with it being a Bank Holiday, none of the Bills have gone out on dd so they will disappear tomorrow so that will not be a NSD either.

f0xh0les - I count usual bills that come out of my bank account on dd as a NSD as long as I've not spent anything else that day.

Florence J - hope your finger is ok.

Today was a NSD 2/18. I walked to work and then ran home so pleased with that. I made a wee £5 payment to the debt.

3 things I've grateful for today
    - double time at work again :D
    - OH cooking yummy steak pie for tea
    - for not slipping on the ice while walking to work this morning

NSD #2. Did 3 circuits of the car park in the dark this morning. I have made bacon soup and chilli this morning, put all the remaining sprouts in the soup. One of each in the fridge and the rest in the freezer now. Ate quite a lot of the chilli (one scoop to test it, put more in to take back upstairs with me, then went back twice for more).

Lots of using up. I am now out of onions and only 2 tins of tomatoes in the house but still have a few options. Lots of odds and ends went in the chilli. DS3 came down for the pizza Beloved had made for them (she gave me a slice of hers, DS3 kept saying it was bad for me), so asked him to get the remaining tins down from the top cupboard as ther is loads of space on the understairs shelves now.

Abundant thank you so much for the link, I am very zen and living in the moment just now (was going to say we must be twins but no way am I going back to the gym). Since I did the last shop on the Thursday before Christmas I have considered myself to be 'on holiday'. I am feeling great most of the time because I allowed myself to sleep as much as I wanted/ needed and then have done very little (lots of sewing and reading). I am not stressing or feeling guilty about anything.

It helps that the Town hall was closed all last week and the library only opened for 3 days, so no-one bustling about. Crafts recommences this week but I didn't re-book my counselling appointment so only have to be out briefly on Wednesday and Thursday, easing myself back into things. Stress and lack of guilt might not survive exposure to mum though.

Today I am grateful for seeing Mr Blackbird (scouting for where to put this year's nest) this morning, for having yummy food and for enjoying cooking and taking time over it (did potter out to the bins but wasn't trying to do umpteen other things at the same time).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

No spends today. Was supposed to be going to football, but really wanted to get some things done at home, and not spend anything. Then someone wanted to use my season tickets and gave me £40 for them. Winner!
Today I am grateful for the time to make lots of healthy soup for the freezer, my kids doing the washing up and my hot water bottle for my cold feet.
I made a very small payment towards my credit card. Baby steps

    Evening all,

Still not got round to posting my goals, whoops.

SFD number 1 here today. I did spend but only from the renovations budget. Spent what seemed like half the day queue to get to ik3a but persevered and got the storage unit. It's lovely and I consider it very MSE as I had my eye on a lovely hand crafted one from a different place but it would have been 6 times the price.

Got my 11,000 steps and helped out my parents by doing their food shopping as they both have been ill and need to stay indoors.

    Night all

    Evening

I haven't managed a NSD day yet. Yesterday my friend asked me to pick up something on the way to lunch, today I bought some toiletries and some new slimming world food. Maybe tomorrow will be my chance as I will be at work eating SW food :D

Today (and yesterday) I am grateful for:
Random texts from friends offering dinner ( and lunch yesterday)

My frend's elderly father. He is a mine of information and obscure facts. I dropped him home last night so my friend could have a drink and he did a running commentary of the history of the local area between his daughters house and his house. He is 93 <3

Clothes hangers. They make the wardrobe much tidier!!

    I'll be back again tomorrow.

Forgot to say yesterday I was grateful for finding an electric screwdriver so I could assemble by storage unit, my lovely family and the company of my pets, who keep me from feeling lonely.

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday.

25 NSDs - 02/25 - Yesterday was a NSD as the butchers was shut. Today is the first day of my week off. I have plans to stay in my pjs and play Skyrim all day. So should achive NSD no. 2 as I won't be leaving the house.
Donate to a charity. Will be donating old quilts/towels to local cats & dogs home.
Pay to your debt or savings first. Awaiting fridays wages. Should get my payslip today with my xmas bonuses, so budget it poised.

    January's rules:
    Food budget. Aiming for £120
Things I am grateful for [STRIKE]today[/STRIKE] yesterday:
    1) Tills balanced to the penny in work, which meant I could get away on time!
    2) Holiday started at 5pm!
    3) Delicious pork roast - we even managed to get a decent crackly.
Things I am grateful for today:
    1) Tills balanced to the penny in work, which meant I could get away on time!
    2) Discovered I have paid my Uncle £100 deposit towards our annual get together when I could have paid just £50. I mis-read his email and thought it was £50 each, rather than £50 per couple. So I have less balance to pay at the end of this month.
    3) Videogames :)

    2017 aims:
    1) Lose Weight - 58 lbs to go.
    2) House hunting. Step one - Save!

    Cheap/free family & friends events.
Granma came round for tea last night. Amazing pork roast, but I was annoyed as she always spends her time playing on her phone looking at facebook. Facebook is her only way of keeping in touch with the family, but I wish she would put it down for a couple of hours during visits. Even when we go to hers for tea, she ends up on the phone.
    Rant over :p

f0xh0les - I don't count any bills as spend days, rent & electric etc has to be paid! I use my NSD's to reign in any unnecessary spending. I do count groceries as it's not a set amount and could easily go above budget if not paying attention.

    Hi all.

DD is back to school today, I am taking her and picking her up for the next couple of weeks rather than the bus, not all the schools are back yet so the roads were quiet. DS is back to school tomorrow.

I have some leftover chilli from yesterday so I am going to par boil some sliced potatoes to go on the top then sprinkle on some cheese and bake it in the oven then serve with a salad.

Need to visit mum today (mothernerd like you I will be feeling very guilty after that). Will walk the dog and hopefully run later.
