I was in Tesco earlier and the whole tomato section was completely bare! Iceberg lettuce I don't even like, and courgettes I can cope with, but I do like my cherry toms! Please tell me mushrooms aren't in any danger because I honestly don't know what I'll eat for speed otherwise :o

Your mushrooms should be safe - I used to live near a mushroom producer (in the uk) and they worked all year round.

Strange about tomatoes though, I thought we imported a lot of them from the Netherlands. They are grown here but in greenhouses and I didn't think they were affected by the bad weather like salad crops that are grown in open fields.

This will make you laugh - we had a year's worth of rain in 3 days in December and snow in January but I drove past a field with sprinklers on today... :rotfl:

Your prosecco is 5 syns which seems an awful lot for such a small glass. :(
Some granola is a HEB, depends on brand otherwise it's 5 or 6 syns for 25g.

Thanks maman :) Neither of those are very good  No more Prosecco for me! Think I'll give the granola to my mother. It weighs heavy so I'd get very little for 25g. Back to the porridge for me!

What about other things for breakfast or other cereals?
I only have cereal or porage a couple of times each week. Other days I have eggs or beans or similar. There are heaps of HEB cereals including some granolas. I like Puffed Wheat as you get loads.:)

    Great loss zeni :T

Mushrooms should be fine, they don't need weather. Mushrooms are grown in the well known management style....'fed a load of bulls*it and kept in the dark'!:rotfl:

I agree with Maman, puffed wheat is a good cereal if you like a bowl full. It is so light you get tonnes.

    Today's plan for me:
    Breakfast - yogurt
    Lunch - jacket potato
    Dinner - Roast chicken

    HA - milk
HB - bread in stuffing and bread sauce

Probably won't eat much, but cooking it keeps me busy, and the family will enjoy it.

According to the app, 'Naked Noodle Chinese Chow Mein Noodles, 78g pot' which is definitely what I had- 1 syn. It's 4 syns for the Chow Mein flavour stir fry noodles which is what you use in a stir fry. Just looked them up and they're totally different from the pots. And your duck ones are actually only 1 syn! I had some the other day and they're really nice. Unless it actually is the stir fry noodles you've been buying and not the little pot noodle style ones I think you've been getting them mixed up.
    :)

Thanks for clearing that up. We were shown them in class and told to avoid the chow mein ones as they are 4 syns but the others are less. Great news though as im eating less syns than i thought lol

  • Good morning all,

My WI is tomorrow so I will try really hard today. I need a loss!! I checked my old SW book and in my first week there I lost 5.5 whereas this time I only lost 2. I want to see how this week goes and then I will have a really good look at what I'm doing. Hopefully I'm not doing it incorrectly!

    Wishing you well Kathrynha x

Well done to all the losers, 3 lbs is amazing Wizkid, you must be thrilled. Keep going!

I'm about to have oats with chocolate alpro with carrot and cinnamon. I found a lovely instagram site of the winner of 2017 miss slinky. She posts her recipes and some of them look rather nice. This is one of them, I'll give the verdict later. She halved her body weight in one year. Quite amazing.

Have a good day all x

    Morning all.

Not a good weigh in yesterday - a gain of 3lbs!

Went out for a couple of meals for my birthday last week - I have a water infection though at the moment, felt it in the post for a few days and horrible pain when passing water and not passing much. Been to the docs and he confirmed it - I have a weeks' course of antibiotics, so hopefully should be ok and have a good weight loss when I next weigh which won't be until a week on Saturday.

**With regards to HEB cereals - I have just tried Chocolate Weetabix and it is lush!**

    Have a good week all!
