    Woo hoo its Friday!!

Got a really good session done in the gym last night, treadmill, cross trainer and weights and was singing in the car on the way home. I def need exercise to focus regularly in my life for my mind!

    Enjoy your new freezer Denise!

Hope to get something off in the morning - was thinking last night about how much I struggled last year so at least even if my losses are small I am losing again.

Finished off Apple Tree Yard last night, wish I'd kept the book now as I as always much preferred the book and would like to read it again.

Getting my eyebrows done at 5pm they are currently a sight.

Roll on weigh in so I can enjoy my Saturday!!!

Freezer up and running now. Have put a couple of empty boxes in it so I don't need to fill it up immediately. Planning on getting some bread, burgers & sausages and some veg today. Will then have a think about what else to get. Obviously will also put some HM ready meals in soon!

    Today's plan:

B - porridge, grapes, strawberries, pineapple
L - jacket potato, beans, salad
D - HM cod, chips & peas; fruit & quark

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge
    Syns - weekend wine:D

    It's Friday!:j

Glad you had a loss tete.:T This week will be difficult for you with meals out but try and be as low on syns in between as you can.:)

Have a good weekend MrsR. Hope you find plenty of SW friendly food.:)

I've not done my meal plan or shop yet but I've got enough in for today:

B:NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk for drinks
L: lentil and veg soup or omelette and pickles depending what I fancy
D: chicken, SW chips, tomatoes, mushrooms and green stuff
Syns: scrape of spread, weekend wine:j.

It's a YS chicken crown from Sainsbury's which has syns but that's because of the skin so I won't eat that.

    Hi all

Wow, I'm well behind on the thread, what a chatty lot you are! ;)

Welcome to the thread pixtotts . You remind me of a couple of young women in the group I used to go to, they both went along with their mums who followed the plan to the letter and lost every week, but they weren't quite so willing to give up on the things they liked to do with their 20 something friends. It was fair week and the consultant asked them what treats that would usually involve, the answer was "cheesy chips and cider" so she asked what they would have this time - the answer was "cheesy chips and cider"! :rotfl:

Well done to the losers, particularly if you feel like you've been struggling - Beanie and Tete.

I'm also quite flexible with my meal planning, DH and I sit down and work out which days we're eating out, and then think up a number of meals for the days that are left. Some meals are more suitable for some days than others, like a roast dinner on Sunday, a slow cooker meal on a day when I'm not going somewhere in the morning. The others are flexible, I decide the night before so I can take something out of the freezer if necessary. The other complication is if I've decided to include any Red, Green or SP days as that affects what we eat at lunchtime. The only planning I do for lunches is to make sure we always have plenty of salad stuff and ingredients for soup.

Talking of lunch, DH has just returned from the golf range and I've made some veg and lentil soup for lunch.

    Catch you later!

Feeling a little more human today, a bit less drugged, although needing to keep the painkillers up.

Seem to have moved on from the not wanting to eat, to wanting to comfort eat, which aint good, but not got that much in the house so can't go that far off the rails.

    Todays plan:
    Breakfast - yogurt
    Lunch - chicken salad
Dinner - jacket potato with tuna and cottage cheese
Snacks - cereal bars (too many of them!)

    HA - milk
HB - 2 of the cereal bars
    Zebras rock
  • I seemed to have forgotten to post my Monday weigh in which was STS

would have preferred a half stone but happy overall :rotfl:

skinny hugs to all that need them and well done to all the losers x

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit more normal kathryna.:)

I don't plan lunches or breakfasts lois, just make sure I have suitable ingredients in. DH always does our breakfast (from a list I gave him of what's SW friendly;)) and then I sort my lunch out from there depending on what we've had.

It's the second good week of Super 6 in Aldi (baby corn, asparagus, mange tout and chestnut mushrooms) but wanted to let people know that they had olive oil Frylight at £1.50 on special with a November date. Mysupermarket tells me it's also on offer in Morrisons for anyone with one local to them.

    Hi all

Sorry I haven't been around but DS1 had the most dreadful cold and then I took it and now DS2 and DH have it. Nightmare.

Shala can you pop me down for a 0.5lb loss for last week and a STS for this week as I didn't make it to group this week.

Now I am on the road to recovery I need to get back on it as I have not felt like eating much this past week and what I did fancy was just rubbish food. Typical when you are ill that you feel like eating rubbish instead of the nice healthy stuff which my freezer is packed full of :D

Hugs to those who need it this week and well done to everyone who has lost this week.

Thanks for the good wishes, beanie, kathrynha, Tete and maman. Oh, I had a ‘maybe, day surgeryl procedure done a few years ago, maman. It was a case of, if it was done earlyish am, I’d probably get home but if it was past noon I’d have to stay over. On the day went in for 7.30am. I was the last procedure done at 1.30. I came round about 3 and I nagged and nagged and I suggested that they were very busy and didn’t really need to have me hanging around. A doctor popped in about 5 to see one of the really poorly people and they got him to see me too and I escaped. I went to the football that night! (The Bairns were playing Partick Thistle in Glasgow – and they won!)

That’s some dent in your budget, Mrs_R! I find SW pricey too. I have switched to Lidl for most of my stuff now, and try to pick up the special offer meat/fish and fruit and veg. I go on way home on Monday and Thursday ams after I drop DGS at school. There are no shops in my village, and the nearest town only has a small Coop and Lidl. I’m rarely shopping when YS bargains are available. I pay about £70 for DH and I plus a family (7-9) dinner once a week. I do cook just about everything from scratch, but I will do big amounts in slow cooker and freeze some for later. I only buy yogurts when they are down to about £1 a pack.

I don’t mind Quark. To me, it’s not much different to Philly! I wouldn’t have it as a replacement for something sweet as it is a type of cheese and I couldn’t get my brain to accept that! I love Skyr for sweet stuff (and it’s cheaper in Lidl).

    Hello, pixtotts.

Well done, chocolateteddy, Tete, Maisie and beanie (delighted).

Glad you are starting to come back to your own self, kathrynha. I hope you won’t need the pain killers for too long.

Frylight is £1.50 in Iceland I discovered last week.

  • I only have 6.5 syns to last me til Monday. Aghhhh!!!

That mid week restaurant meal really blew my syns budget. I wonder if it's possible to go over your syns and still lose weight??

This weekend will be tough plus its so cold so all I want to do is eat!

Well done BEANIE, you must be really pleased.

    Good wishes to everyone x
