Bit backwards for me this week as girls were having a sleepover in the week so shoved a few bits in a tub to sort 'later.' However as I was watching TV I actually got them out, shredded, recycled junk mail, threw out bits and put things in their proper home. Normally they would stat there for a good six months. Is this a new me? I hope so.

Need to list a few bits on eBay. I did check the diary to see if I was free for a Car boot and whether forking out for stall money and the time taken would be worth it but not looking good for at least two months and prob just make the same. I just want the stuff out the house TBH so I can move on.
Don’t put it down - put it away!

wished I'd counted stuff now, must be in the hundreds. Anyway more stuff has gone OUT. a pair of trainers a broken camera, loads of plastic bags, and DH has taken a trailer load of stuff to the tip, bits of wood, car oil, broken plastic trays, cloth plant pots ,alsorts of stuff. Should start to look better soon.
  • I've had a bit of a rubbish week. Have hardly done anything and sprained my ankle yesterday which has slowed me down a bit. Did manage to get some items listed for sale today though and hopefully will do a bit more sorting later. My latest eBay purchase cancelled. Apparently she pressed the buy button by accident, which I find fairly strange considering she put in a best offer on it, but never mind!

  • No house decluttering for me today, though as it was a beautiful day here I cleared out the green house and started on the shed. Got a bag and half of plastic rubbish for recycling.
  • Sold an old printer of dads today that had something wrong with it(I made this clear in the sale post) and he had brought a new one already(basically he couldn't be bothered to try and fix the old one!) so that's a little extra cash and a small space in the house gained back :o

I had such big plans for today.Instead I have been running around doing a few bits that I did want to get done, but it was all bitty stuff, combined with driving here there, and everywhere.Haven't had a good run at anything today.
But I will do some stuff after kids go to bed tonight.
One of my distractions today,I have done a seperate thread about if anyone would like to contibute (or advise here),but basically,I have plenty of storage space in my kitchen, but it is not very well organised.I hasve a huge pantry cupboard,a pull-out larger, more than enough cupboard space, but still there is no organisation.Had a look on Pinterest for ideas today-drool :o.Would love some of these

I had a look at John Lewis,Lakeland this afternoon (because they are local to me,not necessarily because I can afford :o).Also looked in B+M.

So,am planning to pull out and revamp kitchen cupboards tomorrow. If anyone could give me hints and tips as to how to organise my wares, that would be much appreciated xx

  • Saver-Upper, not sure if these are quite the same, but we have these things from IKEA which are quite useful, you can buy different sizes and build as high as you like. We put them in the tin/jar packet cupboard. Cheap too :)

  • oh,thatis brilliant,thank you KitKatMum2.
Saw a similar thing in Lakeland today, for £15 .I do love lakeland, but dear,I am careful what I buy there!

I had a little rummage in the loft this morning.I thought I had been going to go to the tip today,so was looking for anything ready to grab to go.Opened a box that kettle had come in,expecting it to be a broken kettle waiting to go to the tip,but it was actually lovely stoneware collection of ornaments: little mice in ahouse, little mouse in a tea cup, mouse in a teapot, mouse reading a book, etc. One of the ornaments was actualy a working clock.I had forgotten I had it,and can't remember who gave it too me,but probably MIL.Haven't seen it for about 10 years, the plastic bag had disintegrated into bits of fluff, basically.
SO that was item number 132 from the loft gone.

Also donated 287-289:3 pairs of shoes from the house
