Had a dream the other night I was eating a snickers. I am most odd I never have a snickers or even think of them!

maybe you've subconsciously seen the new "thing" that's going around - apparently if you get chocolate hifi and a salted caramel hifi and slice them lengthways, put them together and eat it, it tastes exactly like a snickers! I'm sure it is the salted caramel one not the peanut one but that doesn't make sense to me..

Also the other one is 23 hazelnuts (heb) covered in a melted freddo = whole nut dairy milk..

Welcome to the thread Pixtotts

    Menu for today
Brunch - ham, eggs, cheesy garlic bread (B&A) pickles, carrot sticks and coleslaw(2)
    Tea - pasta bake

The cheesy garlic bread was lovely, I used a wholemeal roll cut into quarters and topped it with grated mozzarella, garlic granules and parsley and cooked it.
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

  • Thank you all for your support.
Hope you all have a good week.
I'm having 1 off plan meals today - just because- but with be back on plan tomorrow with bells on!
Although I haven't lost this week I feel so much healthier and am sleeping better too so that alone is worth continuing

    Great loss shala. Well done!:T

Congratulations on the Big O tie. That'll keep them away for a bit.:)

You'll be fine tmw. Not everyone loses regularly every week but being good always catches up with you:D (as does being bad:().

You deserved your NSV MrsR. :T on the healthy food options.

I'm about to listen to the football and cook while the radio's on. I'm going to try the Delia goulash recipe for tonight. Denise, when you cook the duck breasts do you do them in the oven? I've got some in the freezer that I'd like to use up but I'm reluctant to fry in case they don't cook properly.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: mushroom omelette with pickles
D: Delia's goulash with red cabbage and hassleback potatoes
Syns: squirt of syrup, weekend wine:D.

Maman - I start the duck breasts off in a pan (which can go in the oven) to render down the fat and get it crispy and then drain it off before turning over and putting in the oven for about 5 minutes or so (obviously this will vary depending on how you like it cooked - we like it quite rare).

Have tried doing it in the oven but because of the fat the breast is sitting in it while it's cooking and to me it just isn't as nice.

I don't actually eat the fat but DH does, LOL!

    Denise

PS The duck breasts were really tasty and I really enjoyed it but unfortunately I ate the skin so now need to syn it! Anyone any idea how many syns?

We'll actually look forward to MOTD for a change tonight greentiger although it's always depressing seeing 'our' players with other teams. Apparently Mane was interviewed at Spurs but they wouldn't meet his wage demands. Greedy but**er! Have a good time in Arran. :)

denise , syns online says 13.5 for 100g of duck with skin  I can't believe that.

We've not had dinner yet but the goulash smells good.:drool:
  • Well this week tinned mackerel salads have been my go to lunch. Hard to believe a bread monster like me now looks forward to a salad!

The scales seemed to like it too as I was -4 lbs today.
