  • Didn't weigh in yesterday morning at group as we had an appointment to go to and booked a holiday week.

Hubby is at work today - I'm not cooking, so I'm taking the girls to Buffet Island at lunch time (Chinese), oops!

    Good morning everybody,

STS this week. I am not disappointed at this after my good loss last week.

I will try a little harder these next coming days.

    Morning all

I'm going to report in a day early this week, with a loss of 1lb. Weighing in early is slightly cheating but after our anniversary lunch today that precious pound might reappear tomorrow.

Great losses Shala, Haylaluru, GTS and anyone else I've missed.

I also love tinned mackerel, specially the one with mustard, I have it at least once a week. I used to like fish sandwiches but they had to be made with thick sliced white bread and real butter so they're a treat I haven't had in a long time.

Must look up that Delia goulash recipe, I'm always looking for new ideas as I get bored if we have the same meal too often.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.

    LL :)

  • -1.3 for me this week :( Really disappointed as 1.4 would have put me out of the 16's. When I checked on Thursday I was out of them so don't know what went wrong. I've been so good this week  Next week I'll be out of them for sure!

Had today planned out but lunch changed from a cold ham salad to some nice hot mussels & clams. Not had clams before, they were OK but wouldn't go out of my way to have them again.

    Rest of today:

    B - SW fry up
L - mussels & clams; shallots, bread (HEB), butter (3 syns)
D - roast chicken, roasted chantenay carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, sweet potato mash, roast potatoes

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - butter 3

Will try not to have any more syns as need to rein it back in but it's going to be difficult as my sister is coming down tomorrow so wine will be consumed and then on Tuesday I will be off plan completely as going to France for the day.

I need to try to be syn free during the day tomorrow and then all day Wednesday for a bit of damage limitation!

Well done lois, tweets and whiplashy. :T
    Here's the Delia recipe.

    http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/international/european/hungarian/braised-beef-goulash-with-smoked-pimento

I added in mushrooms with the onions and peppers (which I think needed more than 30 mins to cook). I roughly halved the recipe (have you ever seen a 220g tin of tomatoes??) for two of us and some LO for lunch today and didn't bother with flour as it was plenty thick enough for us.

Hope the lunches went well for your anniversary and abbafan.:) When I was getting to target I was very good for the first 3 months but then decided that if I was eating out I was going to enjoy myself even if it took longer.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, ham, HEB toast, fried egg, mushrooms, tomatoes
L: JP with LO goulash, extra mushrooms and cottage cheese
D: lamb, SW roast potatoes, parsnips and chantenay carrots (snap! denise;)), cauli, broccoli, cabbage
    Syns: gravy and wine syns:D

Gravy will probably be high syn as it's a roast shoulder of lamb which is generally fatty but I love it!

Just doing the online stop at Asda and I wanted to try the Princes Mackerel with Mustard but they don't have any Princes Mackerel on there at all.

Meal at Buffet Island was lovely - really enjoyed it, but need to get back on track tomorrow.

  • Thanks for the tip maman and lois I'll look out for the mustard one on my next shop.

Think I'll be trying the goulash too.
