When the title of the thread is in bold there should be a little box with a kind of downward arrow, if you click on that it takes you to 1st unread post.
I used to be able to do that until the site introduced a new version, which I opted for - and have regretted it ever since! I seem to remember getting a message along the lines of "try the new version, if you don't like it you can go back to the old one" so I thought there's nothing to lose, but never found the way back.
I think some of us have a different view to the rest because I tried following Denise's advice, but it didn't work.

esmy, most groups are packed out in January but it should settle soon.
Using syns is an individual thing. SW recommend between 5-15 each day. I'd advise you aim to use the full 105 per week, you can always cut back if weight stalls. Many of us save up syns and then use them at the weekend or for a meal out. That's not the official way as SW believe you need a treat every day but if you can 'deprive' yourself some days then it can work.
If you look at one of the first posts on this thread there is a list of all the Speed foods you can have. Again, what people do in practice can vary from the official line. SW say at least a third of every meal should be Speed. I almost never have Speed with breakfast but closer to 50% of lunch and dinner. Some people don't like many vegetables so they are more likely to snack on Speed fruits between meals or with breakfast. How to fit them in rather depends on what you like and what facilities you have. I eat mostly at home and cook lots of extra veg at dinner time to have with my lunch as a sort of bubble & squeak the next day. I buy tomatoes and spring onions but rarely salad leaves but I have lots of pickles with my lunches. So I might have a jacket potato or a veggie omelette and then a big pile of pickled cabbage or beetroot with it. HM soups with lots of veg are good and this week's favourite for me is a veggie chilli. HTH.
Kathryn, I bought some bags of grated carrot and froze them. I wouldn't say they're OK for salads but fine for tipping into sauces etc.
I have the same problems with the site lois. I have to cut and paste smileys because they won't work if I click on them. It's different on my phone though so maybe it's a PC upgrade that's done it.
I had HEB (Puffed Wheat) with HEA milk for breakfast. I've been out for a fairly synful lunch and not sure whether I'll be hungry again today. Later we're off to get stuffed by Liverpool. Klopp has kindly promised to put out his strongest team so I'm sure a drink will be called for.
Back on it 100% tomorrow.:)0 -
This is an amazing thread!!!
I really need to get on top of my diet as my food is based around my life rather than making time to eat properly.
I just never know what to do.
I was thinking of joining Slimming World and this has really motivated me!The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today0 -

Can anyone help me out with the syns in a measure of Malibu?Back on the slimming world wagon 04.01.18
Total lost 1st 3.5lbs :j Week 40 -
It feels like forever since I posted here though I think it is only a few days LOL
I had to spend the last few days helping a friend out with something urgent. Ended up eating badly (off-plan, but not too badly thankfully) for two days because there simply wasn't time, shops or facilities to cook anything SW. I actually feel pleased to be back on plan today!
Breakfast - yoghurt (0.5 syns) and Alpen light (0.5 HEB)
Lunch - Pepper squid stir-fry, with rice noodles and masses of speed veggies
Tea - The rest of the stir-fry as I made so much! I love adding veggies and find they make the noodles etc go so much further that there always seems to be leftovers these days LOL
Snacks - Sunbites (6 syns) and Alpen light (0.5 HEB)
I haven't had my HEA yet but will be having it as cheese in a little while, cut into little cubes with some veggies as a little snack
Please could someone with up-to-date books check for me, I think the squid is free but not SP, is that correct? Thanks x
Hi to the new people and well done all those with losses and STSs0
