This recipe just came up on my Facebook newsfeed and I thought it might be good for people struggling with lunches at work - you can do enough for several days and keep them in the fridge.

    LL :)

ETA p.s. click the link then scroll down, the recipe is called chicken burrito bowls.

I grate carrots into mince meals like spaghetti bolognese and chilli too, it's a good way to add speed.

    LL :)

I've done that before. Also grate in mushrooms and courgettes. Good way to get the husband to eat veg too. Child eats the veg no problem :)

Eric the WW lady made me chuckle too - where is that from, Bolton or somewhere? I can imagine Paddy whats-his-face saying it.

Yes I grate courgette in too, it kind of dissolves but I assume it still counts. I put mushrooms in everything anyway, I bl00dy love them, so glad they're Speed!

Before I forget any longer - any newbies that want to join our Fb group drop me a message :) it runs in fits and starts but I find it a handy back up

    forgot some syns for today:
malteaser mini reindeer - 3 syns
    rice from earlier 1 syn
seed mix sachet thing - 4.5 syn
light mayo (will go on tea) - 2 syns (1 tbsp. will use a measuring spoon to be spot on)

it's probably clear I'm trying to eat more - so many of you are so kind and supportive and suggest I'm not eating enough so thought I'd try to top it up by grazing on SP snacks like my fruit and quark :) I definitely feel full as I type right now and I don't think I usually feel that at work reflecting on it :)

went for a walk in place of a lunch break and bought a can of pepsi max (free) as I'm behind on my fluid intake today

  • Had a big old post typed out then the computer died...here's a summary...

    Food
B: ML yog and a granny smith apple
L: same as yesterday - last portion SW quiche (totally yum) salad and 1/2 jacket spud
D: dinner was to be decided (and making some to go for lunch tomorrow as well) but I decided on a burrito bowl as was suggested earlier on by lois lane - thanks btw lol

Will go a 3 mile walk tonight again as I did last night :)

I've decided to be a bit more determined with running this year so if anyone has any ideas for meals that take less than 15 meals to prep but are filling and yummy (but synfree) for those busy nights when I'm running after work then please share..

my go to meal which is really easy to prepare is salmon and prawns 5 minutes to fry, with spinach, microwaved for 6 mins from frozen and egg noodles, bring water to boil and then simmer for 4 minutes, it is super nutritious, freeand all prepared and cooked within 15 minutes

I sometimes have a packet of Tilda rice (lime and corriander) which is 2 syns for the whole packet instead of noodles as it is done in 2 minutes in the microwave
  • Well like the proverbial bad penny I'm back after being away 3 weeks and although I had a fab time, the best bit was when I jumped on the scales and found I'd only put on 4.5 lbs.....yes I know I was mentally going to try and lose weight but in reality that was never going to happen!!

I'd like to join the challenge again if I may and my target will be 10.5 - which will take me to the 2 stone loss mark.

I won't be weighing in this week at class ....unfortunately my aunt died over the Christmas / New Year period and its her funeral Saturday but I'll 'unofficially' weigh - if only to keep me on track

    Happy New Year everyone!

It'll be my first weigh-in since Christmas Eve this Saturday so I am expecting a fairly hefty gain which will skew my chart somewhat. I'll aim for 10lbs lost by the end of Feb anyway!

Sorry to hear about your Aunt GTS.

Ah thanks ...she hadn't been well for a while and mum had had an inkling that something was up but even so she was one tough cookie right up to the end.

Weird thing is I had an inkling something was wrong and got up in the middle of the night to check my emails (mum is still in the dark ages and can't use messenger) something I can't explain....isn't sixth sense weird.
