    Morning all

Well done on the loss Mary H

Had a bit of a sticky day yesterday but managed to keep it together. I had a meeting in the morning so didn't have a break but had my hifi bar and water at my desk - no problem. But then I had misread a time in the diary for another meeting and had thought I could have lunch at 1pm (as normal) and meeting at 2pm but nope I suddenly realsied at 12:55 that the meeting was at 1pm. I managed to have about 10 mouthfuls of my lunch before the meeting to keep the hunger pangs away. When I came home at 3pm I was ravenous and grabbed a small piece of banana bread (which I had made for the kids) but I managed to keep the rest of the day syn free which was great for me as normally I would have demolished the banana bread and then probably had crisps and chocolate to keep me going until tea time.

Anyhoo today should be quieter no meetings so I should feed :rotfl:

Breakfast: toast (HeB), peanut butter (1 syn), DG coffee x 2 (4 syns)
Lunch: pasta, tuna, sweetcorn, peppers, cucumber, tomatoes (1 syns)
Dinner: Campfire stew, Baked potato and veg
    Snacks: Hifi bar (3 syns)

    Total syns: 9 syns

Amazing loss Mary!!! I'm a big Horseradish fan Maman, love the stuff! Pleased with myself that I haven't succumbed to any takeaways whilst mum has been in hospital, the hospital is at the top of the Lisburn road in Belfast and its fancy takeaways etc the whole way down it. Mum is getting out in the morning on the condition she is signed over to my car for 24 hrs lol - dear help her! So I wont be at group this week. Prob for the best really as this period is brutal and doing awful things to me lol. So Shala can you please just put me down for a missed week. Will be back the following Saturday and working towards getting a loss! Will be feeding Mum and it will be lots of fresh fruits, fresh veg and lean meats - just what you need when you are recovering from an operation I think. I might throw on the odd bit of naughty stuff for his Lordship if he behaves himself:rotfl: but the mother and I will be having healthy fresh foods.

    Hi everyone and Happy Friday.
I had wine syns last night and a few chocolate syns but I've counted them (well deducted them) and I know how many I have left (63 to be precise)
For some things, I have been over estimating so hopefully it will work out if I go over slightly....

I was wondering if I can have cheese as a Healthy B option? Previously on the Green plan you could? which meant you could have lots of cheese if you were having a green day :) Obviously its all about extra easy now and I guess the answer is "no" but I thought I would ask!

Hope everyone has a great day :)

Thanks for the "Welcome Homes" from everyone. I'm glad to be getting back on plan as so much fried food whilst away plus of course all the free alcohol available 24/7!!! I certainly wasn't drinking all day and tried to avoid it until at least lunchtime! No alcohol for at least a few days - I think I've had enough over the last couple of weeks.

Jumped on the scales when I got home yesterday morning and looks as though I've put on about half a stone - gonna take a while to get that off with my usual small losses each week!

Ended yesterday on 3.5 syns and looking at a few more today.

    Today's plan:

B - porridge (HEB) made with water; mixed frozen fruit
L - HM veg soup; slice bread 3 syns
D - low fat butchers sausages 1 syn; mash potatoes 1 syn for butter, brussels, green beans; onion gravy

HEA will be milk as usual
    HEB - porridge
    Syns - bread 3; sausages 1; butter 1

Have some dark choc in the fridge if I fancy something sweet later - plenty of syns to spare.

Hello everyone, please may I join you? I'm a lapsed SWer, v successful with pure red days in 2009. I'm starting to have a little middle aged spread and want to address it before it gets worse. I have a 2014 book, but couldn't cope with the dictatorial group leader so didn't go back.

All grains cause me health problems (fibro) and I limit my dairy for the same reason. I don't eat a lot of processed things if I can help it.

I joined in without posting last week and am pleased with my first week loss of 3lbs.

B - bacon medallion, scrambled egg, lots of mushrooms, tomatoes, rape seed oil spray (2)
L - feta (hex a) and beetroot salad
D - chicken with mixed peas and beans and carrots

Snacks - pistachio nuts (hex b), and whatever speed fruit we have - apples I think
Drinks - mostly black coffee or water. If I have tea I have a teaspoon of skim in it as I don't like milk, so I tend to sync that if I have it rather than hex as I never use it all.

Which leaves me with 13 syns to play with. I was a bit shocked to see that one bourbon cream equals a small milky bar! Explains a lot of my gains in recent months.

Mrs Ryan - the green grocers by church gate in L'bro used to be good for fresh and cheap, but I haven't been in since they moved.

Some great losses on here, but you did make me laugh MaryH with the mouldy basket for SOTW. Last time I got it it was full of mug shots and processed stuff that I don't eat. The only fruit was mine!

  • Forgot to post yesterday I had a 1lb loss. Was a bit disappointed as I had been on plan all week but then I went on won Slimmer of the Month losing 9 1/2 lbs in January so actually I am quite pleased with myself.
Thanks to MSE savings we got to go to Disneyworld Florida.

    Hi all

Well I've made it to Friday without a drop of alcohol, now all I have to do is make it through the weekend and I'll have done the whole week. Friday night is a particular challenge for me as I feel like there's something wrong if I haven't got a glass of wine to drink with Graham Norton.

Today was the third meal out in 3 days so it will be strange having to cook tomorrow! Today's lunch was menu del dia at a Spanish restaurant and it wasn't particularly SW friendly but very nice... Salad to start, asparagus with Roquefort  then a seafood 'stew' in a creamy sauce. I wasn't planning to have another meal as such, just a snack, but we're both quite hungry so I'm thinking of doing jacket potatoes and having some leftover curry with it, which has plenty of speed in it (onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers).

Welcome back Denise, did you enjoy Jamaica?

Well done for that great loss Mary H .:T.

Welcome Hex2, it's not as easy to find information about red and green days now as SW don't support those anymore but lots still do it so you should be able to manage. I used to have much better results on the good old red and green days.

Well done for all the great losses, have a good weekend everyone.
