  • Welcome:) You should get back to target very soon. Well done on deciding to sort it now rather than let it go any further. I'd say you're a bit low on Speed too. You'd need a lot of clementines to make up a third of your food intake for the day;). Are you saving syns for the weekend?

Thanks for the welcome! Yes bit low on the speed as waiting for my food delivery. Have had our spag Bol for lunch as my little one eats better at lunchtime, didn't have much salad left so went for half a plate of carrots, runner beans and sweet corn instead. I do need to have another look in my books as I think all my favourite fruits are just free now, I suppose my saving grace is that I just love veg!

I do try to save my Syns for a weekend tipple and because my hubby often leads me astray lol!

    Hi all

    This is today's menu

B overnight oats with ff natural yog and mixed frozen berries.

L a tomato cod concoction. Cod fillet cooked in the oven with a tin of toms cannellini beans peas and sweetcorn and served with some cauli and greenbeans.

D hm beef curry with rice which will be 3 syns as I used a tbs veg oil to temper the spices. (Have trief dry frying the spices before and it doesn't taste right) The serving of curry will already include 1/2 an onion 1/2 a pepper and 2 toms and as I've had loads of speed with lunch I think it'll be ok.

Any snacks will be fruit and maybe an alpen light as a treat later
HeB oats HeA milk for teas

Lots of good losses coming in! Well done Tete that's an amazing loss, especially for the first week of January!

Some new ideas in the menus as well. My meals between now and going away won't be completely SW friendly as not much fruit & salad left, although do still have frozen veg.

    Today's plan:

B - boiled eggs, ham, toast, Laughing Cow Extra Light triangle 1 syn
L - jkt potato, beans, grated cheese 2 syns
    D - steak, chips,onions, peas

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - Laughing Cow 1; cheese 2; weekend wine:D

    TMI!:eek::D
I eat very little fruit mainly because I'm too lazy to prepare it and I don't have a particularly sweet tooth. So I get almost all my Speed from veg.

I did manage my meal plan and food shop today. Went to Asda instead of Sainsbury's and stocked up on the straight to wok Amoy Udon noodles (on offer at £1) which we like. I've also bought a couple of packs of chicken jalfrezi in their new range to try. I'm surprised they can say they're ideal for Extra Easy with Slimming World if SW have nothing to do with them.
  • As predicted working from home proved to be a challenge - not helped by being freezing cold for most of the day. Menu was:

B Porridge made with water and a splash of milk from HEA to cool it down. Teaspoon of honey (1 syn if I'm correct)

L Chicken breast, sweetcorn, tomatoes and cucumber (really need to get some lettuce at the weekend)

D Cottage pie (made with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes) topped with the last of the swede and carrot mash

S FF Yoghurt, Cheese oatcakes (anywhere between 12 - 24 syns! why do they put 6 in a packet???) again using up the contents of my cupboard, ski mousse (these came out after my book was printed but I think it's 4 syns?)

Not a great day tbh but as it was the first day working from home it could have been worse...no chocolate or biscuits and now have pj's on so can't be tempted to go to the shop!

Just came to post today's menu and realise I never posted yesterday's LOL

    Yesterday was:

Breakfast - overnight oats (HEB oats, muller light, sliced banana on top 0.5 syns)
Lunch - Cheese and broccoli Pasta and Sauce made up with water, served with broccoli and green beans
Dinner - jacket potato with cheese (HEA) and side salad
    Snacks: crudites
Syns: 0.5 syns for the breakfast yoghurt, packet of Sun Bites (6 syns) glass of wine (8 syns as 175ml and 12.5% alcohol)

The wine and jacket potato were at Wetherspoons, where I met friends. I have to admit, I was expecting to skip the food and eat later as I didn't want to go off-plan so soon after starting, but they were really helpful when I asked for no butter and no more than one ounce of cheese on the potato. Worth knowing if you ever go there!

    Today I had:

Breakfast: Muller light and an Alpen Light(0.5 HEB) (not the best breakfast, but at least I am having something! 0.5 syns)
Lunch: Huge salad with fresh seafood
Dinner: Pasta with Philly light (HEA) with smoked salmon and lots of leeks, mushrooms, green beans, and black pepper. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but it was lovely!
Snack: the other Alpen Light to make up the HEB
Syns: None yet apart from the yoghurt earlier, but it's Friday night so it's nice to know they are there if I need them :rotfl: That said, I have some onion bagels in my freezer to use up and they are 11 syns each  so if I don't use the syns tonight I might treat myself to a bagel for breakfast tomorrow!

Maman, I can't eat most fruit as I don't produce the enzymes needed to break down fruit acids. I occasionally risk it with a banana (and almost always regret it!) but most fruit and tomatoes are completely out. Like you I get most of my speed from veggies (which, luckily. I love!). It never affected my weight loss last time though.

Huge congrats to those with losses and STS :T Happy weekend everybody! :j

Got a couple of the SW chilled things from Iceland.

Will see what they are like.
