Just post when you can ATT
Where did you find the kalettes in Aldi? Are they frozen or fresh? I've never had them.
Is your goulash a SW recipe? And tell us what you thought about the tuna pasta.
Beetroot was on Super6 today so I bought 4 packs. I love it.
Let us know about the Slimzone MrsR. I tried the chicken jalfrezi last week and enjoyed it. Pleased that it had plenty of Speed but (as you'd expect) I added more.
Thanks Mamam. The kalettes were in the same location as the salady bits e.g where the cucumbers, spinach etc bits are. They are fresh and according to the packet you can steam, boil or microwave them as well as put them in stir frys
I can't say I adore sproutsbut I don't mind them but I really like kale. I'd definitely buy them again and nice to try something different too as it's all to easy to fall into the routine of buying/cooking the same things. I love doing kale 'crisps' in the oven too so was pondering trying a similar approach with the kalettes
The tuna pasta was, errm, yak should cover it! Hard to pin down, just a really yakky taste lurking in the background. From looking at the ingredients it can only be the herbs or yoghurt type dressing that was behind the unpleasant taste
The goulash is from a very old Delia recipe. One my mother always made and then I just carried on with it. In the main i'm often disappointed with SW recipes so have learned it can often be better to tweak things you already make and enjoy so that they are SW friendly so that's what I do with the Delia recipe re not adding the flour etc. I then add lots of extra veg in with whatever I have in at the time. Happy to share the recipe if anyone wants it
Thanks for the updates on the Slimzone meals all, very interesting
Regards

Lost 2.5 this morning at group. Pleased, may the losses continue! We can do this SHala we can! Be back to comment on Monday, gym done now off to enjoy my hard earned 2 days off! Have a good weekend all : )
That's fantastic lantanna :T
I'm thrilled for you, you're on a good run. If you make a plan for when you're feeding your parents then you won't be hungry and turn to the Chinese..Don't let the stress derail you, you're on a roll!
Thanks for the info ATT. I agree about adapting recipes. I use Delia's recipe for braised red cabbage and the Hairy Bikers braised steak is legendary on here!
I've not heard a good word about the new Iceland chilled meals and not many about the frozen ones. I think Asda may have stolen a march.
I've got a huge pot of soup cooling ready to portion up for the freezer and veg prepped for tomorrow.
Hope the Jacks didn't ruin your day topgirl .;)0 -
Hi all
Yeh it's Friday!!!!
I have signed up to an app to increase my water consumption and I am weeing for Britain. It is one aspect that I am bad at as I freqently can go most of the day without fluid if I am really busy. So here is hoping this helps and builds in some good sustainable habits.
Can I be cheeky and ask what app it is please as I know this is a big failing of mine.
Lost a lb this week which was good considering I havent been swimming for ages....just lost my enthusasium and much prefer my warm bed lol.
Hoping for a 2 lb loss this week so I need to go lol!0 -
Hi all
Well done all the losers this week and big hugs to those not seeing the results of their efforts.
Have to say this third week has been a bit of a battle for me as I could quiet easily have eaten the contents of the kitchen several times over. I really thought i was going to sruggle to STS however I'm pleased to say that I did mangage to stay more or less on plan and it was soooo worth it at weigh in today as its another 5lb off : :j2019 Weight Loss Goals

More great losses, well done haylarulu and gettingtheresometime :T
ATT , just wanted to say I checked out the Delia goulash recipe and I'll be giving it a go as I have red peppers to use up. If you like cottage cheese, it's a great substitute for sour cream. I have it with chilli and it's yum.0 -

Hi
yes it is the Hydro Coach app. You can link it it with fitbit etc as well so I find it quite handy to have my water and exercise syncing.
You set your own targets and if you get the pro version (costs a couple of quid) it also looks at how much more you should drink to compensate in hot weather etc - not exactly a problem here in scotland but may be useful on holiday lol.
Hope that helps.0 -
Congrats on the losses folks - keeping Shala busy on the chart is good
Had an odd day today as I normally go shopping early Saturday moring but DS2 was going to the cinema this afternoon so decided I would do it whilst he went and saw the film with his friend. It has kind of thrown me out of kilter though food wise as I had a yoghurt about an hour after getting up, then had an earlyish brunch and a snack about 4pm when I came home. So I am not sure what I want for tea now and I had planned Sweet and sour but feel it's too late for that. So confused :rotfl:
menu has been
Breakfast : ML yoghut and DG coffee (2 syns)
Brunch: SW hash browns, mushroom, tomatoes and bacon, DG Coffee (2 syns)

Well done, TIE (and sending a BIG hug), shala, gts, Haylaluruwoohoo, Zeni and lantanna.
It’s very cold and foggy here today; very depressing. Not helped by yet another defeat for the not-so-mighty Bairns. At least I haven’t resorted to comfort eating – yet.
Saturday
Breakfast: hexb toast with 1 Laughing Cow light triangle (part hexa)
Lunch: baked potato, prawn mayo (1), lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, syboes, red pepper& beetroot, Light & Free strawberry yogurt
Snack: Butterkist toffee popcorn (5 ½ ) – best thing about the match
Dinner: coconut chicken (7 – would have been 4 if I’d had reduced fat coconut milk but still worth it), rice, mango
Snack: hexa cheese & grapes
