Not much else has been achieved today unfortunately, I've had a bit of a 4-in-a-bed (my new guilty pleasure) watching session :o:o

Ds and I have taken his bike in for a service (£40 ) but that does include a new tyre too. I have also taken a carload of cardboard and rubbish to the tip.

Ds is at the fair again at the moment, it moves on after today so he wanted to go for one last time this year.

Postie has just been and delivered a card with a cheque for £50 in it from ds other nanna. I haven't seen them for several years but she always sends me some money towards his school uniform each summer, that will cover his shoes and a bumper pack of socks :T :T

Pleased to hear your kids grandparents still remember them, ds's grandparents send him some money at xmas and birthdays but always send me a cheque in the summer. It's much appreciated, it's not their fault their son turned out to be such a waste of space at being a father  In fact, dsis going to his house on friday and is hoping he will get a birthday card / present from him (birthday was 2 weeks ago). I have a feeling he may return disappointed as he is still waiting for his xmas present to arrive (ordered from amazon and the never-ending saga of "it got lost on its way from China" has now been going on for 7.5 months ....). The cynical me thinks that daddy never ordered it / cancelled it and spent the money on somethin else a long time ago

£3 withdrawn from quidco and added to the signature :)

Coffee table has been sanded and the legs painted, need to buy some wax for the top of it though. I've also planted a plant I was given for my birthday, dug some of the garden and cleaned the remaining bin and swept and tidied all the bin area :)

We went and collected ds' bike from the shop yesterday, (£81  ), it had a service and needed a new tyre and new brake blocks (?). Anyway, it was more than I was expecting so I will take the money out of the car maintenance fund for that.

He is off to his Dads for the week this afternoon, so I am currently sitting in the conservatory with a cup of tea planning my week ahead :D

I have already put one load of washing on (he's remembered he wants some stuff washed to take with him ;)), loaded the dishwasher, put the recycling out, made the beds, opened all the windows, weighed myself :o:o, and am now just enjoying the early morning sun :)
