Hi all, sorry for the absence. I had a decent weekend (2 high syns meals but not a total write off and I did exercise) and Monday went pretty well but then yesterday I had a super traumatic dentist appointment which I'm still struggling with the aftermath of.
so yesterday:
baked oats with raspberry quark for brekkie - 0.5 syns for cooked rhubarb. lunch was a free cup shot. tea was 1 poached egg on a slice of toast (surplus to heb so 4.5 syns) probably another 8 syns in milky bar buttons (as they melted and took away the horrible tastes) and then at least 20 syns in 2 pancakesthen made it worse as did a naughty weigh and it showed a horrible gain
today:
breakfast: overnight oats (heb plus frozen fruit and a mullerlight and a tiny touch of zero syrup (less than a tbsp. so 0 syn)
NAS squash in soluable painkillers
lilt zero (free)
lunch: I've bought a small salad of spinach, tomato, orange snack pepper and prawns plus light mayo (I've measured it and written the syns on the top of its own little tub - I've done 2 tbsp. but will likely only use half as it seems a lot - 4 syn. I will post a pic on the facebook page)
snacks - melon chunks with raspberry quark
tea - we have rugby training though I won't be refing so I have packed a free cup shot plus an apple (and knife to cut it up!) and a passionfruit for me. and a bottle of squash.
really need to up my fluid intake drastically
have some healthy stuff in now to last until pay day so that's a winner. and I've found a local butchers that do a 'slimmers' selection (you pick 6 items from a longer list) and they've worked all the syns out (and publish all the ingredients and nutrition etc in case you want to confirm) so I am going to try them after pay day
this evening I will finally work on a rough meal plan for two weeks- it will get updated the Monday after pay day as I am going to go to the real junk food project sharehouse in leeds which is a pay as you feel 'supermarket' which is where they make available food that supermarkets and chains like Greggs would otherwise have had to send to waste (still perfectly safe and edible) and you pay via donation. they sell all sorts so I'm going to go either once a fortnight or once a month and see how it goes. will donate cash from my grocery budget************************************

Good morning all. Congrats on the losses :T Struggling to stick to plan. My syns have been over 15 everyday as I'm still trying to use up the remainder of the holiday food. Sticking to my 1200 calories a day though so should still be okay. I'm not one to waste food. I am making sure that I get at least a third speed food and sometimes more. Itching to get on the scales for a sneaky look but I had a good loss last week so I know this week mightn't be great. If it wasn't going the way I liked I'd probably binge eat on chocolate :rotfl:Back on the slimming world wagon 04.01.18

Hi everyone
Well 3 days in and I'm 1.5lbs down which I'm hugely happy with. Just need to keep it going now!
Hugely late with this and sorry if it's already been suggested (I've only skim read) but unread posts - if you subscribe to the thread then click on user CP. When the title of the thread is in bold there should be a little box with a kind of downward arrow, if you click on that it takes you to 1st unread post.
Enjoy The Tempest tonight Tete. I love those National Theatre live productions, often you get a better view than you would have done if going to the theatre! And probably comfier seats
Not much going on today for my day off. I'm cat sitting and probably a top up food shop and will also try to grab the SW mag if I can, it's been a while since I read one. It's icy cold out there today so keeping outdoor visits to a minimum
Have a good day everyone

Exactly and the sound is better! I go to them a lot. Well done on your loss
I had a maverick moment and decided instead of opening the pack of bacon that I'd grate a carrot for my scrambly omelette, with onion and mushrooms and some baked beans. It was really nice, gave it some texture. And super Speedy :AWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hi all
Synful day for me today as we are having pizza but I have enough in the 'bank' . So today is:
B- poached eggs on slice of toast (HEB) plus ketchup (2)
L - egg muffins with salad
D - Pizza (20) with huge salad
Snacking on pears, clementines, carrot sticks and bananas.
Doing quite well with my fluids as trying to get in the habit of two glasses of water with each meal am finding that I am thirstier than I thought!0 -

Grated carrot in everything
Question, can grated carrot be frozen? And once frozen is it still okay for salad and coleslaw or just for cooking?
It would make it a lot easier if I had it in the freezer ready to use?Zebras rock0 -

Hi all, newbie to the thread.
I joined my local SW last week, first weigh in tonight!
It's a very busy group with lots of newbies so I hope you might help with a few queries.
Syns - these seem to vary massively day to day - last nights I daren't attempt to count -pre booked meal out- but other days as low as 1.5. Is this OK? (the variation not the meal out!) Should I have a figure to aim for or is anything between 5 and 15 acceptable?.
Speed Foods - I'm struggling to get plenty at each meal. I've been looking at some of your menus for inspiration. Any tips ?
Alcohol - I'm not a big drinker but I presume some drinks are better Syn wise than others. I'd love any suggestions.
Hope you can help a beginner!0 -

Spirits and diet mixer but a lot of people still have their wine not mentioning any names lol! and manage it quite splendidly!
I find it hard to lose when I am having wine and tend to stick to gin and vodka.
U've just reminded me I must check the use by of the Coors Light that's left over from xmas as I wont be having it for a while !0 -
