Less than impressed today, my scales are telling me I've shot up 5 lbs in 2 days and haven't ate anything worthwhile that sort of a gain. I do have horrific pmt today but still that's ridiculous! and quite depressing : ( : ( : (
There must be less bulk buyers in Northern Ireland as getting Porky Lights, Fibre One and the Sainsburys Carb alternatives is no problem at all.
Just need to get Heck to supply us with the chicken sausages : (0 -

Try not to get too down about it. On certain days of the month my weight can vary by half a stone. As long as I don't give in to the chocolate and crisp cravings, it goes back to normal in a few days.Zebras rock0 -
Hi Shala,
Could you please add me to the challenge for 6 lbs please.
Thanks so much!Weight loss 2017/2018 - 49 lbs0 -
Morning
Just put a pot of lentil and vegetable soup on to simmer for lunch to try and keep things light as I'm going out to a Burns Night supper tonight. It's at an Irish/Indian restaurant (don't ask!) with interesting menu choices with a Scottish/Indian theme :rotfl: Starters are haggis, neeps and tatties, haggis onion Bhajis, beef broth, smoked salmon and prawns or chicken tikka pieces. Mains are crispy roast duck, tandoori poussin sizzler, roast porky, roast lamb , chicken madras or masala, and salmon fillet. I think I'll have the haggis starter as its Burns night (and it will be a small portion) and I'm not sure whether to have the tandoori poussin or one of the roasts. The tandoori comes with rice or chips and curry sauce so no speed, the roasts have fresh vegetables but from past experience it will be a small portion.
I'm driving, so no wine Syns for me - that'll be 3 days alcohol free and I'm slightly embarrassed to be celebrating that, but it's the first time in several weeks since I've gone that long.. I'm aiming to go for a whole week and then keep Monday to Thursday alcohol free, which actually means I won't have another drink until a week on Friday.
I agree with you about salads too Maman and I think that's been part of the problem for me as we usually have salads for lunch nearly every day but it just hasn't been warm enough, hence the soup today - it's sunny but too cold to sit out. We're going out for a walk later but I'll be taking a warm jacket with me.
You've had big surprise gains before Lantanna, could it be related to your previous health problems? I wasn't very keen on the Heck chicken sausages, I thought they had an odd aftertaste. My favourite sausages are the BGTY ones from Sainsburys. I miss them here.
Have a good day everyone.

I suspect so Lois,
Getting lots of fluids into me today to see if that helps. Weigh in is on Saturday so hopefully it will come down by then. Just annoying when you haven't don't anything to justify a gain like that.
See I'm not a big fan of BGTY Sausages, I tend to put them into a dish rather than eat them on their own.
Good work on the alcohol front! Its so easy to get into a habit of drinking. I try to stay strictly no alcohol during the week but it can be a struggle some times to always say no! Although its been going 100 % since the New Year.
Has anyone heard from BLUE EYED GIRL? She hasn't been about for so long, hope she is ok.0 -
Hello all - I thought I posted yesterday but clearly not! It's awful weather here - very stormy!!
(Well done to SOTW and so sorry that you've had life altering news Arkers...hope things pick up for you)
My lunch today is leftovers from last night which was chicken in black bean sauce with loads of peppers, onions and mushrooms with a side (1/3) of stir fry veggies and some rice and it was delicious...no rice for today's lunch - kinda regretting it now as I made it uber spicy and I woke up at 2.00 am with the raging doo-lallies (TMI sorry!!)
I'll see if i can face it...might just go and get a jacket spud and beans from a local deli.
My DD and her fiance (first time writing that lol) are en route from Oz now...so flipping excited to see them tomorrow!!
I did a ridiculous 21K steps yesterday and did legs at the gym...I'm in bits today lol!!
Lantanna - have you tried the Porky Lights..I'm a bit dubious about LF sausages as the SW ones are rotten - oh and BTW I did try the SW gravy and it's minging! - I mean awful!! Straight in the bin!!0 -

Porky lights are delicious! Only ever managed to get 4 packs, in two lots of two, as our Asda doesn't stock them regularly, but well worth the money and 0.5 syns.0 -
No I have a packet of the Porky Lights in the fridge to try soon, so I will let you know my verdict!0
