    499) blouse
    500) jeans

Both too big, put in charity bin at supermarket.

Nearly a quarter of the way there!

    501) slippers
    502) door mat

Both were well used and were binned after I stepped in 🐈 poo :T

    503-505) jeans
    506) footsies

All brand new and still had labels on. Two pairs of jeans too big and one too small and all in styles I would no longer wear. Visited someone on the way to the charity shop who had a jumper they no longer wanted so I took that to the shop with my donation.
3 stone down, 3 more to go
  • We went up to mums yesterday for roast dinner.

I was helping her sort out some stuff while we were there.

2 bin bags of clothes, shoes, bags etc from all of us that we no longer want to go to the charity shop. 3 carrier bags of various leads, wires and other tech accessories my dad no longer wants to go to the tip.

My partner has a car again now so he is going back up there today to actually perform the charity shop and tip run and to also clear out the sheds and take anything from there to the tip also.

It's something we should have helped mum do long before we moved out, months ago. But at least it's getting done now :o

Anyone heard of Swedish Death Cleaning? Me neither, but apparently you should try to start decluttering your house for your death when you reach 50 :eek:

I'm not 50 yet but it does make you think. When my Nan went into a home my Mum had to clear out her 2-bed flat. She had so much stuff!! Really great pieces of furniture, loads of knick knacks, etc. She also had a few handbags in the wardrobe stuffed with 1000's of £££ My Mum said she was glad she did it before my Nan died as it was hard enough when she was alive.

I sometimes think "what would happen to my belongings if I die?" Very morbid of me :p

Link if anyone is interested in reading about SDC!!
