Yes I am finding it a real struggle. I will be so glad to have a lie in on Saturday and hopefully have a restful day. I think that by the time we switch off and relax for the xmas break, its time to come back and get back to normal. We need double the time off!

I just feel rotten, tired, bloated and lethargic! Hopefully feel a bit more lively next week when I've gotten back into my routine and had a few more gym visits.

Just snacking on some speedy plums!

I'm the same Denise , not a fan of boiled carrots

Just a quick heads-up for anyone who likes them and doesn't know - Alpen Light bars are currently on sale at £1 per box at a lot of the supermarkets (Tesc0, Sainsbugs, A$da) at the moment. Usually they are £1.50 - £2 depending on store. They are two for a HeB (or one for SP HeB) or 3 syns. They are scrummy but expensive at full price!

I like to cut carrots with a julienne cutter, dress them with soy sauce, rice vinegar and a tiny bit of synned sesame oil and sesame seeds. It makes a really nice far-eastern-style salad.
  • Well you chatty bunch - I've finally caught up lol!!

I made a chicken burrito bowl last night (and enough for left overs today) and I have to say it was lush!!
My version was like this in case anyone wants to try...

*Fry* up: 1 large red onion, 2 peppers, 10 large mushrooms sliced thin, 3 chicken breasts, I added a couple oxo veg stock cubes (just crumbled in)chopped up fresh coriander and the juice of two limes and some chilli powder to taste.
I served this up over a big bowl of crunchy ice berg lettuce and topped with warmed up black beans, cheese from my allowance and 0% fat creme fraiche - super tasty.

    Food for today:
B: ML yog with a small punnet tropical fruit
L: more of the burrito bowl as above
D: going to make a SW chicken korma with 1/3 plate green beans and 1/3 plate rice

Syns will be wine at the weekend...I split my HEa with cheese over the BB above and 1/2 milk in my tea today...still no HEb but I'm not stressing too much as I'm getting plenty of fibre.

Will walk Murray dog later. I start back weights on Monday now but I'll still be doing that walk every day...Murray's not going to walk herself!!

Good news! I went to WI today and lost a pound so that takes me back to target range!:j OK so I'm right at the top and I'd like to be at the bottom but at least it's back in my own hands now.

I'm eating out 3 times in the next week so I'm pleased I'm not forced to go to group next Thursday.

wiz, how do you make your leek and potato soup? I enjoyed the bacon one so much I'd like to try another:).

That looks like an excellent menu change of focus. I've always saved syns for weekends but denise is right it's really important to have them.

I stayed at group this morning to hear the new starter talk. I didn't learn a great deal but it was good to give some moral support as it's a new group. Apparently the new ready meals are in Iceland this week. I might try the potato salad from the chilled section and get some reduced Frylight while I'm there.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA milk
L: lentil and veg soup, small veggie omelette (tomato, spring onion mushroom) and pickles
D: Austrian ham hash with cauli and broccoli
Syns: none planned unless I put some chorizo in the hash

Well done Maman on getting back into target, I'm now 1lb under the top end which I'm pleased about for my holiday starting next week! As it's an all inclusive I'm expecting a hefty gain but I'll have a full week to get rid of some of it when I get back as I don't get back until the early hours of Thursday morning so won't be going to group then but will leave it until the following week.

Have had a few syns today as had a Curly Wurly this afternoon, think they're 6 syns IIRC - will check.

Have also had a couple of Ryvita with Laughing Cow Extra Light and cucumber slices.

We too had the new member talk today but definitely nothing new there though. But as you say it gives a bit of support to the group.

Evening all, welome to the newbies and well done to the losers!

Maman, I am definitely getting on board with frozen veggies - I bought a big bag of mixed peppers for £1.29 earlier - fresh ones are 50p EACH!

I went to Iceland to stock up on SW meals and got some free Mullerlights for buying three meals - does anyone know if the Cake Inspired Mullerlights are Syn-free please?

I've been so so busy today, but it's been great as I haven't been tempted at all to pick.
B - Carrot and cinnamon baked oats
D - Roast veg (aubergine, courgette, red onion, cherry toms, mushrooms and garlic) with couscous
T - Beef stir fry with extra courgette, mushrooms and onion, with egg noodles. The beef was so tough it was hurting my teeth so I hardly ate any of it :(
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Oats
Syns - Sugar in coffee (4), Hoisin sauce on stir fry (3), Options hot choc (2) = 9 in total.

Weigh in tomorrow and even though it's only been three days back on the wagon I'm feeling so much better in myself - hope the scale reflect this in the morning!

Edit - I've changed my mind and I'm going to have two hot chocs tonight rather than a coffee and a hot choc, so that's four Syns rather than 3 bringing my total to ten. Really craving something sweet so hoping this will satisfy me.

Good evening all :) Nice to see the losses coming in. I weigh on Sunday's so hopefully I'll be joining in with the losses in a few days. This week isn't going great so far though. I'm using My Fitness Pal to track my calorie intake as the steroids I'm on make me more likely to overeat. I've stuck to EE and been within my syns (barely) so far but Monday has been the only day I stayed within my calorie goal :( I do tend to have a massive loss my first week back on plan so hoping I will still loose something this week.
