Hubby has potentially sold two big items, he is dropping them off later, so assuming that goes OK that's another £25:j I found a top to sell this morning and have accepted an offer on an item on eBay, but they've yet to pay, so will not count it until then. Oh, and some virtual decluttering by unsubscribing from various email lists.0 -
Made 18 buns, put mostly plain flour in but used up a tiny amount of self raising to get rid of that
Found 2 bottles of food colouring and a tub of mini marshmallows that were way out of date so binned them.
The part of our cupboard with the home baking stuff in looks a lot emptier(and tidier) now
Going to make some more buns later when mum gets home from seeing her friend, and make some icing to use up the rest of the butter and and icing sugar to top the best buns with a little icing
Also going to sort out the warzone that is our airing cupboard when mum gets home :rotfl:0 -
Gosh, there has been some great decluttering going on around here lately :j :T.
I worked for a couple of hours this morning, and had planned to declutter a bit this afgernoon, though didn't have any real plan. With 4 kids at home,I didn't want to get too entrenched with anything too deep. But I did blitz my kitchen, just to keep ontop of it.
Then I thought I would settle down to declutter papers:mail,kid's drawings,kid's certificates,etc.
So I did about 20 minutes of that, with 10yo dd helping me identify who drew some drawings, and when (so I can have an accurate record .I try to label artwork when it is done, but sometimes it sort of mounts up before I get to look at it.).Thinking I was on a roll, said daughter then asked me if I would play with her. What could I say?So that was the end of decluttering for the day.
Still going to count it in my tally,so up to 264 .SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Think of it that you didn't let your clutter get in the way of what's really important.
GinMonster & KitktMum- thanks for your kind words - now I've stopped wobbling about the reduced financial buffer I feel really good about itShifting my energy for 20200 -
Never got round to sorting out the airing cupboard as mum didn't get back until a bit later and then we ordered in Chinese for dinner.
I did however use up an ancient half used box of matches on lighting my various candles, and I was trying to use up the candles themselves.
I now have one part burned candle left(raspberry and vanilla scented - amazing!) and a basically brand new pack of 3 reach lighters to use to light candles with0 -
I have now been encumbered with the task of decrapifying the desktop computer that I have listed for sale as someone is interested in buying it
I will get rid of all the digital clutter on it first then I can switch it off for the last time and give it a physical clean and go about unplugging and making sure all leads etc. are there0 -
Just met a lady who bought one of the tops I was selling.
1 top less off but £2 better off.
It's a start0 -
Made a few more buns and finally made the icing but only butterfly'd the best buns with the icing
My boyfriend 'serviced' the hoover and then mum hoovered throughout upstairs, then downstairs and we've opened some windows to let some cool crisp air in to circulate and air out the place0 -

Yes,this is exactly right. It feeels good to be able to say "yes",without worrying about the fact the house is getting ontop of you.In t he past I have hated interruptions like this-just want a long run at cleaning, decluttering. It feesl good to be able to see that the house is coming together, and I am now relaxed enough to be able to stop, play, talk to kids, without worrying about the house.Of course, still lots of "hidden messes",but getting there.
I got a bit more done today.Have made a few little messes around the house as I go(pile at front door for recycling, little messes in front room where I was tackling that infernal mountain of boxes I have been working on for months, etc)but I will tidy these up when I finish writing this.I also sorted out a couple of boxes of "stuff" from son's room, which I had cleared out last weekend.
So,out today:
Binned:
265:old tennis ball
266:bag of poppers
267:small tile puzzle
268:junk necklace from kid's tat vending machine
269:spy message kit
Recycled:
270-272:3 plastic inserts from advent calenders. Some years my kids like to melt down chocolate (say, excess easter egg chocolate),and make new advent-shaped chocolates using the inserts. We won't be doing it this year:D
273:sticker activity book
I have also set aside plastic bits for the tip,and some stuff for charity. Will list those when they leave the house.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76
