Malc,
Best you pass on that many are moving on from E-on unless they offer a better deal.
Many deals are up in Feb.
All the best for 2017
Thanks laudo and best wishes for 2017 to you too.
Already passed on details from this and other threads. Will continue to do so.

If i setup a switch right now to E.ON's current best tariff (E.ON Energy Fixed 1 Year v21) for the day my current tariff expires (15th Feb) - as it has no exit fees, presumably i can switch to either a newer (hopefully cheaper) E.ON tariff, or a different company come early Feb without any penalty?
At least then i'm protected from any major rises in January, but still have freedom to move to somewhere else, or (the dream?!) a new collective tariff.
Hello razord and, yes, you can move to our Fixed 1 Year version 21 tariff now and forward date the switch to start on 15 February 17. You can delay switches for up to 52 days. This means you'll stay on your current tariff right up to the end date and then move to version 21. Don't worry if version 21 is withdrawn from sale before 15 February. Once you've chosen a future date, this will be locked in and you'll still be able to go on to this tariff on the specified date. Version 21 will then run for 12 months from this time.[FONT="]

As you say, there are no exit fees with version 21 leaving you free to change supplier without penalty.
Hope this helps razord.

Around October 2016, there were some INSANE tariffs, each appearing and disappearing in days.
For my post code.
Gas 1.607p per kWh,
Standing Charge 66.654p
Exit penalty £30.00
Electricity 8.736p
Standing Charge 32.981p
Exit Penalty £30
Did anyone work out if they were real tariffs, or some E.On person went bonkers?
Rather regretting not signing on to it now.
Effectively, it's a combined standing charge of £1 per day, and then the energy you use is so cheap, it's not worth thinking about.
Hello Pincher and, yes, these were real tariffs but only available to new customers. They were part of some experimental promotions we trialled towards the end of last year as we look to redesign our product portfolio for 2017. They were withdrawn from sale on 28 October 16.
Hope this explains.

+1 to Iresa Ltd
Process started now.0 -
Thanks to all for the advice and tips on this thread.
I've been comparing today and disappointed that Eon is no longer the cheapest for us as the customer service/website/app has always been first class. Also, I noticed today that v21 will not offer reward points.0 -
That's right nattles. Our Fixed 1 Year tariff version 21 doesn't have either Reward points or price alerts. Glad the service and online facilities have been okay but understand your disappointment with the prices.

Here we go again.
Like many V19 expiring in Feb, decided to go with V21 offer (for now for a breathing space at least ) the other day - more expensive but no exit fee but no reward perks.
Then days later - just now- get this email from EON about "E.ON Fixed 1 Year £75 Reward."
It has exactly the same unit rates etc as V21 but a £75 online voucher (no info about where you can actually spend it)
but it comes with a..wait for it..£70 exit fee!
What EON give they take away if you decide to move.
Also why is this offer not included as part of my online account "Find our Best Deal "? Why did I have to enter my ac number and details on yet another separate website (a sub-domain of Eon) to get the quote and details?0 -

I think sums up the experimental nature of the E.on big wigs plans, and a total misunderstanding of what customers want. I didn't even get this offer, maybe they thought I wouldn't be bought! I'd still have liked the email though. Would still have left.0 -
You might still get the email, that is if yet another tariff offer isnt concocted in the next few days..0

Post from another thread :-Morning all. Thought I'd pop on with a bit of information about a couple of new tariffs some of you have been emailed about.
As part of the product review we've mentioned in other threads/posts, we’re trialling new tariffs and the way we offer them to both existing and new customers. The Fixed 1 Year Reward tariffs are part of this trial. They're aimed at a selected group of customers who we think might be interested in this type of package. As such, it isn’t widely available through our website or over the phone. Although priced similarly to our existing Fixed 1 Year tariff, these new products have the benefit of additional rewards.
The Fixed 1 Year £75 and £100 Reward tariffs are being offered to selected customers who are coming to the end of Fixed 1 Year versions 18 and 19. The offer is exclusively by email to dual fuel customers only. The £75 Reward version is to customers who have been with us for 13 months to 2 years and the £100 version is for those who’ve been with us for up to 12 months.
The email directs customers to a joint Energylinx/E.ON website. Eligible customers with an online account will also see a website banner when they log in. Customers who decide to sign up will start on the tariff the day after their version 18/19 ends.
Within 14 days of starting on the tariff, we’ll email customers an e-code that can be exchanged for e-vouchers such as Amazon or Argos. These need to be exchanged within 3 months. Dual Fuel and paperless billing discounts will continue but ongoing rewards and price alerts will stop.
There’s a £35 exit fee per fuel for the £75 Reward and a £50 exit fee per fuel for the £100 Reward for customers changing supplier outside of their renewal period.
The review is an ongoing project as we’re continually looking to develop our products to better suit a changing market. The aim is to freshen up our approach and trials like this help us understand the varying needs of our customers. Totally appreciate, these products won’t suit all but it’s important to make a start and I expect to see other variations in the coming months. As ever, Helena and I will be on hand for any advice or guidance needed.
