A bad day and a great day here.
Set out at 7.40 to take DiL to hospital south of Glasgow for 9.50 am. Consultant running 50 mins late! Then she had to go for mammogram (twice – wanted another view) and then ultrasound, then back again to see consultant. Outcome – no worries, woo hoo. By this time it was past one o’clock so we had sandwiches (and a muffin) there. Then we set off again to hospital on North side of city because I had my annual check up (I had a mastectomy 7 years ago – I’m part of a study group, hence still getting annual check ups) at 2.45. My consultant was running 35 mins late. Again all clear – woo hoo. We had a quick cup of tea and a ginger biscuit and set off home. DiL and I live in different towns, so by the time I got home it was past 6 o’clock, tired but very happy. What a great NHS we have! Then DH made burgers (huge ones from M&S) with gherkins and Brie – on a wholemeal roll. So it was a bad SW day but a fantastic day in the grand scheme of things. Hope your outcome is as good as ours were, kathrynha.
Thanks for the soup recipe, TG. I’ll have a go at that, but I probably won’t blend it – I love barley!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
I have already raised my target.
Will ponder further.
My mum has a inbetween big birthday next week out for that.
Have a lovely time Maman.

Happy anniversary to you and Mr L when it comes lois . I think you can be excused going off plan next week. Just try and be as good as you can in between.:)
I don't know the level that SW need for working out syns. All you need for the syns calculator is online and on the packaging plus very detailed ingredients. While I enjoyed the curry I won't lose sleep if they're withdrawn. I was quite pleased with the curry I made at the weekend and I've got a portion of sauce left in the freezer.
Glad you're home safe and sound kathryna . I had a procedure a few years back which was meant to be day surgery but they kept me in. I was so distressed and really angry. I was fit enough but because it was a Saturday the relevant doctor had gone home so they wouldn't discharge me. When he turned up the following morning he just said 'Are you OK?' and that was it. The food was disgusting so I sent DH to the shop for crisps!:D
We had a lovely dinner. I did a mini roast with sausages and red onion wedges and SW roasties plus loads of Speed veg. Yum! Yum!:D0 -

Glad you've had good news today Greentiger
I should find out next week.
Maman, they had told me to take stuff just in case I needed to stay in, but because it was an early appointment I shouldnt need to, but then it wouldn't stop bleeding and I was feeling rather ikky, so they were concerned, but then after an extra 2 hours there they decided I was okay.
Really couldn't bear to be in for anymore meals. I would of been sending out for takeaway.
Our NHS is really quite good when it comes to stuff like this. Really not had to wait long for any appointments or tests.
Well done AliT on your first stoneZebras rock0 -
I'm quite defiant on this- end of the day I'm on benefits and I can't afford to waste food so I'm just going to eat what I have and if SW don't like it tough! I'm already finding SW is costing me dear- OH and I did a shop at the weekend (£93 for him and I) and I had a Tesco delivery today which was £44 and that's just to take me until Saturday!! By midweek I'm having to top up on fruit and stuff for meals- SW said the emphasis was on cooking from scratch but for me something is going to give soon- I can't afford to keep spending £50 extra a week on food
problem is I think the powers that be at SW with everything they insist on think their members are all millionaires!

It is hard with all the extra fruit and veg you need to buy.
I try and buy unbranded stuff, and do most of my shopping at Aldi.
For some veg frozen is a lot cheaper, and it's fine if you are adding it to stuff.
And stuff like Alpen light bars, I won't pay more than a pound a box.Zebras rock0
