Just to add to my work place woes, the Owners oven broke before xmas so he took the one from the staff kitchen. That's the end of that then and the end of my boiled eggs in the morning. Only the microwave now.

  • Hello everyone, I'm back with my tail between my legs.....have done SW online and in group the last couple of years but I always seem to lose my motivation and can't get past it.

I've put weight back on but am nowhere near my heaviest, so I'm hoping I can sort myself out for good this time. My mind is in the right place at the moment, so I'm feeling hopeful.

If it's not too late, please can I join in with the challenge? I'd like to go for -10lbs please.

Great to see the thread so busy! :D

Glad you enjoyed Lanzarote lantanna, to go off topic for a moment, I always mix some gradual tanning stuff (like Garnier Summer Body) with my moisturiser/body lotion to keep my tan going after a holiday.:)

Thanks for the chicken recipe lois. It looks really tasty and simple.

greentiger, the Musclefoods chorizo sausages are 1.5 syns each. tete, just ask if you need any syn values. Many of us can look them up for you.

Counting Pennies, I looked at your menu and all I can say is 'Wot no Speed?':naughty:

Kim, it is hard to get your head around SW when You've been used to other 'diets'. I remember stepping off the scales after my first week and saying (incredulously) 'Well it does work then!!' I'd suggest you give EE a try and then just do SP for a boost if/when you need it.

    Back soon.:)

First gym visit of 2017 smashed this morning.... I have taken to doing the school run in my gym clothes as a way of forcing myself to go! no coming home to get changed then wrangling out an excuse as to why i need to stay on the sofa :o I may have signed up for kick boxing/boxercise classes starting next week

    Food today:

B: He B oats, ff greek yoghurt, berries and honey (2.5)
L: Jacket potato with beans, tomato, cucumber and a heap of beetroot
    D: spag bol with veggies...

He A is milk for teas, I'e had a bag of tomato snaps (5) picked up the bags that are 21g instead of 13g so more syns but enjoyed my frst bag of "crisps" in over 2 weeks.

first weigh in tomorrow.... Trying to stay away from my scales. I am convinced they are really inaccurate.... stand in different places in the bathroom and the readings vary 3-8lbs :rotfl:

so I did my fitness DVD last night - maybe I'm imagining it but a few times in and I swear I can feel it starting to work ;) enough motivation for me to keep going with it!

as littlie was awkward I ended up having 2 hard boiled eggs for my tea - didn't mind as I wasn't that hungry after finishing it so went straight in to the shower with her then she messed about for ages asleep/not asleep/pulling things out of the bookcase/rattling baby gates etc!

    Today so far;
pre work - glass of NAS squash
    breakfast: porridge (125ml semi skimmed = 1/2hea plus 40g oats = heb)
mid morning: hard boiled egg (P)
lunch: left over super speedy chile (S/P) with microwave rice. I used an aldi long grain rice microwave pouch which is 1.5syns for the whole pouch. I had 1/2 so calling it 1 syn. plus a second hard boiled egg (P)
mid afternoon will be: passionfruit (S) and Satsuma (S) with vanilla quark (P)
tea: not 100% decided yet but I think I will have the baked fish I planned for last night (P?) with tomatoes (S) mushrooms (S) and onions (S) all baked in with the fish and will add beetroot, pickled onions and pickled red cabbage (all S?) on the side. If not that then it will be turkey (also P I think?) with all the veggies

I've started adding S and P to my meal plan as I want to make myself more aware of the foods I'm eating that fall in to either camp to try and up my protein levels a bit but also in preparation to try some SP days :)

I did my measurements today as it's 1 week since I decided to do my DVD 3/4 times a week. I've done it 3 times up to now (not including the first time as that was a separate week) and my fancy pants scales do suggest a smaller weight loss but my measurements show a really strong first week result so really happy I remembered to do them! won't use that as my official weigh in though as still 2 groups on my countdown then I'll decide what I'll do :)

The Laughing Cow Light are 1.5 each

So if you have 5 of them as an Heb you're actually having 7.5 Syns? They must be rounding it up to 1.5 for individual triangles because an Heb is usually 6 Syns.

I have this dilemma as my job involves being a bit on the hop and I usually end up eating lunch sitting in the car somewhere. I tend to avoid sandwiches as the amount of bread allowed for HEB isn't enough to fill me, and I'd have the added Syns for spread too. My favourite thing to have is roast veg couscous - easy to prepare while you're making tea the night before and still tasty cold. There's always salad of course and cold pasta. Or you could invest in a good food flask and have soup. Would be interested to hear others' suggestions.

I realised this when I started watching - it didn't hold my attention last year and it didn't last night either. So faddy.

    .

I'm lucky, I have a microwave and a toaster (plus kettle) in our kitchen. I struggle because I'm not very good at making the most of my lunch breaks (so getting out and getting fresh air) plus the timing of my lunch breaks makes me feel uncomfortable eating something hot as usually I'm the last to take my break and everyone is back to work.

I watched the C4 diet program last night and thought it was ok. No surprise really that the two darts players got good results following the long term plans. I was amused that the WW lady kept saying "Bob on". I hope they feature SW

Kathryn - Grated carrot is one of my favourite things on SW - it's really filling as part of a salad and I put it in all sorts of sauces to bulk them out. It's one of the few Speed items that I genuinely enjoy!

I grate carrots into mince meals like spaghetti bolognese and chilli too, it's a good way to add speed.
