What about just trying to maintain for a while Beanie? Making no decision about target for now but just maintaining for a while and see how you feel ?

Absolutely the same as I was going to suggest. It may be that your body is happy where it is. I think you have to listen to your body and do what is right for you. The number on the scales is just that - a number - and it doesn't really mean anything. If you feel happy with where you are that is all that matters.

My consultant has pasted a copy of a letter on our Facebook group saying that Asda are being sued because of the use of the words like syns, Free etc as has been said above. Apparently since the meals were launched SW have been trying to get the key information about the products used in them in order to be able to give "us" (the members) a proper syn value for them but Asda haven't given it to them so they won't be giving a syn value for them.

Another Green day for me today (DH won't be happy - was moaning again about no meat, LOL!)

B - frozen fruit (melon, strawberries & grapes); FF greek yoghurt
L - LO homity pie - was OK but nothing to write home about!
    D - mixed bean goulash
    S - toast & butter

HEA1 - 1% milk in tea throughout the day
HEA2 - almond milk - will treat myself to a milky coffee later:D
    HEB1 - bread
    HEB2 - ? probably won't have

    Syns - butter 3 syns

Managed to get on here on my mobile despite the WiFi being naff.
They have done the biopsy, just got to stay flat on my back for 6 hours now.
Feeling rather sore but at least that is one thing out of the way. Won't know the results for a while.

As for what I'm allowed to eat. They called it tomato soup. I doubt it had ever seen a tomato and consistency and flavour of wall paper paste!

Thank you everyone for your support

    Hi again :D
Just coming on here before I start on my uni work- gives me another excuse to procrastinate :D Still laid up on sofa. The bruising does seem to be easing a bit thankfully- I've strapped it up quite firmly with some proper tape so hopefully that will help. I'm going away at the weekend so I'm sincerely hoping I can at least get my Uggs (which are roomy to be fair) on :D I've had my Tesco delivery so I've got enough fresh stuff to get me through the week anyway- also got some Oreo Thins :D I have a feeling I could regret this :D
    Today's menu:
    B: HEXB 2 x HiFi Light, 2 easy peelers, 2 x decaf coffee with HEXA S/S
L: Huge salad with lean ham, Apple, water
Snack: Decaf tea with HEXA S/S, 2 Oreo Thins (3)
Tea: Green Thai curry ready meal, cauliflower couscous. Melon chunks and yoghurt.
Supper: 4 Crackerbreads (4 syns) 2 Laughing Cow Light (3 syns) chicken chunks, Wotsits (4.5)
    Syns: 14.5

    Just read your diary Tete

I enjoyed it, I can relate to some of your thoughts. Although at 37 I am a little ahead of you. Will you update at some stage?

I am tired this afternoon, really looking forward to the weekend. I find 40 hours a week in week just too much.

On Saturday I am going to try one of the other gyms I can get access to with my membership, treat myself to a starbucks Americano afterwards and have a walk about the shops in a different part of town for a change. I fancy a mini splurge on something and a change of scenery. All of this after weigh in of course. Sensing no movement this week though.

We have Chilli for dinner tonight and then I'm aiming to get to the gym for an hour later on.

Good to know the tests are out of the way kathryna. Hope there aren't any syns in wallpaper paste!:rotfl:

I've eaten one of the Asda Slimzone meals (chicken jalfrezi) and I preferred it to the Iceland version. Definitely not so watery and had plenty of chunks of pepper and onion so probably a balanced EE meal in itself. I've not put the ingredients through the calculator but I reckon they would be low if not free. It'll be interesting to see how SW get on suing them. Yes, they have words like Extra Easy and Slimming World on the pack but they make a point of saying they haven't been endorsed.

We have an Indian restaurant near us that is known in the area for being SW friendly (haven't tried it myself) but they just talk about slimming plans and using Frylight on their website. Their reviews are full of Slimming World references though.

Thanks for the soup recipe topgirl. I need to buy in some pearl barley then I'll give it a go.

Sorry to hear about your accident MrsR.:(

You have to decide what's best for you beanie but like kathryna said, a stone isn't massive in the scheme of things. Maybe it's best to do your famous plodding and stick to plan as best you can though otherwise you might gain.:A

Called into Lidl earlier for some cornichons and dishwasher salt. I came out with far more than planned but almost all 30% off including smoked haddock, 5% mince and some chicken.:D

I was going to go to WI tomorrow but now planning to go out with a friend. Only coffee (although she'll probably have cookies) so SW friendly. It's exactly a week since my last meal out but I don't feel slim. I'm sure I'm at the top of the range (sounds good for anything but SW:D) so perhaps another week before WI will be good.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: lentil and veg soup, pear
D: sausages, onion, carrots, broccoli, cauli , potatoes (fancying roasties for a change but may do mash)
    Syns: sausages (2), gravy

I'm home and tucked up in bed. Not allowed out of bed except to go to the bathroom. Relieved they let me home, didn't think they were going to let me at one point.

    Todays food:
Lunch - "tomato" soup, aka wallpaper paste
    Snack - iced coffee
    Dinner - baked beans

Tomorrows plan is to rest in bed most of the day, but I'm allowed to move gently.
    Food plan:
    Breakfast - weetabix
Lunch - chilli and rice - it's leftovers from the other week that has been in the freezer
Dinner - Mum is providing but it will be healthy

    Hi everyone

I read the SW letter on Facebook and it sounds like SW have made a lot of effort to come to an understanding with Asda without any response to requests for nutrition info so I'm not surprised they've decided to take legal action. They're protecting themselves and their members - they can't provide accurate syn info without knowing what goes into them. It's a shame really as it could have been a cheaper alternative to Iceland.

Next week is going to be a challenge to lose weight- DH and I are going to a fine dining restaurant to celebrate our anniversary on Sunday, we're going to a 5 course dinner and dance on Tuesday, going by boat to a market and having menu del dia on Wednesday, and a day trip to Lorca including tapas on Thursday! Thankfully they all involve an element of body magic so that will help to counteract the extra Syns.

Kathryna - take care of yourself, hope everything turns out ok. Not sure how a kitchen can turn tomatoes into wallpaper paste, it doesn't sound appetising in the slightest!

Beanie - I agree with the others who said you should call target now and put your efforts into maintaining.

Like the sound of that soup Top girl, not sure if I can buy pearl barley here so it might have to wait until April when I'll be back in England.

I've been buying a stew pack from the supermarket, it contains carrots, leek, celery, parsnip and turnip. I add onion, lentils, stock and turmeric and make soup - it's not a very tempting colour, but very tasty. I've been adding turmeric to loads of things since hearing of its healing properties, in fact I need another jar!

I'm just watching Trust me I'm a doctor, they're discussing whether it's possible to increase your metabolism, which should be interesting.

    Good night.

  • Hi,

Rest up KATHRYNHA, let others look after you.

Hope the weekend comes quickly for you LANTANNA, sounds like you need a rest, so take it easy.

MAMAN, wish I had a local SW-friendly curry house!

I went out for dinner last night, I had the healthiest option but it still escalated the syns to a horrendous total. I have hardly any left for the rest of the week. I really want another loss so will have to be super good!

It certainly does seem to be harder to lose weight the second time around. I've been doing this for two weeks and have lost 4 lbs. I checked in my old SW book and in the same time frame I lost 8lbs. This was 6 years ago so my age is not helping me! I'm just going to keep plodding along and hope for steady losses even though they might be lesser amounts. It's all going in the right direction right??!!

This thread really helps so thank you one and all x
