I couldn't sleep last night so sat up watching lots of random decluttering videos on Youtube and I'm feeling quite inspired now.
Time is a big issue for me, I would love to know the trick to getting stuff done with toddlers around - other mums seem to manage it, but no-one has shared the secret with me! I am still pleased with my progress and I've noticed that I am becoming a bit more ruthless with what I'm getting rid of - I'm not quite at the minimalist stage yet though!0 -
238-240:sorted out my saucepan cupboard, put three old frypans in the boot of the car to go to tip, hopefully end of this week.

25 more DVDs listed on eelbay, some more books for charity shop tomorrow, and a load of tip recycling to go tomorrow including dead stereo and microwave.
Unfortunately I have aquired about 8 longlife lightbulbs because the energy efficiency people came and replaced all my own light bulbs with super-duper ones.''A moment's thinking is an hour in words.'' -Thomas Hood0 -
For a couple of days I have had a bee in my bonnet about getting rid of books. Now,I don't own alot of books (enough to fill 2 bookshelves, plus about 10 in a pile by my bedside),but I haven't touched some of them for years. So while I had an unexpected afternoon off,I thought I would start sorting thru them, and seee if any are worth sending to Music Magpie. One book was worth £3,most weren't being bought, any time I was offered money for them,it was usually 20-30p.
So I have set a pile aside to consider sending to MM,and added others straight to the charity bag.
Donated to the charity shop this afternoon:
241-250:paperback books
251:plastic container from toy set
252-253:tiny flower pots
254:make-a-dinosaur kit
255:card and envelope set
256:kid's hair cover for in bath
257:hair clip
258:pencil case
259:brand new packet of socks
260-261:vases
262:kid's jumper
263:kid's t-shirt
Not actually decluttering, but today I did also clear out and clean the fridge.Gosh, stuff does get hidden in there, sometimes.

I've realised at the moment I am mostly getting rid of little things - the beauty samples for example. Although I have thrown out loads of the things, they are tiny and take very little space so it looks like I have made no progress, which is getting me down a bit.
Hopefully I have a lady coming to buy one of the kids toys tomorrow - let's see if this one actually bothers to turn up! I have also listed quite a lot of bits and pieces on eBay, but have five huge bags still to sort/list. I would love feel more able to just donate everything, but our financial situation is so rubbish right now I kind of feel I should at least try to make some money from it. I'm sure I'd be getting through things quicker otherwise, as the problem with selling is that it is so slow0 -
Hello... I'm new to this but I have TOO much stuff... I need to be here... lol.
I live with my parents, so I'm living from one room, and I'm an artist, and I feel like I'm drowning in stuff, and boxes of everything bunged in to get them out of the way
We're also emptying my grandmas house, she died 2 years ago, and some relatives are going to move in there. My gran was also a collector of stuff! So many things are being added to my stuff because "oh you have book case of awesome things heres great grandmas writing slope to keep with yours"you get the idea...
so I'm going to start now and go grab a bag for burning rubbishx
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -
