1LL I also need to lose weight in the new year! My baby weight plus my Christmas weight! I agree if I stopped buying cakes and sweets this would help me reducing my food bill too! My hubby is a cereal cake and sweet eater so I know it will be hard to do knowing they are in the house but I must try my best! I was at weight watchers before I became pregnant and I got to goal so now I've had the baby I get to go back to weight watchers for 6 months for free which will really help me out and is MSE as its free!Debt free once - Back again | Current debt: £2479.50 - January 2025 | Make £2025 in 2025 #11 - £41/£20250

Evening all
Posting from my phone so a bit brief. Lovely to see all yoir exploits
Went to near-ish seaside town today as OH has a voucher for a men's outfitters there. He didn't see a suit he wanted that fitted tho. Had a cheapish lunch out at a nice cafe.
Bits today-
B/D from stores (except nipped to butcher for chicken as nicer than asda)
New pillows reduced in sale
Few required grocery bits
Gym this morning. Snatches again and did not smash face! Hooray!
Heating on a reasonable temp given the cold!
Was going to nip out tonight but OH not up for it and I think I'm fighting a cold. My head feels a bit achy and full. Will stick to a possible festive Baileys at home instead.
Nothing very exciting but it's all good
have a good evening

Evening all :hello: I'm posting from phone too, and also in the car (not driving!! )
Been visiting family today but still got a few things done:
* did free kettlebells workout this morning
* reached daily sw@gbucks goal and £5 voucher cleared from them too
* got smellies and food presents from mr Cheery's family - always useful and appreciated, and much nicer than we'd buy for ourselves
* family are going away soon so gave us a carrier bag of veg they wouldn't use
* ate so much at lunchtime that we won't need any tea (does that count as MSE?! :rotfl: :rotfl: )
Right, best look out of the windscreen before I start feelig queasy:eek:

Morning all :hello:
Determined amazed at your shopping spends, wish I could get mine down anywhere near that. I'm doing much better now I'm recording it though
Ziggy if you're reading - hope you're ok
My Friday mainly looks like this:
Going to the theatre with the smalls, tickets already paid for as part of their Christmas present. Will treat them to lunch there as they have a lovely cafe. Will take in snack for theatre with me.
Go to mr s later armed wth shopping list and some vouchers. Double check myc0upons before hand to see if they are up to date
Washing on radiators
Last of presents away
Vacuum round - still not done lounge - keep spying Lego pieces
Porridge for brekkie for everyone, made with semi skimmed milk so I can do half water
Go for a run, will likely go to the gym (but use membership) as it's too cold at moment for me to run outside (I know that sounds like a cop out but I've been here the last two years and run outside when it's frosty and it always gets my chest, not worth the risk)
Looked last night for a race to enter in 2017looking at local and not huge ones as they tend to have much cheaper entrance fees.
Look for cake to make for Sunday, hopefully one with pears to use the last couple I have, ideally something out of use up box too
Right off for brekkie. PF.0 -
Morning chilly campers,
Icy world outside this morning but we're going nowhere as I have flu. I don't feel quite as vile as I did yesterday so hopefully I will pick up & normal DFW behaviour will be resumed.

get well soon foxgloves!
Hard to believe I've been up nearly 2 hours! Planning to go out for lunch with an old friend today. We have chosen a lovely little independent indie cafe to go to so shouldn't be too costly! Think I will ride my bike into town - it's about 5 miles away - so I can have a drink and also get some exercisethere's a cycle way from our village to the town so should be easy
going to go a bit earlier and check out the sale in debenhams as have £25 vouchers from cashback cc. Hoping to get a bra and a pair of pjs (I love pjs and always ask people of get me them for gifts, but never get ones I love so decided to give up asking for them and instead get them myself!)
In other news - no other spends than the planned spends above!
Load of washing and hang up
All meals (other than my lunch) from stores. check meal plan and get something out of freezer just checked plan and nothing needed from freezer check through fridge to make sure nothing perishes
Have fruit smoothie for breakfast to use up bananas and yogurt
games afternoon with madam and oh and probably a film in the early evening
read the darn email about switching energy providers
put xmas things and things bought for next winter up in the loft. Also put freezer back in the garage
that'll do! Happy Friday guys :ADF as at 30/12/16

PF it's only because I have so much in at the moment and it just means over the last 2 months my gc balances out at our monthly budget.
Exciting to think in 3 short months we will be £150 better off as we'll have paid back oh's ma :j things won't be so much of a tight rope as they have been and we'll have a little more wiggle room :TDF as at 30/12/16

Morning all :coffee:
Another cold one this morning - brrrr. I'm also still the only one awake at 10am and really hoping that both kids have a lie in this morning because ds has been hard work the past couple of days as he's not sleeping well...
It's the last 'proper' day of my holidays as well - back to work on Tuesday (boo hiss). No major plans - I am tutoring later today but other than that, nothing really. I have started a new crochet project for a friend who is expecting a baby soon so I'll do some work on that. I've written my daily list and things are very samey but just how I like it.
Checked banking and done a PAD to savings
Daily housework jobs - hoover, washing, washing up
Crochet and relax a bit
Tutoring later
Get dd some new bras - hopefully from the sale
Go to Icyland to use the £5 they loaded onto my bonus card as a Christmas present
See about starting to take the Christmas decorations down
Get friend's dh (who is a gas man) to look at my dodgy heating controller
Think that's it - have a good day everyone! Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Morning all
Foxgloves, Katy_ann and anyone else who is under the weather, I hope you feel better soon
Had an early night and feel a bit better. Still feel tired though but think it's still from bumping my head. The info that the hospital gave me said that you can feel a bit off for a couple of weeks!
Not much planned today. Might go a for a walk later as it's a lovely crispy day again (although def warmer than yesterday as the frost on the car has melted already)
The plan:- B/L/D from stores.
- Make bread to go with tea
- Gym at lunchtime
- Big budget with OH as technically it's payday. I was paid early but moved it straight out of my account :A - done
- Marzipan the Christmas cakes (better late than never) :rotfl: - done. Nomming left over marzipan
- Tidy round etc
have a good one all

Poor you Foxgloves. Im still recovering from mine. Started Boxing Day in earnest, spent the following day in bed unable to move with high temps and chills, worst I've felt in years. Still hacking away now, but managed since yesterday morning with no cold meds. It's rotten being ill at Xmas." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
