Another one self sabotaging here. I do this all the time, lose a stone then ease off on the efforts and it slowly creeps back on. My mantra this week should be read before you feed as i am getting caught out with high syn foods e.g. i assumed that lindor balls would be 2 syns but they are 4 and i ate 6 of them! Its time to get a grip.
If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!
  • ali-t I had my last lindt truffle yesterday but have to admit I didn't check up the syns for it... I tend not to for the odd truffle, but I have a rule only to buy chocolate that costs an arm and a leg now because I get less tempted to eat more than one lol. I have 1 black forest truffle left from Christmas being kept for when it's exactly what I need, they work out as about £1 per truffle  but they are goooooooood :D

I ended on 6 syns + a lindt truffle yesterday so I now know thats more like 10 syns oops... not quite the 5 I was aiming for.
I got scuppered by there only being 4 mini meringues left in the box so wasn't worth putting 2 away ....

Saturdays are actually nice easy ones for me we have steak for dinner, have done for years now, we just have the SW chips instead of normal ones, and we've been having roasted veg (onion, pepper, mushroom, tomatoes) with it lately as well as salad which is a nice change.

Breakfast - hifi and cup of tea, not a proper one but I'm an artist and I have a piece I should have sent out yesterday but it's not finished yet :'( so I'm working on that, just having a break before the tea goes cold
Lunch - I have a 4.5 syn pasta to eat up.
I'm aiming to finish on 7 syns today, not sure what I'm using the rest for but I'm hoping there might be some digestive thins about today, not been able to get them anywhere and I ate the last one yesterday :'(

Toomuchworry - when you change the colour just make sure the cursor is between the 2 lots of square brackets when you start typing and it'll change it. Hope that makes sense!

Was good yesterday and decided not to have any wine so saved myself 15 syns! Stuck to diet tonic all evening even though my friend and DH were both drinking wine:A.

    Today's plan:

B - scrambled eggs on toast
L - LO lamb tagine & pomegranate couscous
D - Low Fat Burger (from butcher 0.5 syn); SW chips, onions, salad

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - burger 0.5; wine 15

If I stick to plan then I'll have evened out the syns over the 3 days since WI so no reining back necessary during the week:T.

:T well done tmw. Pleased for you, that's a good loss.:)

Glad you've got the procedure all planned out kathrynha and they haven't kept you hanging around for an appointment. 95% is an excellent success rate. Think positive.:A

Sorry to hear some of you are into self sabotaging. You can't go backwards so get those lines drawn.:)

Plenty of green beans here lois. Courgettes starting to come back (£2.50 per kilo in Aldi yesterday) but haven't bought any yet. I find green beans bland unless I cook them synfully (saute in butter and garlic) so tend to avoid. Most weeks I buy a range of green stuff (currently asparagus, mange tout, broccoli and sometimes add peas) and do that as a side.

I managed a Friday without wine syns too denise.:D Proved very easy in the end as I was feeling quite queasy so didn't fancy any. I think it was my fault for eating too much too quickly. All SW friendly but I had lunch very late and dinner very early.

I have a plan for today but not feeling hungry at all at the moment.

B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
    L: veggie omelette and pickles
D: trying the chicken 'kievs' with SW chips, mushrooms, tomatoes and green stuff
Syns: weekend wine (if I don't I'll know I'm ill;)).
  • Having an off plan day today. OH's friend has opened an indian takeaway place so we are going there to try it out and show him a bit of support. Unfortunately the curries I like are in no way SW friendly (I'm a curry wuss so its the mild creamy ones all the way for me) so calling this an off plan day and starting afresh tomorrow. Hoping that one day off won't do too much damage! We are walking there and back with the dog (about a mile and a half each way) so that's the body magic sorted out!

Big hugs to the self sabotagers, I'm one of them!

Those lindt truffles sound sooo good, don't think I could stop at just one though and definitely couldn't keep them in the cupboard, I know that I'm like and I swear stuff like that call out to me :D

Hope everyone's having a good weekend xx

    HI all

Done all the shopping so sitting down for a wee rest before starting tea.

    Today's plan was/is:

    Breakfast: melon, strawberries and raspberries
lunch: toast with rocket, roast beef, cucumber and tomatoes
dinenr: Iceland prawn and salmon terrine (8.5 syns) followed by steak, mushroom, tomatoes, peas and sw chips, Tarte au citron (4.5 syns) wine (????? syns)

not good syns wise for dinner but a) it is our valentine's meal and b) I have held back each day this week and have been syn free today so far - which was really hard when the kids had something from Costa in town today - definately my weakness but I resisted.

    Have a good evening all.
