Morning, yesterday was a calm day
I got quite a bit of housework done, tesco shopping came and I emailed to complain as I was overcharged on three items - eg. on my email confirmation it said pizza was £1.70 and I was charged £3.60  I'm waiting to hear back from them, no doubt they will say the offers ended overnight but I should be made aware of that when ordering. We'll see
We went to a local model railway exhibition for a couple of hours. I made a gorgeous shepherds pie for dinner and then chilled on the sofa and watched Dirty Dancing
Today I have posted a couple of letters, put a load of washing in and am going to do some weeding in the garden in a bit. It is also payday today so money has been moved across to the savings accountMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

I've just earned a £4 referral credit from a friend who signed up for the Shopmium app. This is an app I use on my phone, basically whenever I'm going near a supermarket I check it, if has either discounts on items or sometimes you can get an item for free. You just have to scan your receipt and send it to them and the money is refunded to you within a couple of days. If anyone fancies using it please use my referral code, ACMUMGUE , and I earn £4 for each person who uses it and you get a free item for joining, I think it's currently a box of Cornettos
I have tended to stockpile my freebies and then we took them with us when we went on the train trip

It's been quite a productive few hours today; tescos have rung and refunded me for the offers I didn't receive - the offers expired 5 days ago so shouldn't have shown up online at all in the first place, glad I checked my receipt
Ds and I have teak-oiled the garden table and chairs, not a very exciting job but another thing crossed off my list. In fact that reminds me, I haven't posted my summer holiday to do list have I? I wrote it when we were on the train trip. For those of you who have been around with me for a while you'll know I do this each summer, particularly being in a new house there are lots of bits and pieces to be doneI'll post it in the next post.
I have also had an early birthday present delivered from my brother - a new doorbellThe one that was here was on the same frequency as the neighbours and kept going off randomly. I unplugged it but kept missing people, so am pleased to have a new one. Ds and I spent a while choosing a new chime from the 52 available - well, I say 52 but actually there were only really about 5 proper ones to choose from, unless you really want Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer as your tune :rotfl::rotfl: That has been fitted too. Then we tackled the new washing line - I bought one a while ago in homebase, then had to go back to get the spike for it - then realised that even that doesn't fit properly as the pole is oblong with rounded edges and all the spikes are round  Anyway, after lots of faff digging holes, trying to get the spike into the ground etc, I have filled in the gaps with soil and gravel and it seems pretty secure for now
If it starts to lean I will get a bit of concrete and secure it properly in the ground.
Right list to follow ....Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Thanks Beanie, hmm, looking at the list now it looks quite scary, although it did feel as though I was ticking bits and pieces off it. The haircuts are already booked in, lots of it I am planning on doing when ds is at his Dads for a week. I've started the computer bits too and quite a few of them involve a bumper shopping tripMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Thank you, 10,000 is a lot of time spent online, although this is the main site I ever visit. I am eternally grateful to this site and the support from everyone on these boards, it's a fab place :T :T
I have been trying to decide for the last few months what to do furniture wise in the conservatory. I had pretty much decided not to go for a sofa as it is restrictive in terms of where to put other furniture. Anyway, last week a friend from work put on facebook that she was getting rid of a poang chair (Ikea), I had been looking at getting a couple of these so agreed to buy it. We went to collect it tonight, it was £10 for the chair and matching footstoolI will probably buy a replacement cover for it when we go to Ikea as it has several stains on it, (it is cream), but this will be about £20 rather than the £95 for a brand new chair / £40 for the footstool. I will probably buy a second one so that I have a pair of them but at least now I will only need to buy one
