Thank you; of course, with a post, I can re-read before I hit "submit" and if I'm uncertain I can edit it, or, as I often do, decide not to post at all. If I'm having to make it up as I go, ie speaking to someone face-to-face, it's a different matter. I am totally incapable of doing small-talk, and in social situations, I tend to sit there mute and let Mr LW do all the talking.
