Afternoon everyone! I've managed to catch some kind of lurgy!
I've got an awful hacking cough and I can feel the start of a cold coming! My whole body is really achy too! Well my little man has been awake all of today so far so I've not managed to do too much! But I've just got him to sleep so a quick chance to come on and catch up here for 10 minutes! Hopefully whilst he's asleep I can:
- Check bank accounts
- Do a few surveys
- Stick a load of washing on and tumble dry - It's far to cold here for it to dry outside, especially this late in the day and we are going through muslin clothes like there's no tomorrow!
I'll leave it at that for the time being! Hope everyone is all ok! x
Welcome back again by the way Katy Ann. :T" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

So the Wee Geek's DW has been doing the grocery shopping for weeks. I have been using the packet of supermarket pre-grated cheese very sparingly as it's an expensive luxury....turns out that it is actually regular cheese that my DW has been grating and topping up the packet for weeks....:rotfl:Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0

Morning all :hello:
Hope you poorly folks are feeling better soon. I feel incredibly grateful that I've actually managed to avoid being poorly this winter so far (fingers crossed  ) Tis indeed rotten feeling poorly at Christmas. Although I was reminded this morning that it's 5 years ago since I had my thyroid removed between Christmas and new year  That was a very quiet festive season :rotfl: (except the bit in hospital - never been anywhere so noisy!)
Lovely and sunny here :j Small money-saving things for today for me include...
* already reached SB daily goal
* will go for a run - free exerciseand collect parcel on the way home, saving a special trip
* bake biscuits for friend's birthday
* cycling into town to collect parcel (new bike light - paid for with voucher for complaining - to facilitate cycling home from work)
* meet friend for a cuppa (er, slightly better than meeting her for lunch I suppose...:rotfl: )
* check banks
* empty pile of Christmas-related receipts from purse
* FIND NAIL SCISSORS - I'm on the verge of buying new ones as I HATE long nails and I know we have at least 3 pairs but I can't find any of them!
Hope you all have a jolly day0 -

Thought I'd join in as this is a nice group!
I have my 2017 mini diary at the ready to log ALL spends - hubby could not understand this but then he does not get how much I spend on nothing and its got to stop.
I am working from home today and trying like mad to keep heating off but too cold. My sister comes up to stay tonight - cant wait. Food bought and should not need anything else - hoping she has brought wine!0 -
Hi all
On holiday at the mo, got a 4 nights for 3 deal. Using up my loyalty points and spending my Christmas vouchers on clothes in the sale. Will be back on full MS throttle in the New Year. Relaxing and having time out at the mo. Still do FPL everyday and enter comps when I see them. Going to be a tight 2 weeks leading up to payday in January- bring it on. Need a spending and eating detox! LP xCompetition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -

Afternoon all!
I'm just bracing myself to clear up from last nights gathering. My meatball kebabs were a success though I wasn't sure how many were coming so held a couple of packs back so we will probably have those tonight to use up the rest of the salad and pitta bread.
DH has gone to work today and after clearing up I will be giving DS and DSGF a lift to the big pet store. Their goldfish died so they are starting from scratch again with the tank and designing/planting before they buy any more fish (the tank is currently just home to 3 snails, I can't believe we paid a fiver for 2 snails and then the third hatched from one of the plants.) Nobody looking at the pair of them with their indie haircuts and piercings would possibly believe they spent their time googling about goldfish husbandry :rotfl:
I've given DH my bank card to pay in Christmas monies via the machine, I still need to move money around but no rush as long as I'm not spending it.
