Yep, they met up, I am wondering if he's meeting her again today ...
It has let in a bit more light, my lounge is naturally quite dark anyway, but it will help. It will also mean I can get on / off the drive without worrying about hitting someone each timeMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Hedge is all done, it looks a million times better
My lovely lovely neighbour came round and tried to give me some money in an envelope towards it as he is so pleased it's gone too
I thanked him but didn't take it, his other half works at a local garden centre so is going to help out with discount on new plants to go there instead

So ds finally tidied his bedroom (and filled the washing basket in the process). He then had a shower and went to get dressed - only to realise he only has one pair of trackies that fit him and one pair of shorts. He has grown loads recently, so we ended up going shopping and have bought him a pair of jeans. He then decided he wasn't in the mood for anymore shopping
(to be fair, saturday afternoon shopping isn't my thing either), anyway, I now know what size he needs so may mooch online and top up his wardrobe a bit, he needs t-shirts too.
Now that he's in adult sizes it suddenly gets a lot more expensive doesn't it :eek:Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

I feel your pain no longer buying son stuff from kids section where u go buy age now mens department where its waist and leg measurements. My 14yr old has a skinny waist but long legs and size 8 feet. Luckily he isnt all about the brands but does have a sense now of what he likes seems every week theres something new that doesnt fit.
Thats where being savvy helps finding some good deals online
Hope ds has some luck with a little job bravo tho for him and paper round a lot of kids would get bored of the early mornings after a while
Well done on survey payouts i need to get back on this have been lax recently
I might post again if ok enjoy reading your postsJAN WINS- pepsi tshirt,0 -
Glad DS' friend did not let him down again.
My son is now 21 and 6ft 2in with size 10 feet so I am feeling your pain.
When he was younger I used to shop with La Redoute (French catalogue) as they did elasticated waist trousers so we could buy a bigger size to get the length and the waist came in nicely.
Since he was a teenager we have shopped at Burtons, they are one of the only - if not the only place that do mens 26 inch waist with 34" length leg trousers.
I think the jeans are about £30 per pair but they often do offers of 2 for £50 or 3 for £60.
I spend more time shopping for DS than I do myself!!0 -
Ds is quite fussy about brands - more about those that he won't wear rather than those that he does like. Up until now he won't go anywhere near GAP, but was happy to buy jeans from there because they aren't plastered with the logo. He does like Saltrock and is fine with Primark tshirts, although they are so thin and shrink like crazy. He won't wear anything from Next.
Today I have been decorating my room, I have sanded the woodwork (not much of it), sugar soaped the walls, 2 coats of emulsion on the ceiling and walls and have glossed the woodwork. Now time to tidy up a bit and then a bit later I can start putting it all back to normal
It's not the best decorating ever (I am far too impatientand not very accurate) but at least it's freshened it up a bit. I will get someone in to do the lounge properly for me as it also includes the stairs and landing and I can't do the high stretchy bits
While ds is at his dads I might slap a bit of white paint on his walls too, there isn't much visible wall space in his room (built in wardrobes etc) but it is a bit grubby.Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

I've ironed my clean bedding and made the bed again, then ironed the curtains and put them back. I've moved the first of my new bedside drawers upstairs (still need to assemble the 2nd one), cleared the rest of the ironing pile, made dinner (sausage and mash), cleared up all the painting stuff ... and *still* I can't cross anymore off my to do listMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Today ds is meeting his friend ... I am planning quite a lazy day as I'm tired from last night (and getting up at 6 every morning due to ds paper-round).
Oh, you're kidding, I'd have treated you to a coffee as well. What makes it worse.. I was even sat in your stand, right on the halfway line.0
