I will be interested to know how the curry is as I absolutely love Thai curry and would love to be able to still have it regularly
    )

Turned out OK, found a recipe on YouTube for green thai curry and adapted it to red.

Basically all you do is substitute the coconut milk for Fat free coconut yogurt ( I used a muller light Greek coconut one) only syns are from the paste?

    My recipe-

Stir fry chicken in two tbsp red thai paste
Added shredded cabbage, leeks, mushrooms and sugar snap peas and extra chilli flakes
Few minutes to go add the yoghurt and stir through. Worked out at 3 syns per (biggish) portion. :rotfl:

Chao baby its not but enjoyed it and less syns then using light coconut milk

  • I'm not doing terribly well and so far have wasted a month's online membership, although I'm so disappointed with the SW website I won't be renewing that anyway.

I've decided my problem is resentment. I resent that I can't eat what I want (even without eating 'rubbish'); that I have to watch what I eat and/or do more exercise in order to lose weight, not least because my first stint at SW resulted in a nearly 4st loss without setting foot anywhere near anything remotely exercise-related. Of course, I was also the best part of 15 years younger!!

I resent the fact that getting the dog has made zero difference to me, even though it's more exercise than I was doing before OR I resent that in order to do more with the dog, I'd have to get up even earlier than I do now. I don't resent the dog as she's lovely and we wouldn't be without her now.

But yeh, I need to get over my resentment.

Sorry to bring the thread down but had to put it somewhere. I've got a freezer and fridge with loads of chocolate in them, which I haven't touched since last week, plus hubby opened a box of shortbread biscuits on Monday and I haven't touched them either so I can avoid the 'synned' stuff - my problem is at work, even though I have my SW-friendly stuff in my desk drawer and the staff kitchen, I'd still rather go the pub or go out and buy a salad.

Anyway, I'll try and get my backside into gear next week.

Thanks Lantanna and Maman for your advice - a 2lb loss for my first week so I'm happy with that.

Welcome to the thread esmy and ladysharpey

Might try that meatball stew for lunches next week too, really struggle with what to have for lunch..

We had the SW Vegetable biryani ready meal tonight, added chicken :D and split it with OH. It was actually really nice but way overpriced for some rice and veg!

  • Mrsshazbat - know how you feel, those moments where you are back on plan yet stomp around the house screaming WHY AM I NOT SKINNY YET?

I used to have the same issue at work (city centre so EVERY temptation possible) plus cake culture and I'm a sales manager so lots of chocolate and wine incentives and rewards!

Basically I now prep breakfast (which I eat at work) snacks and dinner so I can avoid temptation. In addition my team agreed we needed to cut the carp, everyone's getting on board with health and wellbeing and we started a fat club (all different diets and exercise regimes - I get tired listening about what some did the night before.) Can you get others on board?

Chocolate treats - can you split up and have as "treat" bags? I saw this on instangram, I have now split up a huge box of Ferrer Roche into 7, 10.5 & 14 syn bags. I will be saving these for weekends and weigh in celebrations!

  • Evening all,

Well done for the amazing losses - 4.5 and 6.5lbs I think it was Maddie May and Kathrynha:j

I gave into temptation as I had a long wait for my train - went in for a drink but came out with a snack as well; at least I stuck to mango though had all 200g  and then realised it wasn't speed.

I struggle with days when I work from home so tomorrow is going to be a challenge to try to cope better than Monday...the plan is to drink a lot less tea and more water as I would in the office (or maybe push the boat out and have NAS squash!) and prepare the meals in advance as though I were at work but hopefully not eaten out of tupperware:o

    Tomorrow's plan

B Porridge made with water and teaspoon of honey (1syn)
    S Grapes
L scrambled eggs with baked beans (need to go shopping!), kiwi
    S Pineapple or Edamame
D Salmon then I need to find some veg to go with it, possibly frozen peas and sweetcorn as I think that's all I have in the freezer

Not a lot of speed in there looking at it...
  • Thanks for the syn info Shala. A lot lower than I thought! Need to get ontop of my syns so I can drink them instead :rotfl:
