  • Hi everyone

Sorry for being awol on here, I've been half off plan and half on, it's crazy hormone week so I just want to eat the entire chocolate aisle in tesco, have also somehow hurt my back and it's making me grumpy and causing me to comfort eat  but a peek on the scales yesterday made me :( so trying ridiculously hard to reign it in

I'm off most of this week just working today and then off again until Friday so planning on lots of batch cooking and early spring cleaning.

So far I've just had 2 cuppas using hexa milk, plan for the rest of the day is ..

B - porridge using remaining hexa with apple & cinnamon
L - roast peppers stuffed with flavoured cous cous 0.5 syn (sorry maisie totally pinched your idea but it sounds yummyyy)
T - taco jackets SW magazine recipe, not tried this before but it sounds quite yum - having with loads of salad. 2 syns for taco seasoning which I'll add to mince

Keeping it low syn today as I've misbehaved this week

Hope everyone is well, hugs to all that need them

Have a fab day everyone xx

    Morning

Yesterday's lunch was absolutely gorgeous - not SW friendly at all but very enjoyable and the pound I reported yesterday didn't reappear on the scales! :D

Today will be strictly low syn and alcohol free but the rest of the week isn't. Valentines dinner and dance tomorrow which is five courses but there will be body magic as I plan to dance off a few calories.

I'm liking the idea of stuffed peppers - I've got some LO spag bol in the fridge and I'm thinking of bulking it out with rice and using it to stuff a pepper. We could have it with SW chips or saut! potatoes and some extra speed food.

Did anyone see 'Trust me I'm a doctor' last week? They reported findings that rice contains arsenic and more remains if you cook it until the water is absorbed. They recommended soaking it overnight, rinsing it, then cooking in plenty of water, drain, then rinse again with boiling water. I don't soak or rinse rice before cooking it but I do use plenty of water and rinse after cooking.

Hugs to all those in need and congrats to all the losers.

    Have a great week!

    LL :)

    Morning,

So Saturday was a STS for me. Hardly surprising as it is star week again.

Back having two of those a month again , 12 days ago since the last one finished but anyway carry on I shall.

Hopefully get a good loss this week. I was thinking yesterday I felt much slimmer than after xmas.

Looking forward to phasing out my services at the parents and getting back to cooking at my own house for myself and getting things used up in the freezer. It will be a shock to them when I go so have to phase it out and also don't want them becoming reliant on it which I can see happening and then they ll take offence when I disappear lol.
  • Aghhh!

This week is a STAY THE SAME.

Very disappointed. It will be down to the restaurant meal last week but I worked hard to stay within my syns for the remainder of the week. Maybe I will have to lower my syns.

However, at least I haven't gained. I've been cooking SW meals religiously and will continue to do this. Next week will be better.

Hope everyone else is doing okay x

  • Morning everyone, some good losses and some very near misses over the last few days - keep the faith all, you're doing well!

I have put on 3lbs since Friday after a very tasty birthday weekend including a Chinese takeaway, big pub Sunday Dinner with jam roly poly and custard, some booze and plenty of chocolate :D

Time to rein it in now though. I saw something on Instagram the other day called the 777 Challenge - 7 Syns, 7 glasses of water and 7 Speed foods a day. Think I might give it a try til Friday, the first two I could certainly do with doing and as for 7 Speed foods - I certainly have 7 portions of Speed a day but not necessarily different things (I'll often have mushrooms, onion and tomatoes twice a day in different guises).

Gotta do a meal plan and a Big Shop now so will report back later.

Good idea lantanna for a phased exit from the parents; definitely don't want them relying on you entirely.

Enjoy the rest of the week LL; sounds very busy.

    Today's plan is SP:

    B - boiled eggs; asparagus
L - ham salad - lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, pepper, beetroot, pickled onions; HM syn free onion chutney
D - HM chicken curry using up LO chicken from yesterday. Curry sauce has onions, tomatoes, grated carrot, garlic; spices (made my own curry paste); spicy cabbage; cauliflower rice. DH & my sister will have normal rice with cardamon seeds & cumin seeds. Also making them naan bread. I will have a WM pitta (HEB + 1)
S - Ryvita; quark; ham; cucumber; pickled onions

    HEA - milk
    HEB1 - pitta
    HEB2 - 2 Ryvita

    Syns - wine

Won't be posting tomorrow as off to France for the day and no idea what I'll be eating but will definitely be off plan.

This week's eating and drinking don't bode well for a good WI on Thursday!

Moules are free denise. Shame about the frites!:D Have a great day.

I think you've done ever so well not to give in to the stress of looking after the parents lantanna. Definitely time to ease of being head cook and bottle washer. What about just leaving a few ready meals in the freezer for them to do themselves? Oh and should you be seeing your GP?:A

I like the sound of those 'kievs' kathryna. I have chicken braests I want to try something different with.
Do you just stuff a raw chicken breast, wrap in bacon and roast (for how long)? Do you use real garlic or lazy?

I've just checked and there's a mid morning group near me on Wednesday. I've not been for a few weeks and we're out Thursday and next Monday so I think I'll go before things go downhill. Fingers crossed to be still in range.:)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold meat, fried LO veg and pickles
D: baked haddock, tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (broccoli, asparagus, mange tout) and some potato (mash or chips?)

When I made SW chips on Friday I froze a few (after par boiling, cooling and spraying). It's an experiment to see if I can make HM oven chips. They look fine (not turned grey or anything) so I'll let you know if it works.
  • Thanks TETE EN L'AIR,

I hadn't heard of the 777 challenge. Will be giving it a go this week in the hope of a loss next Monday.

    Cheers!

Oh I've been Maman last year, all sorts of investigations were done and no rhyme or reason for it found. Its a complete mystery but glad nothing sinister is behind it.

Good idea with the pre made meals! I must get onto that!
