Oops me again
There are some days when I don't have a HEA but do have a shop bought latte which is 8.5 syns. I know that HEX's tend to be 6 syns. Do you think when I get a latte I could consider it as my HEA plus 2.5 syns?
Do you think that would be ok?

Evening all
Thanks for the chart Shala and well done Haylaluru for SOTW. :THad some possible life altering news last week which I'm still in the process of digesting. I've managed to continue with the healthy eating and I have lost a further 2lbs, and I'm not at the bottom range of my target.
For those of you at target, is it just me or does anyone else find the balancing act tricky. I don't really want to lose anymore, but I'm a bit scared to allow myself free reign. I've always had a problem with the stop button. Hey ho not a bad place to be!
Sorry to hear of the life altering news, sending positive vibes your way. Re being at target, it is a difficult balancing act, and I'm speaking as someone who failed to maintain. It's all about keeping to plan for the rest of your life while allowing yourself a little extra flexibility, maybe as Syns or, as SW recommend, with healthy extras. And continuing to weigh regularly and taking measures if you go outside the +/- 3lb range. Stay with us, you can do it.
For those of you concerned about the lack of Spanish vegetables in the uk supermarkets, the weather has improved and the bad weather is now behind us, so the farmers should soon catch up with supplies. The fields near to me have been planted with melons which will hit the shelves in the summer.
It's refreshing to read back on the thread and not have loads of references to Porky lights, my Facebook feed is still full of them and they've even made it to the Daily Mail as a result of a SW consultant buying 100s of them for her members, the next thing will be SW shops with a chilled section! :rotfl:
I'm quite looking forward to my 1st visit to the supermarket when I return to the uk - I'll have squaffles, bns lasagne, porky lights and fibre one on my shopping list.

Good evening! God I hate Tuesdays, they are so busy and stressful and just all over the place. I didn't post yesterday evening but finished on 10 Syns and today was:
B - nope
D - Salad*: Chicken pieces, 2 boiled eggs, grated beetroot, cucumber, sweetcorn, balsamic vinegar
T - Meatball minestrone stew from the latest mag, from freezer and without the meatballs as they weren't very nice.
HEA - Milk
HEB - 2 Alpen Lights
Syns - sugar in coffee (6), extra milk in coffee (2)**, 4 Mikado sticks (2), Fibre One eaten in a fit of stress (4), Options hot choc (2) = 16
*Maman you're absolutely right about the salads, I was practically shivering eating that earlier.
**Holy cow I've had six cups of coffee today, no wonder I feel anxious.
Thanks so much Shala for the chart, makes really interesting reading, can't believe we've lost almost 9 stone between us already! And of course huge well done to Haylaluru!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi all
Erk I'm all over the place at the moment! I'm eating some fab stuff at the minute though. I've been doing SW off and on now for four years and this is the first time I've ever felt like I'm enjoying it. New kitchen goes in on three weeks (although I'm not able to use cooker myself due to my disabilities, I can prepare the ingredients for recipes though and OH can cook them) but between my Actifry, microwave and George Forman grill I'm eating amazingly well. I've only had two ready meals in three weeks!!
Yesterday's menu:
B: 4 x Heck Smoky Paprika sausages (1 syn) Toast (4.5 syns) Tinned tomatoes, fried eggs with Frylight, 2 Quorn Sausage Patties (1 syn) Decaf coffee with HEXA s/s
L: Chicken salad and melon
T: SW Smoky barbecue chicken ready meal with the last of the salad, meringue nest (2.5 syns) blackberries, Light and Free yoghurt
Snack: Cup of decaf tea with HEXA S/S, 2 x Salted Caramel HiFi Light Bars (HEXB)
Supper: Bowl of fresh potato wedges from Asda (2 syns for oil) SW chip shop curry sauce, 2 easy peelers, couple of slices of wafer thin SF chicken (1.5)
Syns: 12.5
I just posted on my Group Facebook page which other healthy eating plan would allow you to have chips and curry sauce?*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
3.5 lb off for me please Shala
All that walking at the weekend obviously helped.
Today I'm working from home, so my plan is:
Breakfast - Bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes
Lunch - Steak, mushrooms, spinach and asparagus
Dinner - Pulled pork cooked with squash, brocolli and carrots, and rice
Snacks - yogurt, orange, alpen bars
HA - milk
HB - Alpen bars
I know there is a lot of red meat and very little carbs, but I am very anaemic at the moment.Zebras rock0 -
Aww why can't blueberries and banana be speed lol.
Did succumb to a 3 syn biscuit last night so ended the day on 6 syns. Today will be:
B- weetabix (a +b) with fresh blueberries and bananas ( I was convinced blueberries were speed)
L - Lo hm chilli with salad
D - pizza frittata with wedges and salad (will need to syn the mozzarella)
Am going to try a new plan this weekend of 25 syns fri- sun, then 7 syns mon - Thursday. Will let you know how I get on......0 -

Don't beat yourself up too much. It's understandable to slip up if there is nothing at hand that is tasty and allowed. I'm trying hard with this too and am determined to batch cook, even just small things for when I get tempted.
I love the stuffed peppers and see you are having these too. I make an oven tray full and they keep for days. I use cous cous and then have Thai sweet chilli sauce on top. Soooo good. I'm just about to make a big pot of lentil soup. Totally free I believe and really lovely.
Keep going and don't be too hard on yourself!
Thank you. I love the idea of stuffed peppers with couscous - will definitely make some of those next time.Grocery challenge 2017 January £158.74/£200
