Well WI wasn't as good as I'd hoped - just STS but still better than a gain. Sticking to plan (ie sticking to 15 syns a day) just doesn't seem to work that well for me, so going back to normal this week and having most syns at the weekend and cutting back during the week!

    Today's plan:

    B - grapes after WI
L - LO noodles with salad. Sweet chilli sauce synned yesterday (although there wasn't much left in it!)
D - cottage pie with added lentils & Speed veg; cabbage; brocolli (bought YS today - there's enough for another meal as well - not bad for 26p)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - Ryvita
    Syns - butter 4 syns

Doris is raging here, got my MOT in the morning so just been out to get an MOT wash end result sore head with all the wind!

I know how you feel Beanie - that's the sort of day that says Chinese and a bottle of wine to me. I am ignoring those thoughts lol.

Doris is raging here too but only wind, no snow or rain.:)

So long as you stick to 71g of cooked chicken that's a good Green day candy.

I don't think I could do daily syns either denise. It's not a weightloss thing just I know I'd feel deprived if the weekends weren't different from weekdays IYSWIM.

I'm very lazy when it comes to tasters abbafan. You could take something like Pufts or Pom Bears or Mikados or Werther Candies. I find people like to know what they taste like before buying their own. Or you could take a pot of one of the SW things (like potato salad) from Iceland for people to try before they buy.

My meal last night could have been quite SW friendly. I had potted smoked mackerel followed by sole with new potatoes and kale. Syns would have been in a bit of mayo in the mackerel, 2 melba toasts and the fish was pan fried. Wine syns mounted up though.;)

Today's the first of 3 really good, on plan days before I go to London on Sunday. I've also been on a good walk this morning so a bit of Body Magic too.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
    L: veggie omelette with pickles
D: salmon, new potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, green stuff (broccoli, asparagus, mange tout, peas).
    Syns: squirt of syrup

Haven't decided yet whether to marinate the salmon but if I do it won't be anything synful.
  • Hello all, Storm Doris has been a bit of a disappointment here in the NE to be honest, I was all set to batten down the hatches and then nothing really happened.

Sorry MissTeach, I wish I'd never mentioned about the rice possibly being a tweak now, I have no idea really and if your consultant can't see a problem with it then don't stop on my account :o

Thanks Esmy for that link - I had heard of TCC but never seen that index page before - it's amazing! Pinch of Nom is another I keep meaning to look at, like you Candyapple, I'm eating the same old things.

    Today's menu:
    B - None :o
D - Roasted salmon and cherry tomatoes on a bed of mushrooms and grated courgette saut!ed in soy sauce
T - Chicken and bacon stew from the freezer with AB C&S mash and broccoli
    HEA - milk
    HEB - pistachios
    Syns - Sugar in coffee (3), stew (1), hot choc (2) = 6

Had a bit of a productive day finalising dates for trips with friends, so I've just spent some time working out how long til each and how much I'd have to lose each week to be a certain weight by each date. First target is Manchester 9 weeks away, which should coincide with the end of the next challenge I think. I'd hope I could lose 8lbs ish and be in the 11 stone bracket by then.

After that it'll be Paris in June and Budapest in July! If I can lose 1.5lbs a week I'll be almost at target for the latter. Nothing like knowing you'll be having your picture taken a lot to motivate you!

Hope you're all staying safe in the storm, I know I've got it really easy compared to most xx

Don't apologise! I hadn't even considered it might be a tweak and I don't want to be sabotaging myself unknowingly! Nobody seems to have a definite answer. I personally don't see how it can be, but I'm also not willing to risk my weight loss for the sake of some cold rice :rotfl:So I'm glad you mentioned it!

Today has been good so far!
    Breakfast: melon and ham
Lunch: Veg soup, pear, satsuma and muller light
Dinner: 2 McCain frozen jacket potatoes (2 syns), baked beans, tuna mixed with 2 tbsp 70% less fat Salad cream (2 syns), 35g 30% less fat cheese (HeA) and salad consiting of mushroom, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, gherkins and beetroot.

Will have my hifi bars for HeB later and maybe a chocolate bar to take me over my 5 syns.

If you are just joining us you may not be aware of the bi-monthly challenge that we run to motivate ourselves, which you are welcome to join. It isn't a competition, just a way of setting ourselves mini targets if your total loss seems a bit overwhelming.

The new challenge will run from week commencing the 27th February and finish on the 30th April - this gives us 9 weeks.

If you wish to join in with us then please post your target loss for the 9 weeks in red* or bold or massive or all of the above so that I can see it really easily!

I will post the results chart each week on a Monday evening showing the prior weeks losses and singling out the person who has lost the most so we can make a great big fuss over them :T

Any questions please let me know - it doesn't matter which day you get weighed just let me know your loss on that day and i'll add it to the correct week (maybe, if I don't get confused!)

    Thanking you...wave_smiley39.gif

p.s. please keep posting your weight losses for this challenge, i'm still picking them up :D

  • I hadn't noticed that we're into the final week of the challenge already  I'm going to be gutted if I don't make my target. Especially since I was already over it until the stupid gain last week. WI is Sunday morning. I'm thinking I'd better go SP tomorrow and Saturday to help get things moving! Might go for a more conservative target for the next challenge. I know at the very least there will be a calorific afternoon tea during it which will mean a total wasted week!
