We had a great time in our train, back to reality now and we've had a couple of up and down days. Yesterday was ds birthday, he had arranged to go out with his 'friend'. He had bought tickets and has been so excited about it for weeks - and then she text him yesterday morning and said she was going to A&E as she had damaged her foot and couldn't walk. He was gutted. Worse to come though, when she later posted that she was at the local fair with other friends ... he was sobbing, then angry, and even took a kitchen knife up to his room. Luckily I realised quickly what he'd done and went up there - he was sat on his bed, sobbing, just holding the knife. Luckily he hadn't done anything but I can't keep going like this, I didn't eat anything yesterday, I just feel constantly sick with worry
There is no point going back to the gp as they will just say he has a camhs appointment on August 7th so will need to wait for that. I am just on edge the whole time, scared for what he might do.

Benben, I am so sorry you're going through this. I have no experience that could help, but I just wanted to send you hugs.
I know you said it's not worth seeing the GP, but would it be worth phoning them or CAHMS and telling them what's happened and that the urgency of the situation has increased?
I do hope things look up for you soon

Oh Benben, so sorry to read about your day yesterday. Poor DS, I really feel for him reading your post. I hope the CAMHS appointment can offer some help on the 7th August

Your holiday sounded really wonderful, but talk about back to earth with a bump! I know what I would like to say to DS's "friend" but I believe in Karma so will leave it there.
I hope things are better today, but you cannot be expected to cope with all of this alone. If you need help urgently before the CAHMS appointment, I would follow the advice suggested by another poster a few weeks ago and take yourselves to A&E. I am sure they have professionals available in such circumstances.
Of course, it goes without saying that I wish both of you well and hope that there are no further incidents. Take care.0 -
Thanks all, yesterday was a fairly good day again. Today we are going to the cinema this afternoon, I'm trying to book things in so he's not just sat in his room all day
Last night I checked the bank accounts (have taken my eye off the ball) and my old car insurance company had taken 2 payments as had my old contents insurance company  Both had been cancelled a couple of months ago when I moved but after lots of emailing / phoning / being on hold forever I have finally got my payments refunded for the car (£66) and am waiting to hear about the insurance (£20) Apparently both had been cancelled but for some reason they automatically renewed when the policy was supposed to have run out  Grr - annoying but hopefully all sorted out.
Money has been moved around for the end of month banking, I have a couple of cheques to pay in and some bits and pieces to sort out, but overall it's back in order again now.Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Hi Benben
So sorry you are going through this worry. I have tried to message you, but it seems you are a very popular lady and your inbox is full. I will try again later.

We went to the cinema yesterday, all was fine, I dozes through some of it
When we came out ds checked his phone and saw that 'friend' was at the fair again. He didn't even ask if he could go as he knew I'd say no, but he was so agitated and struggled to cope with feeling 'like he was missing out'. When we got home he asked if we could talk it through and basically I think there's a couple of things going on - partly he struggles with emotions generally anyway, and having no friends he is so desperate to have a friend that he can't cope with thinking that she might be with other people etc. Also he isn't sure if he fancies her or not. I think this is the main bit - unfortunately she is already going out with another girl anyway ... but I think that some of the problem is that he has feelings for her and can't cope with them. However I was really pleased that rather than having the usual meltdown he was able to talk it through and remain pretty calm. Let's see what today brings ...
So far I have done the tesco order and done one load of washing. The plan for today is to go to the shops and get the dog a birthday present, (he needs a new ball), start decorating my bedroom and go to Mums for dinner. I also need to do some general housework in there too as it'sa bit grubby at the moment.
Remember the credit card offer I took out a while back? I only need to spend another £700ish to qualify for my free nectar points (£150 worth). All my spending on it has been paid off so far, nothing that I wouldn't have normally bought, eg. I whacked the car insurance on it and then transferred the money from that pot to clear it, but it was another £250 towards the total I need to spend to earn the pointsMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
