Bucks Fizz Lemoncurd, two of my favourite things. As Peter Kaye says,it's the future.

Alja, yep come on,we can all lose half a stone by Christmas.

treeny.First Oooooooh an engagement ring.Lovely. Secondly as you say your Mum might change her plans before the big day. If not could you not have a lovely breakfast with OH and his parents and all of you go to church? You could have lunch all prepped for cooking for when you get back.

Wow everyone is doing so well now I'm getting left behind again. I feel like I've got so many pressies but when I look at my list there are so many still to get! Better get going again.

Welcome to the thread TEENY and apologies if you've been on before and I missed you. Double apologies if I've welcomed you before and forgotten, brain isn't what it used to be. Sorry you've been upset by what your mum said, I'm sure she didn't mean it that way, maybe with you hosting this year they're just relishing having a relaxed morning before the mayhem of the pressie opening. We usually have the littlies opening their pressies from Santa wherever they are (little GDSs open at home, DGD is always with us so she opens hers here) then we do all the adult pressies later when we're all together and the little ones get their pressies from the family then too.

MANDCO not sure what the girls are into but Home Bargains had some nice unicorn stationery, Asda have some lovely unicorn glasses (I'm putting choc santas and coins in them and then putting in a Christmas cellophane bag) and The Works have some decent stuff games and craft wise on their 2 for £10 offer.

MURIE I wish I'd had that link for BIL but I've got his Guinness stuff now. Typical that I get a pressie early then see something better

STOKIE I bought one of those trees in a frame with hearts and names on last year and it cost me £22 so you've done really well making them for £10. How did you upload the pics onto here please? Now Photobucket isn't free I can't work out how to do it so any help would be appreciated.

Lunch with the ladies today then I must try and get a fabulous top to wear on Saturday - DDs are taking me for a spa day and overnight stay at a hotel and I've been instructed to bring a fabulous outfit for dinner. Unfortunately I don't own a fabulous outfit other than my Vow Renewal dress. Seen a top I like but it's in a catalogue and might not get here in time.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

Peppa I have been using postimages.org using the 640x480(message board) option then when photo uploads it gives you a list of links, I have been copying and pasting the "Thumbnail for forums" link into here. Hope that makes sense

    Hi All

I can't believe I missed the wrapping party! I had it set as a reminder on my phone too. I was looking forward to it because my OH was out watching the boxing so I planned to watch a Christmas movie & get some of my wrapping done, but also some of my craft projects that I have planned in my head. Instead I ended up watching random TV, eating Indian food & generally just being lazy. Oh well, I will get into it all soon!!

I think part of my problem with getting into it this year is that we are having lots of decorating done around the house, so everything is all over the place & also our youngest DD is very into Halloween again this year so I feel like I have to go along with that now before I can really start going Christmas crazy. But I have warned everybody already that my Christmas music will be going on tomorrow morning, so when I get into work they will all have to listen to me bursting into Christmas songs randomly :)

I hope that tomorrow I will be feeling extra festive. I hope you're all well, I'm sorry I've not been able to catch up with everybody but I will do so later, after I've been trick or treating & am happily wrapped up inside again.

    xx

Murie - omg that looks so good for my OH's father. I just tried to order it but when I actually went to pay for it, the price changed to £67 :( I've emailed them to ask why because it would be so good for him!

Peppa - oh wow, have a lovely time at the spa this weekend!

LMG - hope you're feeling a lot more christmassy by tomorrow, I have really got into the Christmas spirit since last week, I don't know what happened but I feel so so christmassy!

Jakes mum did you find a fitbit or are you still looking? I just picked up the flex 2 for £54.99 in currys(argos too) I went for that one as its fully waterproof & you can change the accessories making it much more wearable. At work I can't wear anything on my wrist so I'll use the necklace or waist clip instead once I get them.
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

Hello all! I have been a very bad Feisty and disappeared for the entire thread again :( Some of you old timers may remember that I was permanent fixture in the group until having my DD last year.

I'm so glad to see you're all still here and spreading Christmas cheer all you round! I need to jump back in as I feel my Christmas prep is severely lacking this year. Our budget is small again and DD is all sorted, but I want to try and avoid a last minute panic buy and enjoy Christmas!
