Tomorrow is getting closer, and got weigh in tonight. Not sure if I should go, but it will be interesting to see what I am pre-op and post-op. Wont stay to group though.
Todays plan. Not quite sure why I keep planning when I don't eat what I plan, but I try:
Breakfast - overnight oats
Lunch - Chicken salad
Dinner - Jacket potato
Snacks - apple (that is exactly the same apple that has been on my desk nearly 2 weeks!), melon, strawberry, grapes
HA - milk
HB - oats
Tomorrows plan:
Breakfast - not allowed any
Lunch - not sure if I'll be allowed to eat, but if I can it won't be nice tasty food. Hospital gruel!
Dinner - hoping I'll be home. If I feel up to eating hubby will be cooking, so either beans on toast or cheese on toast. Not on plan, but it's foodZebras rock0 -
Hugs Kathryn, thinking of you and keeping everything crossed x
Well done everyone! Keep going, we can do this!
Our cupboards were bare yesterday so by the time our shopping was delivered I just wanted to eat......a lot..... Still within my weekly syns but only have a handful to last me through to Friday.
I can empathise with those who only have small losses, same here usually with lots of sts in between.
Also hoping to be 'beach ready' by Summer for our holibobs!
Today's plan:
B- weetabix with banana and raspberries
L- hm soup, pear and plum
D - J Potato with ham, beans, salad.
Maybe a rice cake for syns.
Have a good day x0 -
Wow I've only been away from the thread a day and it's been all go! Some brilliant losses being posted - no SOTW for me again then!
TIE - Good luck today and tomorrow - just keep doing your usual brilliant job xx
Kathryn - Thinking of you, do keep posting as we're all rooting for you here. And congratulations for SOTW
Mrs Ryan - don't give up! A loss is a loss. Imagine in ten weeks' time if you've 'only' lost 5lbs rather than the 10 you wanted - won't that feel better than having given up and gained 5lbs?
I didn't post yesterday but there was very little opportunity for overeating as I was so busy, finished on 8.5 Syns.
Today:
B - Weetabix and satsuma (not together)
D - Leftover Austrian Hash (I'd forgotten how tasty it is!) with a soft boiled egg.
T - Diet Cola chicken with brown rice
HEA - Milk
HEB - Weetabix
Syns - Mainly sugar as usual
Just been having a look at my diary and as it's my birthday at the weekend I have a few things coming up to factor in. Day out in York tomorrow with a friend which will mean lunch out, Sunday Dinner out with Gran on the day, then next weekend I'm going for afternoon tea and a meal out and drinks with a friend. I'm only 2lbs off my challenge target and have never achieved it before so really need to stay focused on the inbetween days. It's the eternal struggle isn't it of wanting to enjoy a meal out but not go too far off track. Unfortunately the things I enjoy tend to have a lot of cheese on them! Hi Everyone,
Please can I join in. Over the last 5 years, i have put a lot of weight on and on the 31st Dec (yes New Years Eve was probably not the best time to start) I joined slimming world. 5 weeks on I have lost 13lb and really hoping to get my first stone next Saturday.
I have read this thread from start to finish and love how friendly and motivational everyone is.
I am really enjoying the plan and love cooking, so have been trying out lots of SW friendly new recipes, that the whole family are enjoying.
Good luck to everyone with a weigh in today.Well Behaved women seldom make history

We are serial dieters Mrs Ryan, I am in the same boat. Our bodies our just used to it and our possibly confused. We are both now without our gall bladders this time and that brings up other thoughts and theories about why weightloss is more difficult. People do say it gets harder and harder to shake the weight each time you "diet" anyway.
Metabolisms and fat cells are funny things. For some it seems to be harder than others. It wasn't that hard for me when I lost 6 stone in a year but it was always hard before that to lose and here we are its hard again. I just have to work with it and try.
I'm the same in my group - I get sneered at nearly for my small losses. I've not told her I lost almost 7 stone with SW before - I'm not going down that road with her.........
The scenic route does have its advantages, for one you are perhaps more appreciative when you get a loss and its maybe more sustainable to keep it off in the long run.
Keep at it, I am, I'll not give up. One thing is for sure, lets try and get it off and not go so far away from our targets again no matter what life throws at us. I always believe there is a lesson and something to learn in everything. I know this time when I get back to target I'll appreciate it a damn sight more and won't be constantly picking faults in myself like I was before and still treating myself like I was overweight.
Interesting article in the daily mail this morning about people who have lost massive amounts of weight back. One of them is was a Slimming World Woman of the Year once (national). There is a programme on Channel 4 on the 14th of Feb that might be worth a watch for those who aren't too busy with their Valentine! lol0 -

Thanks for these guys!
Shala - I think its the lack of exercise is dragging me down. Will go tonight for sure - just hard when you faced with getting back to cook an evening meal for everybody but I do need to think of myself too now that mum is a bit better.
Hopefully the endorphins will start flowing again and I'll feel back to my normal self soon.
Put my makeup on this morning for the first time in about 10 days - literally forced myself but it always makes me feel better when I've it done.
Had a little binge last night on 3 bags of 5 syn max crisps. Its done and over with. I'm pleased with myself for not hitting the Chinese and wine during the week which is normally what I would do in these situations hence putting on another half stone while I'm at it. That's when I really went off the rails last year with the weight gain when my Aunt was seriously ill. As I said in my previous post there are lessons to be learnt in everything!
Tete - Your idea of a treat sounds very similar to mine. I could live quite happily on only cheese and wine if I had too lol.0 -
morning all and massive hugs to those not feeling great.

Well done on all the losses everyone! I'm another serial dieter here - I keep going up and down like a yo yo. Fortunately it's the same 7lbs over and over again, not stones and stones but still, it can be quite disheartening. I'm also a secret slimming-worlder: my husband knows I'm following the plan but not the rest of his family who are evangelical about it. His sister has lost 11.5 stone in 18 months and her husband has lost 5 stone. I'm really proud of them but at the same time, it's all they seem to talk about and if I'd told them I follow the plan too, I hate to think what they'd be like. It's the reason I don't go to group, as I just want to be left alone to go through things at my own pace and get support from strangers on the internet!
Today's plan:
B - porridge (HEB and 1/2 HEA), banana, golden syrup (2 syns)
L - ? Was going to be a jacket potato but might have to be a salad from m&s
D - LO veggie chilli, rice and salad
S - Alpen light (3 syns), clementines, pear

T - Porky lights (1.5), mashed potatoes, vegetables
HEXA - milk in tea
