Just had a 'Tasties' biscuit for 83 calories, so 4 syns :)

Very nice, bit like a strawberry jam tart, someone brought them into work.

I'll have an options before bed with some alpen lights and that's my HEXA (2/3 milk and a babybel light) and HEXB covered :)

    Afternoon all

I'm having a lazy day today - my hip is really painful and I managed to hobble to the hairdresser this morning but now I've got my feet up and I'm not planning to walk far. Im not sure what I've done, it was fine last night - it was quiz night and I walked there and back, but had to go to the loo during the night and struggled to get out of bed. :(

Top Girl - I'm with you on some of the nonsense that's posted elsewhere re Speed and having to have a portion on the side of every plate. I add loads of speed to meals like chilli, curry, spag bol etc and make small amounts of meat go a long way. I often see plates of food on Facebook that are obviously lacking in speed - yesterday I saw a plate with 3 sausages, an egg, beans and 3 smallish mushrooms!

Pleased to hear you've got a 2nd interview Lantanna, I'll keep everything crossed for you.

Welcome to the thread Jess and well done for your progress so far. Losing your motivation is hard to overcome, I've struggled with it too. I spur myself on by reminding myself why I want to lose weight and why I don't want to put it back on. I used to get frustrated when weight didn't come off as quickly as I wanted but now I realise that's not important, I know it sounds clich!d but I don't think of it as a diet but a way of life, which is going to be the way I eat for the rest of my life, and the result will be living a healthier/slimmer me.

Hope your day has improved Lush.

    See you later.

    LL :)

They are definitely tricky! Espcially when you've been big forever! I met my now husband when I was 16 (am 30 now) and I'm smaller now (by a little bit!) than I was then. So I'm the smallest I've ever been since being a child! Even as a young teenager, I'm pretty sure I was wearing size 14 clothes so size 10 still feels like it could never happen! I shall just keep on and see where I get.

Yes it's exactly the same for me, I think I was actually a size 16 when i finished high school, i remember school said we had to have our skirts from a certain shop and they had to ordee one in specially 😐. This is the second time since I've got back to 16. It'll be party time when I get below that 😂 lol. Setting a target weight feels like plucking a random number out of thin air not a clue. It can happen and I'm sure it will :) my mum's 2 lbs from target weight, she's lost 8 stone something and got back to her weight when she got married nearly 30 years ago. From size 24 to 10/12, she just decided she was doing it and did it :) x

Abbafan1972 - we have the old version of that soup maker it's fab! Word of warning though doesn't work for slimming world tomatoe soup recipe (the one with the pickled onions) it's the only one we've had a problem with it was too liquidy we think and sort of overheated. 27 mins to go from chunky veg herbs stock cube and water to smooth hot soup, does about 4 mugs full too. So good we got my aunt one for Christmas :)

I totally don't get tweaks... I don't get why somethings are and some things aren't... so confusing.

I'm feeling a lot better about everything today, I think time of the month brain was poking sore spots.
Yesterday finished on 8 syn, weetabix with sugar 1 syn + an entire thing of raspberries, pasta n sauce + onion, tomatoes, mushroom and spinach. And chilli and rice for pudding. 1/2 syn for flour. Apple snack & Syns on digestive thins... love those things! And something else I can't put my finger on right now...

Today - weetabix, again 1 syn sugar
Lunch I've finished up the chilli with brown rice 1/2 syn and half a 2 finger kitkat split it with mum 2.5 syn.
Dinner - something with chicken... going to try a sort of chicken mayo with quark and bacon I think... on a jacket potato with salad. See how it goes :) and yogurt, fruit and meringue or jelly for pudding

I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....

that sounds right up my street; as much as I use quark I'd never thought to try anything like that with it. touch of curry powder and it would be like coronation chicken. nom nom nom. going on the list for after payday!

Literally loving my lunches yesterday and today! can't have it tomorrow as I'm at our other office so I'm going to make leek and potato soup tonight and take a big mug of that :)

thanks everyone for your well wishes - on my own in this particular office today so nice to have some space and I've got a few bits done that I've been putting off. helps a lot that there's so much support here :)

    Changes to this afternoon/evening:
had 2 cups of tea so far and most of the way through a 750ml bottle of water - determined to ditch the bloat/water weight from the weekend
going to have a groovy biscuit about 3.30 with another cuppa
tea has changed to creamy mushroom chicken. it's a cooking sauce from aldi at 25/26 syns for the jar. The three of us will eat from it (big portion for OH probably close to two servings[!], half portion for littlie and a half portion for me. usually leaves some sauce/chicken as an extra meal for me/littlie - basing these portion on the jar serving 4 like it says - four considerable portions in my eyes I can easily feed 5/6 from those jars with veg etc added!) calling that 6.5 syns for a portion. I will have mine with some pickled onion, beetroot and mushrooms plus some cauliflower probably
that will set me at about 14.5 syns for the day
I have some asda rhubarb and vanilla yogurt (free last thing I knew) which I will have some in the evening if I fancy anything more

think I will do overnight oats tonight for breakfast at work tomorrow :)

That basically sums up the whole thing!!! When your in the mood and want it so bad you'll do everything to make sure that you get there!

I've talked myself out of having a few things the last couple of days so that's good, long may that continue.

Thanks, yes fingers crossed for Tuesday - not thinking to far ahead with it though at the minute. I've been here before and been eliminated lol

Did I tell you that as of last Saturday I've entered into No chocolate no cheese for the 7 weeks until I go on holiday. Just because those are my two biggest vices and I strongly believe in my case those are the little extras that have contributed to my regain. We have an ad on tv at the minute saying 100 cals extra a day can add to up 10 lbs weight gain in a year. It has made me think.........

Anyway def for group on Saturday - not expecting a loss but to not have regained the whopping whole 3.5 lbs that I've lost this challenge would be nice!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Also got my suncreams ordered today and picked up that new Lianne Moriarity book to add to the going on hol collection.

So that has also spurred me on to behave myself! lol

Ooh I love Lianne Moriarty books, didn't know she had a newie out. Good luck with the 2nd interview :)

Well I had a gain this week which has annoyed me - half blaming the takeaway at weekend which I didn't enjoy what a waste of syns, but probably had more to do with me binge eating ginger nuts yesterday  But oddly enough I feel slimmer this week, my jeans aren't cutting me in two round my middle. So it's not all bad!

I've wanted a soup maker for ages but I'm always worried about buying kitchen gadgets. With the exception of my slow cooker I tend to buy things and only use them a handful of times then they get shoved in a cupboard somewhere. But I'm hugely tempted by that Morphy Richards one as it's quite cheap. Argos are tempting me with that actifry I wanted as well, its under £100 at the moment - trying to figure out how much I really want it :D

From tomorrow I'm doing red & green days for a week to see how I fare. Hoping the extra HEs will stop me snacking so much.

    Back on the wagon tomorrow!

If any consolation I have just had two mini smartie chocolate bars.
    Have had a stressful day.
