I had a very slow start to the month but a good day today...

So far this month I've picked up the following:
    £25 swagbucks
    £104 eBay
£40 refund vouchers (Waterstones & accessorise)
£24 refund from Vodafone for a mistake
£10 John Lewis vouchers (credit card rewards)
£15 cex for my old Fitbit

    So total so far: £218

I switched bank accounts last month so should be getting £100 credit soon. I can't believe I might actually make this goal! When I started I really didn't think I would! So exciting...

Well done, Allotrope, that's a brilliant start to your Make £10 a Day life:T:beer:. Trust me, it is a way of life once you get hooked, it's seriously addictive;)

Just a thought on the refund vouchers from Waterstones and Accessorise that you mentioned. The 'refund' situation is something that's puzzled me too so I hope you don't mind me asking Aesop and Lynne what they think about counting them. If the refunds were just for things we buy and take back it's just our own money we are getting replaced so it's not 'making money' as such. I've never counted straight refunds of my own money and wonder whether I should start doing so. Not that I buy much anyway these days so I don't get many refunds;)

I think include them CBC as puts you in a better position than before the refund. and include your £5 a week saving on tabletop.

£1 fee when you sell no listing fees 1 day offer only
  • Also the refunds were unwanted gifts, so although I didn't pay for them initially, I did only get vouchers back. I'm currently storing them for when I need to buy more pressies for people.

After my mad eBay success yesterday (I took a garmin Watch to Cex and they offered me £36, which I decided was too low. So I listed it on eBay auction price £36, with a mad buy it now price of £100. Then it went on BIN, couldn't believe it!)

Anyway I've now gone listing crazy! But I don't have anything worth as much as that left so I think my excitement will soon fade.

Also, as soon as I get money it seems to vanish! That £100 has already been put towards my broadband bill (paying a year of landline upfront to get a 15% discount). I feel I never get to see any money!

well done! and even though currently you aren't seeing the extra money by paying upfront for broadband to get 15% discount you will see the money later in the year.

I have not been posting much as hubby has been at home and he doesn't stop talking and following me around.

I will try to catch up with more posts on things you can do to.earn extra money. loads of stuff out there.

I never find roadkill! Where's the best place to look?

I'm sitting on 11800 / 12000 points on the survey mini app... but the surveys hardly ever happen any more :( Id like to cash them in by the end of the month but not sure that'll be possible, any tips?

I'm usually lucky finding odd coins just under the payment machines in car parks:j. I sometimes find £1 coins left in supermarket trollies abandoned in the car park during sudden downpours. I don't make a habit of haunting supermarket car parks:o but have occasionally been sitting in my car when people are unloading their shopping into their cars and can't be bothered getting any more soaked taking their trolley back to the bay. They just leave it abandoned and that's when I pounce:o. Worth getting wet for £1;)

Just look on the ground anywhere that people are likely to be rummaging for small change. You'll be surprised what you find. Corner shops/sweetshops after the kids have been in after school are another good bet. They used to say metal detectorists (not that people on here take a metal detector when searching for roadkill:rotfl:) did really well on the beaches after the holiday makers had gone

OH occasionally finds £5 or £10 notes after very windy weather when he's out for walks. They tend to end up at the foot of bushes/walls. He doesn't consciously go out searching but has more success than me purely by accident:(

Well, sorry for the radio silence this end, but after a week with each of us getting some vile, 24hr, stomach bug in turn, I have at least been able to add another £33.81 to my bay sale total. Taking me to £229.67. So not grumbling.

In the next 7 minutes, I am hoping to save about £60 on an electric toothbrush I was going to buy us, by getting it on eBay. Its pricey, but will be used by both OH and me (and kids probably), rather than having two. Not sure If I'm allowed to count that. We would definitely be buying it anyway, and cheapest elsewhere is approx £120!! Hoping I can nab this unwanted one for half that. Fingers crossed.....
