have hung out a machine load of washing on the line. Rain is forecast later so will need to keep an eye on the weather.
Went overboard on the wine last night but still less than half the weeks syns used so far so not worrying about it!
Today's plan:
B - bacon & mushroom omlette
L - chicken & veg soup
D - toad in the hole (using the last of the low fat chipolatas!); roast potatoes, roasted onions & carrots, brussels, peas & onion gravy. Think it works out to 11 syns for the "toad".
HEA - milk
HEB - not sure but maybe some toast or crackers this evening if needed but otherwise won't bother.

Just googled 2 chubby chefs and it is a great site, loads of recipes:j
Thanks for letting me know. I am running low on meat for the freezer so I think I will buy a box
The chubby cubs also have muscle food deals so look out for their codes. I love their blogs too although if you're easily offended with references to gay sex and bodily functions, best to just read the recipes :rotfl:Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Sounds like you were unlucky for the Christmas cake to catch up with you so quickly whiplashy. Keep on plan and you'll get there and keep posting menus if it helps.:)
Full English is probably the best option in hotels MrsR although sometimes there's fruit and even HEB cereal available as well. I always pass on the sausages and obviously things like hash browns but egg, beans, mushrooms, bacon and tomato are fine except for the oil. Sometimes you just have to guess on bread too as I think it's often just brown rather than wholemeal. Great to hear you're really focused. It must be brilliant having a proper kitchen at last. I think you've done so well to lose your weight with limited facilities.
What with being busy and looking after myself I've still not done a food shop. I called into the local Co-op last night just for milk to see us through and got some YS bargains so pleased with that. I bought 3 packs of salmon fillets, 1 kg of 5% mince and 4 chicken breasts and 2 large sweet potatoes! It's not the cheapest but it'll see us through a few meals over the next few weeks. Meal plan is now done and I'll shop later.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: probably lentil and veg souproast chicken, roast parsnips and potatoes, cabbage, carrots and whatever other veg I buy
Syns: gravy and weekend wine:D0 -
Hi all
Well I've made it to day 7 without any alcohol, but I've had a niggling headache for the last 2 days and I'm wondering if they're connected. I'm not planning to have any wine Syns until Wednesday when we're eating at friends'.
Shame Jamaica wasn't all you'd hoped for Denise - am I right in thinking it's not advisable to go out and about on your own there? When we went to Barbados we used public transport and went all over the island and always felt safe.
Whiplashy - don't be too downhearted about your loss, the human body tends to fluctuate quite a lot so it could be that your fluid levels were higher than usual when you weighed in. Keep sticking to plan, and you should do better next time.
Wizkid - you chose well with your custard tart, they're not very sweet so it wouldn't be as bad for the diabetes as a jam doughnut. You did make me want one though, I love them.
Well done to everyone reporting losses this week. I'm hoping to be doing the same tomorrow.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Afternoon everyone.
Haven't been on track this weekend at all as it was my birthday yesterday and we went for an indian meal, plus a few drinkies and a bottle of wine later.
Today went to the hungry horse and had the chicken new yorker.
Need to get back on track tomorrow.
Still got 6lbs to lose to get to target.
Have a good week all. xStriving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -
Wow Abbafan,
I have to comment on your signature weight loss so far. That's amazing, well done you! I've just started and I am inspired.
Happy belated birthday for yesterday too.
Wel, my first weigh in is tomorrow and I've been pretty good. Using the total syn bank seems to help, rather than a daily amount. I'm just about to have a big veggie roast dinner with the only syns being for gravy and the obligatory cranberry sauce. Yum.
Keep trying hard everyone xWeight loss 2017/2018 - 49 lbs0 -
Joedenise - thanks, I know what you mean and am conscious of it as an issue to be managed. My problem has transformed from live on toast pre fibro, to not eating rather than eating too much and then I go into pile the weight on mode. I sometimes have nuts just to maintain the calories. I did have a persimmon in the evening but still not enough.
Better today:
Brunch: mushrooms, scrambled egg, tomatoes and a bacon medallion. 1 slice white danish toasted left to go cold and then buttered - my weekly treat at 6.5 syns.
Early dinner - lots of roast beef, roast onions, roasted grated carrots (2 syns - butter), 1 roast potato (using my hexb olive oil) and yucky broccoli.
Skimmed milk for tea hexa. Lots left :-/ I might have the balance as a small piece of cheese later.
Coors light x 2 (10 syns)
I'm making a list for the snacks things Syn contents of what we have in stock so I am not guessing.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Definitely better on the Speed front today, well done. However olive oil is no longer a HEB so you will need to syn it at 6 syns per tablespoon - sorry:(. It was a HEB when I started but only on a Green day but was withdrawn as HEB in, I think, 2012.
LL - There are places in Jamaica where it isn't advisable to go out and about but where we were there wasn't really anywhere to go other than a little shopping centre across a very busy road! We went there a couple of times for things we needed but other than that only the organised tours.
