  • Aw beanie bless you that sounds horrible! I tripped in the street a few years ago and really whacked my knee. It was right outside a busy shopping centre and I was completely mortified. Lots of people tried to help me but I just wanted to be left alone to slink off without my dignity. Think I hobbled home and bought chocolate and wine after that :D Hope you're feeling better today

Amazing loss so far MissTeach well done you :T

Yay to the NSV greentiger :T - I've found my winter coat is feeling a bit more roomy since I've stopped stuffing my face with junk, its really spurring me on

I didn't enjoy my takeaway last night - I felt so horrible and bloaty afterwards :( I only ate half which I reckon is a NSV in itself - my OH is a bit of gannet though thankfully and polished the rest of mine off.

Trying SP today to minimise the damage, I've not done SP in so long. So today's food looks like this

B - porridge with apple & cinnamon, 2 cups of tea
L - sausage casserole (0.5 syn plus 3 syns for sachet) with onions & tomatoes, carrot & swede mash, cabbage
T - SW fry up - egg, bacon, beans, fried tomatoes & onions

2nd HEB will be ryvita with remaining HEXA which I'll use on cheese

Yum, quite looking forward to my food today

Gorgeous sunny day today so I'll have to get out for some body magic

    Happy Sunday everyone xx
  • Oh dear yesterdays syns.......

However, great away day out so, not sorry!

Muchos alcohol and Hooters chicken wings (how could I not enjoy!)
be happy with an STS tonight.

Might get out of bed soon and start to plan today's food.

  • Aw BEANIE I feel your pain. I prob would have done exactly the same.

Would someone mind telling me what a NSV is?? I keep seeing it in posts and have no idea. Thanks!

Well I've been sort of doing the 777 challenge this week in the hope of a loss. Think I'll have finished on about 10 syns a day, not 7 but certainly lower than previous weeks. I have increased my speeds and water so we shall see tomorrow when I WI. I had a STS last week and desperately wanted to see a different number on the scale this week. Fingers crossed.

To all the self sabotaging people out there, just try again tomorrow. I had one day this week where I had a hospital procedure which meant lots of sugary tea and biscuits at the day surgery unit. Subsequently I finished that day on 24 syns - a LOT more than my allocated 7. I didn't worry about it too much and just got back on it. Tomorrow I am hopeful for a loss despite this.

I too have had chocolate in the house and am getting better at allowing myself just a little for a couple of syns. This is unheard of as previously I could devour a whole chocolate orange in one go and still want more.

    Anyway, keep on going x

I got mine a while ago and realised that i am neither richer nor more money savvy than i was when i joined! Its just another avenue for me to see things to buy lol.

Ha same - I have so much more financial responsibility now yet I've gone completely off the MSE track, such a flibbertigibbet these days!

Sorry to hear some of you are into self sabotaging. You can't go backwards so get those lines drawn.:)

LOVE THIS. Maman, you truly are a SW sage.

Welcome Miss Teach and well done on a fantastic weight loss so far!

Hugs Beanie, that sounds traumatic xx

Ohhh the things that have passed my lips in the last 48 hours! Including a raspberry mojito and a blueberry amaretto cocktail, so plenty of Speed too ;)

Hoping I can make up for it over the next five days and lose two pounds to hit my challenge target. I'm working tomorrow but otherwise have a completely clear week so plenty of time to plan and cook properly. Going to try the 777 challenge as well as upping my exercise.

    Today will be:
B - None as I've basically just got up.
D - Bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomatoes
T - Going to make some sort of chicken and quinoa soup with tomatoes, carrots, leeks, courgette if I can get one, etc.

Already had three large coffees so it's water and herbal tea for the rest of the day.

PS - MSM - A NSV is a Non-Scale Victory, where you see your weightloss somewhere other than the number on the scales, e.g. fitting into an old dress again or getting a compliment from a friend.

Same here. Falling in public is so embarrassing, specially when you can't get straight back on your feet and pretend nothing happened. Last year I tripped over a sleeping policeman  in a car park and DH was trying to get me up quickly as he was concerned about approaching cars and I just wanted to take my time.

    Virtual hugs Beanie.

It stands for Non Scale Victory and it means a good thing that shows you're doing well which isn't necessarily to do with the number on the scales.

Sorry to hear about all the self sabotage, especially yours beanie. It's understandable as comfort eating is well documented but, being a target member, I can honestly say that feeling slim beats any taste of chocolate or anything else synful. It really is worth persevering. I read something about SW this week saying 'Remember why you started'....so back to basics. Personally I find not having things in helps and just buying DH treats that I don't like much.

The cottage cheese kievs were lovely kathrynha, we'll definitely have them again. I made savoury mince last night in the SC while I was prepping dinner. I've done 3 portions for the freezer and a base for a cottage pie. Later I'll do carrot and swede mash for the topping so we can have a SP meal (or day hopefully) on Tuesday.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: probably bacon and mushroom omelette with pickles
D: HB steaks, SW roast parsnips and potatoes, swede & carrot mash, cauli, cabbage, red cabbage
Syns: squirt of syrup and weekend wine.:D

Welcome Miss Teach you've done really well so far. Are you nearly at target or do yous still have more to lose?

Well done Greentiger on your NSV - sometimes they feel better than 0.5lb off!!!

    Today's plan:

    B - SW fry up
L - Ryvita; quark, ham, cucumber, pickled onions
D - roast pork, roasted potatoes, carrots & shallots, cauliflower, cabbage. Apple sauce (1 syn). Have made some SF jelly so will have some with fresh fruit & quark if it's ready, otherwise just fruit & quark

    HEA - milk
    HEB - 4 Ryvita
Syns - apple sauce 1; jelly (if ready) 0.5; weekend wine :D

    Miss Teach

Congratulations on your journey so far and welcome to our friendly group grab a chair and a :coffee:
  • Hi folks,

Weigh in was yesterday and that's another 2.5 lb[/off . The weekends are never great for me, although I do save almost all of my Syns for them.

I have made a SW quiche and some butternut squash soup for snacking on through the week and the weekly meal plan is also done.

Hope everyone has a good week with some fab losses.
