    Thinking of you gts.:)

I like cottage cheese with an apple diced into it as a SP snack lush. Somehow eating it with a spoon makes it more satisfying and enjoyable than just munching on an apple. Last night I crumbled in a tiny amount (2 syns max) of post Christmas stilton and it was lush (excuse pun :o). The strong cheese really added to the taste. I'm going to try the same but with melon.

I've had a bit of cheese today too but hoping as I've had very little milk it can be offset by my HEA.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA for milk (and cheese?)
L: lentil and veg soup, small veggie omelette with pickled cabbage
D: SW spaghetti Bolognese (with onion, carrot, courgette, peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes:D) with Parmesan
    Syns: hopefully none

I've got WI tomorrow. I don't think the Christmas gain will be gone because of NYE . It may take some time to be back where I'd like to be.

    Hi all.

Sorry to hear about your aunt GTS. You're right sixth sense is very weird when it kicks in.

I haven't checked in since I set my target so thought I'd pop by.
It's my first week on SW and so far I feel it's going really well. I haven't been spending my syns so far. A part of this is I don't want to tempt my taste buds with a single chocolaty treat as if I start I might not stop this early into it but mainly because I don't want to eat just for the sake of spending my syns and so far I haven't felt the need for extras. Even though my portions have been a lot smaller than usual and minimum of 1/3 super speedy I haven't felt hungry.

Quark is my new best friend. I'd never heard of it before but its been a great substitute cream cheese to adapt some of my usual recipes into syn free versions. Also overnight oats OMG how have I not heard of this before either?? So yummy, and it was about 4 pm before I could face any more food.

Fingers crossed for a good 2nd half of the week too.

Counting Pennies, I looked at your menu and all I can say is 'Wot no Speed?':naughty:

Haha Maman.... I don't know if you will remember me from last time. I literally don't eat any speed apart from 1 or 2 things due to food issues brought on as a child. I also have a binge eating disorder. I haven't been online for over a year tho so you may not remember.

Kim, it is hard to get your head around SW when You've been used to other 'diets'. I remember stepping off the scales after my first week and saying (incredulously) 'Well it does work then!!' I'd suggest you give EE a try and then just do SP for a boost if/when you need it.

Hi I probably should have mentioned, I am a successful EE looser previously. SP didn't exist them. But I was never able to scoff the way others did, I had to exercise moderation & I avoided simple carbs (pots, pasta, rice, etc) & got my carbs from veg & pulses.

    Well slight panic tonight.

The dinner plan was mexican chicken cooked with mushroom, pepper, onion, carrot and tomatoes with sweet potato mash. Open the fridge to discover no chicken. Hubby had moved it to the freezer. Thankfully there was mince in the fridge.
So tonight for dinner I made peri-peri mince with butternut squash mash. In the mince there was onion, carrot, mushrooms, pepper and tomatoes that made up about 2/3 of the mince mixture. I had thought the squash wouldn't be speed, but I have just checked and it is, so it's been a super healthy and lush dinner.

Also not a clue where hubby has put the potato masher, so had to adapt there too. Used the end of a rolling pin :)

  • Another good day for me today.

Breakfast: Shreddies (HEA and HEB) with sachet of sugar (1 syn)

Lunch: Turkey breast, new potatoes, egg whites, loads of beetroot and salad cream (3 syns)

Dinner: Jacket potatoes, beans a a little bit of cheese and lurpak (6 syns)

No snacking through the day at all which is a miracle for me. Done loads of ironing and housework along with a 45 minute brisk dog walk.

So 10 syns today. Will be needing something to eat before i go to bed. I haven't decided what yet but will probably be fruit. Trying my best to save some syns.

Sorry to hear about your aunt GTS.

Breakfast: Muller Light (0.5 syn) and Alpen light bar(HEB)
Lunch: Sushi-style brown rice salad (all free apart from half a teaspoon of sesame seeds. Counting them in as 0.5 syns though I think it's even less, since it did not even come to 1g of seeds)
Dinner: Stir-fried cabbage, onion, carrot and broccoli, garlic and chilli with shredded chicken breast and udon noodles. The noodles were free as they were dried, but I used 1tsp rapeseed oil for frying. Dressed with soy sauce and 1tsp sesame oil (4 syns for the oil)
Snacks: Alpen light bar (HEB), carrot, cucumber and celery crudites with philly light (HEA)

I have had a telling off for not eating a proper breakfast :o especially as my main aim is to start eating proper regular meals again. But since on a normal day I wouldn't eat anything until at least 3pm (and sometimes not then) it is still a step in the right direction. Tonight I am going to whip up some overnight oats so I make sure I eat a full and proper breakfast!

Updating to include HEs and Syns...

B - Apple, grapes, FF natural yoghurt
D - Bacon, mushroom, onion and tomato scrambly egg thing
T - Pork steak (no fat) with potato and leek hash
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Walnuts
Syns - Sugar in coffee (4), two Quality Street (5), Options hot choc (2)
Snacks and drinks - grapes and fruit tea/NAS squash.

Didn't wash the leeks well enough and they were all gritty so TBH I didn't have very much Speed for tea at all.

I've prepped some carrot and cinnamon baked oats for the next two days' breakfast, but found I'd picked up a Mullerlight with chocolate rather than the plain vanilla (the lids are so similar!) so we'll see what they taste like! Now about to roast some veg for my lunches for the next two days then might sit and paint my nails so I don't go foraging any more!

ETA - Just read back, so sorry to hear about your aunt GTS xx
