I'm watching The Accused on channel 5 - a documentary about a bank worker who is accused of stealing £26k from an elderly customers account. Very interesting watching for me, it's all way too close to home - I still sometimes wish I'd had my moment in courtMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Watching that programme last night probably wasn't the best idea as I went to bed and dreamt about the whole thing all over again
Anyhow. Ds and I have just done a trip to Ikea and I spent £175  This was on the second chair for the conservatory (£55) and new cushions for the other one (£30), 2 bedside drawers for my room (£70) and then a few other bits and pieces. The chairs and drawers were already budgeted for when I moved in, so not as bad as it seemsMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

A couple of bits need to go back to Ikea, so I will do that next week probably. Today I have to pop into town before lunch then ds and I are going to a pre-season friendly tonight although looking at the weather we may get soaked
It looks like most of the day will be spent indoors as it's suppsed to chuck it down all day here, so I need to see if I can get a few bits crossed off the list.
I have just completed the surveys that were sat in my inbox.Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

I remember it well BenBen, and what a terrible time it was for you - how long ago was it now?
I'm so sorry to hear about DS and his "friend". I just don't know what to say. As you may remember, I have been through everything you are going through with my DS. Including all the school stuff / meltdowns / friends. But he's 30 now. Far more stable -(still has some meltdowns) but was medicated at 22 years old and that made a massive difference. In hindsight, I wish I'd done it earlier (maybe as a teenager) but I was so against it. I wish I'd listened to the Psychiatrists and CAMHS professionals. But thought I knew best and that we'd get through it, and that if he was medicated I'd be labelled "one of those mums". Even though DD and DS1 were fine and I knew how to bring up children.
I know a lot of people think it is how these children are brought up:mad:...................yawn :rotfl:0 -
Thanks SouthernGirl, it was about 6 years ago now I think, to be honest I'm not even sure.
Ds has arranged to meet the friend again tomorrow, we've ralked through how to handle it if she cancels again. He has been so much better over the last couple of weeks, whether its because he hasn't got the pressure of school I don't know? We have his Camhs appointment on monday, I will ask about medication then, I personally think it will help him. At the minute we're fairly stable but things change so quickly with him that it doesn't take much at all to flip him outMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

We drove to Yeovil last night to watch Bournemouth in a pre season friendly - game was good but the journey home was horrendous; driving rain, fog, huge puddles of standing water, swirling winds, was glad to get home safely
Today ds is meeting his friend ... I am planning quite a lazy day as I'm tired from last night (and getting up at 6 every morning due to ds paper-round).Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Pfft, why is it each time I do a job and come back here to cross it off my list I realise I forgot to put it on the list in the first place
Anyway, trip to the bank is done and cheques are paid in, and I have booked ds flight sim experience and started planning painting my bedroom while ds is at his Dads.

The binmen came today, so 3 out of the 4 bins (alll the recycling ones) have been bleached and are clean. The fourth one (non recycling rubbish) will be done next thursday once they've emptied it.
I've also positioned my new hedgehog house that my brother gave me for my birthday. I've put it under a tree / bush where I saw one before. I put a paving slab under it as google says otherwise rats can dig underneath and get in when they're hibernatingHopefully I'll get a hog who wants to live in it over the winter.
