As for your DH being so tidy, I had to smile. Not because he's trying to reorganise the rest of the family's lifestyle against their wishes:eek:, but because he's just the opposite of my OH. Every room OH goes into ends up like a hurricane's hit it with stuff everywhere. He seems to spend so much time tidying up his belongings and then when he wants anything in the future he can't find it and seems to need to drag everything out of cupboards and drawers and just leaves stuff there until his next big 'tidy up'. I blame his Mother;)

I blame DH's mother too lol.

I am too scared to.do car boots on my own as I know a lot of stealing goes on and DH wouldn't come with me. I should look for tabletop sales though. that's a good idea.

I never have anyone with me at car boots either (except a friend and her son just a couple of times in over 20 years of doing them). OH certainly won't come but he expects me to sell his tat alongside my own. The worst bit is setting up in the early mornings, often when it's still dark, as that's when the professional 'dealers' strike and almost climb into the car as people are unloading to get a chance at the best stuff. They don't steal though, just want to pay a knock down price when people are a bit flustered:eek:. I know some stealing goes on but I've had only one personal experience of it. You just have to be vigilant but I suppose at the more rural sales I go to it's not so rife as it might be in town and city locations.

I don't know if it's just me but does anyone else get spooked when company Reps pop up in response to a post you've made to someone on a thread? I don't mean this thread, by the way. I like to think what we talk about on various threads and diaries is pretty private and I know a lot of people find it the only place where they can open up about their problems. Sometimes, on another thread I take part in, we discuss our experiences of a particular company and share little ways we've discovered to get round certain situations;). Not everything we say is complimentary to the company. Then, suddenly a Rep turns up to add to the chat or answer a query that was put to someone else. It unnerves me somehow, as if we're being eavesdropped on all the time:eek:.

    Paranoid, moi?:o

the reps search the forums for their topics ie cashback or eon. so when searching those key words up comes all the threads with those words.

Somebody recently helped me out with some advice re my energy bill. It eventually got sorted by someone Really helpful over the phone. I'm sure the two things were unrelated but I do like to think of the representative standing on a table in the call centre asking if anyone had spoken to a woman whose bill had been hiked to £199 per month and if so to be extra nice as she is bad mouthing us on MSE :D
