Well done all who have got bits done, sorry to those who couldn't join in but plenty of time. Happy to have started if only a little bit.
I ordered my grandad a Christmas jumper off eBay and it's now drying on my radiator as I put it through the wash (even though it arrived perfectly clean and fresh) .
Think need to check my Christmas pennies - I know I am over budget (oops! Not very MSE I know) but need to see how much more I need to account for.£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -
Morning- you sounded as if you all had a lovely Christmassy night x
Free- I wonder what those sounds were? Must have been scary, did Diesel react in any way? I think dogs tend to hove good pointers as to whether to be worried about sounds etc. The latte sounds lush and I love the idea of drifting off to sleep thinking of Christmas. Im sure DD wont mind about the name x I have bought DD a Tarte make up set from QVC (Im assuming it the same brand as the bag)- I follow them on IG and it seems a good brand.
GTQ- its great when you find pressies in the stash that you have forgotten all about. 19 is an impressive amount of wrapping. Im with you on packaging- I like nice packaging but I do like a bit of product in there too for the price!
GYD-hope the headache has gone today- is it stress or just a run of the mill headache? Your bed was gorgeous, it must have been a wrench to give it away x
Vulpix- I will start a diet with you tomorrow - as you say 1 lb a week will be a help x
Stockie- Ive run out of funds too for a while so need to regroup my thinking and see what else I need to get. We are off to Bicester on 7th so need to have a definite budget for that.
Peppa- that was a lovely way to round off the day. I always found that I cant stash things the same place/way once they are wrapped too.
046- thank you for organising us (even though I didn't take part) into the wrapping party x.
I hadn't planned on wrapping but I was going to join in the chat but unfortunately DD's kidneys had other ideas and we spent an hour and half in hospital . I did wrap in the afternoon though so I did sort of take part x
I have heard a rumour that we are going to have a cold snap, frosty mornings make me feel really Christmassy( as long as DH scrapes the ice off my car when he goes out to do his).lovin' this site!

Yes Peppa and Murie, the bed has gone, but to DS for when he moves out from his nans. It was a shame as the whole lot of bedroom furniture was imported from France but it would of never fitted in the bungalow along with my butlers pantry, I begrudgingly gave that away too.
First morning in a long time that I have woke without a headache which is good. And after my dear old Mum called the solicitors office and demanded to speak to the main solicitor I am pleased to say he is bringing the exchange papers to the house this afternoon personally and collecting them tomorrow. I think at 85 she can still give the fear factor. So I’m pretty certain headaches is just stress related.0 -
Sorry l didn't make the party, but l did do some wrapping, only 3 things, but 1 was star shaped, 1 was a crate of beer and skittles, and one was a square box.
046.. thinking about you, hope you are ok.
I think DD will love the bag, curvy is in.
Thank you for the heads up on the toy sale front, l have 6 items on a list for there.
Well, l went with DS2 to his genetic clinic appointment, and after an hour l went back to the reception desk and asked how late was the clinic running, only to be told that it wasn't running late and had finished.!! Mrsl lost the plot and said it better hadn't have. (in different polite words, in best cut glass accent voice) Anyway, they had to re-set up and see us. They come from 90 miles away, and would be late getting back, but for once, l didn't apologise for keeping them.
Doesn't it make you cross when stuff like that happens? Still, he got seen, and is now 'in the loop' for the future.
Back to Christmas l need to list all that has been wrapped and check that l haven't missed anybody important. (dr who quote comes to mind).
L haven't altered my clocks yet, will do it after skype. xx0 -
Another one who missed the party - kids dont go to bed till gone 9 and its all there stuff I need to wrap - so I think I will be doing it in the day when they go back to school now :-) That way I have no prying eyes.
Been awake since 6am because of the bloody dog clawing at the gate to get out but it echos through the whole house - she is now in her crate sulking.....shes a habit of being hyper in the morning and trampling the pup so shes having five to chill out first.
I need to go and get dressed though however and go to the shop for milk since hubby kindly used it all last night and the cereal and I havent had a cup of tea yet.Time to find me again0 -
Good Morning All,
It was lovely to chat last night, really enjoyed it. Also enjoyed the Christmas prep too x DD and I are up, DH is still in bed even though his alarm woke me up! DS is still asleep too.
Free- Didnt end up reading the magazine. Ended up watching youtube videos on Christmas prep for stocking and crafts lol
Stokiebecks- I have over £60 worth of stuff waiting in my Ebay basket. I could honestly buy it all lol
Peppa- Aw bless your GD getting into the Christmas spirit. I absolutely love the Faraway Tree.
GTQ- 19 presents is fantastic!
murie- Hope dd is ok? Glad you managed to get some wrapping done in the afternoon.
GIYD- Wow! 85 or not your mum sounds amazing! To get a solicitor to come out to you on a sunday is a miracle!
MrsI- How on earth did you wrap the star shape? Im ok thank you, scared as I had such a bad time with my last operation but im trying to be positive.
Sammykaye- Sometimes its easier to wrap when the kids are at school, I miss that as I now work at a school full-time so am never kid free lol0 -
A star shaped gift I am super impressed...I would have got far too frustrated with that
Off out for a meal at lunch for a family birthday. Must resist temptation to go to the nearby Hobbycraft as I have been to two this week already :rotfl::rotfl:
Days off Monday and Tuesday - need to finish prepping two of my handmade gifts and get them all finished off.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday.£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120 -

We heard really deep booms last night, we're near Colchester. Like you they didn't sound like fireworks (way too deep and no whistling noise to go with it) and I couldn't see anything when I looked out the window. A quick Goggle revealed that there was a fireworks display 3 miles down the road in another village! No wonder I couldn't see anything. The wind must have been blowing in the right direction for us to get them so clearly."You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.

Missmoose, did you move to NI?.and wanted to buy a train to run round the Christmas Tree? Nice to see you anyway .
Wish i moved to NI, but unfortunately not, that train sounds like a brilliant idea, i'm going to have to look in to getting one now you have mentioned it.Im sure DD wont mind about the name x I have bought DD a Tarte make up set from QVC (Im assuming it the same brand as the bag)- I follow them on IG and it seems a good brand.
Tarte is a good brand, I have a few of their things and have been favorites, its one of the upper end brands that you wouldn't find in a super drug so i'm sure it will be very well received, especially if she is a make up enthusiast she will know the name and not be offended.
Does anyone know anywhere that had the Disney Pandora charms on discount at the moment? Really want to get my SIL one because she was gutted that she didn't have time to get one when we were at Disney world and she usually gets a new charm every time we go on holiday somewhere new or memorable. But they're more than i want to spend on her. They're quite new so i'm not too hopeful.0 -
Sorry I couldn't join you last night for the wrapping party, didn't get home until after 10pm due to the local event I went to. Was lovely to read through your posts though! Baileys latte sounds amazing and I'm impressed with the star shaped wrapping, I wouldn't know where to begin with that one.
I did buy some more presents yesterday. Grabbed a sparkly mulled wine M+S conserve for OH's mum's hamper, looks so pretty with the glitter in it. I'm still holding out for their 50% off beauty set weeks though to get my presents...
Our local shopping centre has a craft fair running this weekend, so I picked up a lovely pyramid shaped candle for OH's mum too with a little snowflake on the front. We both think she'll love it.
Picked up a Barrym nail polish for my mum today too that I had my eye on. Feel like I need a proper sit down to plan what next to buy for my parents though! Feel a little unorganised for them at the moment and feeling uninspired as to what to get...0
