Thanks lantanna had a wee look on amazon and I have read that one but found another I hadn't read so that's going on my list for holiday reading :j Found the tv prog of it as well and its been so long since I've read the book I've clean forgotten what happens so looking forward to watching that
I'll join in this next challenge and go for 9lbs please shala - reckon a 1lb a week is surely doable. I have an incentive to slim down I found out last night. My nephew's christening is coming up in May and I want to be able to feel fab in a nice dress so keeping that in mind next time I want to self sabotage! Plus our holiday is happening in August, even more of an incentive if I want to feel good around the pool.
Also getting to that stage where my clothes are feeling looser even if the numbers on the scales aren't quite doing what I want them to, good feeling isn't it MWM
Well my green day yesterday went well I didn't feel at all deprived. Ended up with 12.5 syns and hardly felt hungry all day. I am in agony today though after a weights workout but feeling good despite all that.
So aiming for a red day today
B - apple and cinnamon porridge (again) with a banana and yoghurt if I get peckish later, 2 cuppas
L - ham and egg muffins with salad (maybe a JP too as 2nd heb if I get hungry but will see how I feel)
T - spaghetti with meatballs although no spaghetti for me - so I'll have carrot & swede mash with mine I think and some green stuff (wanted to try boodles or squaffles but they
mustn't sell them in tesco)
Hope you all have a good day xx0 -
We didn't get the snow but the wind was shall we say breezy. There were 30 trees downed in our town and I ended up with a 7ft length of white guttering in my back garden it made a racket when it landed no idea where it came from. It is not mine and no one else seems to be missing it!!
I had to smile as Doris was my grandmother's name and it is the 3 year anniversary of her death this weekend. She would have loved that a storm was named after her so to speak.greentiger wrote: »Well done, shala and chocolateteddy.
Thanks for setting up another challenge, shala. I will go for a very conservative 5lbs this time. I have a weekend away mid March, then at end of March into April I will be in India and Dubai.
Well, this was Storm Doris central! A couple of trees down and about 4” snow with accompanying road chaos. I managed to drive to DD’s ok to take DGS to school, but had to walk him there because those streets were horrific. It was a walk into horizontal snow. I was soaked. When I was driving home I got to within 20 yards of the road up to our village but I had a 15 min wait for traffic to move so I could turn! That was nothing – DH set out for a 4 mile drive – it took 2 ½ hours. DDiL had to abandon her car about 2 miles from home (she did find a safe place to leave it) and had to walk back. Some of you may have seen the captain of my football team doing exercises while stuck in traffic – it was on Sky Sports and BBC Scotland news ha ha.

Completely lost the plot last night and ended up having about 50 syns - wine & Indian takeaway, which wasn't even worth it. Had a chicken Dhansk and it was nearly all sauce and not much chicken; didn't even enjoy it. What a waste of syns.
Line drawn and back on it today.
B - fruit & quark
L - beans on toast; salad
D - keralan prawns; rice; salad (another new recipe)
Won't be posting tomorrow as out for the day. No idea what I'll be eating but will try to have SW friendly if I can.
Have a good weekend everyone.

That's so nice ChocolateTeddy - made me smile!!!
I'm looking forward to watching the series too Candyapple.
What a jet setter you are Greentiger!
Shala I'll not be finishing the challenge by meeting my target either but I'm happy to have lost something!
Also pleased with myself for not eating my feelings and hitting the Chinese and wine throughout Mums Op and recovery period. Throw in an interview on top and again I've behaved! My mindset is definitely changing again! A week off chocolate and cheese tomorrow and haven't had wine since the start of January, so I'm taking those as all NSV's!
Once I get this second interview over me on Tuesday it will be full scale project slim for holiday!
Can you put me down for 7 lbs please Shala!
Suspect tomorrow will be a small gain, but that's ok, I am motoring on!!0 -
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I will join please
How many weeks is it for??0 -
Hi all
Well I lost the 2.5 I put on, what a poor month it has been for me. I am going to blame the miserable weather which always makes me want to eat more.
When I am in work I seem to be hallucinating .... I can smell food wherever I go. I keep walking round saying ooo who is having toasted tea cakes and yet nobody is?
So skinny hugs to all that need them, very well done to all the losers, and for me, must do better with the next challenge0 -
Thanks for the chart Shala moo
can you put me down for 7lb for the next challenge
thanks0 -
Shala I'll not be finishing the challenge by meeting my target either but I'm happy to have lost something!
Wise words lantanna.
I think how people approach target setting varies so much with your mindset. Personally I like to set a low target and then I'm thrilled with myself if I exceed it. It's as if I have a bottom line I'd live with but push myself to do better. Others are motivated by high aspirational targets. Then we've got the ones (and they've been in every group I've ever attended) who just say they want a loss, any loss. I'm sure we'd all agree that following SW, however loosely helps keep weight under control.
That's a disappointment denise, nothing worse than wasting syns especially when you've paid for them.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese and beetrootchicken curry, pilau rice and SW chips
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, 1.5 (shared) for rice and weekend wine.:T
There is Speed in the curry sauce (onions, peppers, mushrooms, spinach) but I might eat an apple or something later to be on the safe side.0
