Good idea with the pre made meals! I must get onto that!
I was thinking M&S or whatever's easiest for you that their budget can run to. Has to be cheaper than the services of their personal chef!;)
Thanks kathrynha. Wow, home grown garlic!:T Do you crush it and mix with the cheese?0 -
Afternoon all! Lost 0.8lbs this week which is a little disappointing as I've been on the speed all week - oh well, hopefully it will catch up with me at some point.
Hope you had a lovely weekend Tete, sounds like my kind of birthday!
All this talk of stuffed peppers has me wanting one now, shame we're having jacket potatoes again today. DH has been throwing up since Friday night again, really hope I don't pick up whatever it is!
Also went into Lidl this morning and they finally had the flavoured Skyr yogurts in that I've seen all over the place. Picked up one of every flavour to try, really hoping they are synfree!
Menu plan is:
B - Porridge (HEB and 1/2 HEA), strawberries
L - Cauliflower Cheese soup (2 syns), carrots, cucumber, pepper, tomatoes
D - Jacket potato, beans, salad
S - 3 mikado, lidl skyr yogurt, pearsEmergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

Time to rein it in now though. I saw something on Instagram the other day called the 777 Challenge - 7 Syns, 7 glasses of water and 7 Speed foods a day.
.
I like the sound of that Tete, might give it a try. Keeping to 7 syns will be the issue for me. Caved in and had peanut m&m's then a choc/peanut hottie. Think I preferred the peanut hottie and its only 4 syns. It definitely lasted longer! If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -

Yep, just crush it and stir it in the cheese.
Garlic is really easy to grow. You just buy a bulb from the supermarket, split it in to cloves and plant them all pointy but upwards, and you get a bulb for every clove you planted.Zebras rock0 -
Maman - it won't be moules - had those yesterday so don't want again! Anyway we'll be going to a restaurant and probably have a menu du jour so 3 or 4 courses with wine!
But probably won't need much, if any thing, when we get home!
kathryn - didn't have much luck last time I grew garlic and didn't "grow" a skin round them and when I dug them up they just fell apart into cloves! Must try again though.

afternoon all,
well I was properly off the wagon at the weekend - and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! was away with friends that we probably only see twice a year. I am not going to beat myself up about it I am simply drawing a line under it and hoping tomorrows WI isn't too bad!
Today:
B: opps kind skipped
L: massive chicken salad, lots of speed and scan branslamon and lots of speed veg and potato
snacks: celery sticks, carrot sticks and blackberries
HEA Milk, HEB scan bran!walk 2018 miles in 2018 - 781 of 2018

Same here, I rarely use under 10 Syns. What is a peanut hottie, like a hot drink? Yes this is exactly why I like my Options of an evening - 2 Syns and it lasts much longer than a Freddo or whatever.
Lantanna I didn't read the bit about your parents before. I think you're absolutely doing the right thing. My grandma relies on me a lot and it's hard to say no but I force myself when she's being unreasonable (phoning me with no notice asking for a lift somewhere, etc) because the more you do the more they will expect and you have to have your own life.
Well I had so many plans for today. Did a bit of paperwork this morning and went food shopping, then felt so tired and period painy after lunch that I went for a lie down at 2.30 and only woke up at 5! So time for a quick coffee before yoga but that's all. At least I haven't eaten my way through the afternoon!
B - Muller Light, passion fruit, chia seeds
D - Roasted salmon, cherry tomatoes, red onion and mushrooms with boiled eggs
T - BNS, potato, carrot and onion soup
HEA - Milk
HEB - Nuts
Syns - Sugar in coffee (3), chia seeds (1), hot choc (later - 2) = 6
So that's seven instances of Speed but not seven different ones... Only 6 Syns and only 2 glasses of water so far...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I had a terrible evening last night. Ate everything in site
Didn't count the syns but pretty sure I ate the equivalent of at least the full weeks worth
Felt so sick last night. I've drawn a line under it and just going to forget about it. If I try to make up for it I'll probably end up doing the same again so still going to have my syns this week.
Booked a week in Lanzarote for the start of October. Really looking forward to it but definitely need to have a few stone more lost by then. Hopefully the thought of it will help motivate me to stay on track.Back on the slimming world wagon 04.01.18

The Delia goulash was a big success. Thanks for the recommendation ATT. DH loved it and I've got a small portion left. That will definitely go on the meal plan again.:)
Great news Maman, pleased you enjoyed it, I love it though was very peeved when I made my last vat of it last week that there were no courgettes to be had to add it to but I still squeezed in lots of other speed
I can see quark has been mentioned a few times, this is something I really like and pretty much nothing I wouldn't add it to or use it forbut I have found that the taste differs depending on where you buy it and some im really not keen on so now always buy the Sains 'quark by Sain' Number 1, mild and creamy. There's not many things I dislike from aldi but their quark is one of them....

Hi all
Some great losses rolling in so well done all and commiserations and hugs to the STS'ers and gainers, I'm in the latter camp this week but will post separately about that!
I know I don't post that often but I do read all the posts so thanks for all the support and recipe ideas. I'm going to try and post my menus every day for the next week so please do let me know any thoughts you have or things you spot
Maman, I think it was you asking about the chicken kievs and I know there's been responses but (and not sure if you are a quark lover or not) but mixing the garlic with some quark and putting inside the chicken is lovely too. The other thing I do sometimes is stick a b@bybel in and it gets all melty and yummy
Congrats on your anniversary LouisLane, sounds like a lovely day
Enjoy France Denise, your roast chicken dinner yesterday sounded fab!
Regards
