Its like the Great British Sausage Hunt Shala! :rotfl: Thankfully my parents brought me back 5 packs of Heck from Scotland so I have those supplies for a while. Time of the month has arrived so hopefully it will take with it the horrible gain it brought with it.
Had an awful night last night, there was an accident and a major road was closed in Belfast so it took me over three hours after work to get to the hospital to see my mum. It had taken me just 20 mins the night before - so you can imagine! Was exhausted when I got home this morning and then slept in wakening up when I was meant to be sitting at my desk in work!0 -
Oh lantanna.
Not surprised that you slept in.

Hi everyone - I'm back from my holiday and looking forward to some SW food!!!
I've only read the last few pages as far too much to catch up on.
Sorry to hear you're not feeling too good Maman - there's a lot of nasty bugs around at the moment. Hope you're feeling a bit better today.
As I was on the plane when I had breakfast (it was midnightish Jamaican time!) I'm counting that as yesterday, LOL!
Back on plan from lunchtime today as didn't have anything else this morning when we got back. Did a basic shop on the way home from the airport.
Just had lunch of ham salad but no tomatoes as I forgot to buy any.
Dinner tonight will be a butcher's low fat burger (0.5 syns), onions, salad in a WM pitta bread (HEB + 1).
HEA will be milk as usual.

Another work from home day today. Not feeling great so working from home is easier on me than the commute, and I don't have to be off sick.
Breakfast - bacon, egg, tomatoes, mushrooms
Lunch - steak, tomatoes, mushrooms
Dinner - Not sure, at Mum's but know it will be SW friendly
Snacks - Yogurt, Alpen bars
HA - milk
HB - Alpen bars

Having read about the slashed tyres theory, I won't let this derail me too much and instead of daily syns I have calculated how many I have remaining for the week and can still stay within my syns until my WI on Monday.
I really want to lose something in my first week!
Onwards!
Btw, do people usually take the full 15 syns per day or does it vary, I can't remember from my days at group. For this first week I will be right up at full quota!!
What is the slashed tyre theory?
I think we are meant to have a minimum of 5 syns a day with a max of 10 (leaving the remaining 5 syns as a buffer in case we miscount)
This week, I've printed out 70 smiley faces and 35 unsmiley faces and I'm marking off as I go along. If I have more syns one day than the allocated then my remaining syns will adjust accordingly. Hopefully this will mean I'll stick within my syns even if it means tomorrow I have 25 !Hi everyone!
Just looking for some help. I have been on SW since early December and I have lost 1 stone 3 lbs.
However over that past couple of weeks my weight loss has slowed to 1lb per week. I'm eating plenty of speed food and I've been working hard at the gym.
Has anyone else experience4d this before and how did you kick start things?
Thanks
That's a great loss you have achieved and you should be rightly proud. It does even out and slow down. a pound is still great and isn't a gain. and it adds up to a lot over time. Vary your menu, try different B options, try new things, enjoy the odd treat etc.0 -
Welcome back Denise! Good to have you back, looking forward to hearing about your travels when you have settled back in!
Just BEG to find now lol0 -
Hey,
I think I read about the slashed tyre thing somewhere on this thread.
Basically it's a way of stopping the self sabotage... if you had one flat tyre for example you wouldn't suddenly go all out thinking your car is ruined and slash the other three. Same thing with a packet of biscuits, just because I went off track and ate a few in the middle of the night whilst letting the dogs out doesn't mean I have given up and am now eating everything in sight.
It has helped me be sensible today and not see a moment of weakness as a complete disaster.
I might need to search harder for my old group book to see how many syns I used to have. I'm currently using the max amount of 15. Next week I will have this sussed!Weight loss 2017/2018 - 49 lbs0 -
Moneysavingme - You are right about the syns being 5-15 a day. But several of us on here work to the 105 syns a week. It works for some people but not everyone.
I think you've done the right thing by cutting back today to make up for having extra during the night.
