Clumsy - that mug is so beautiful! Sounds like you've been very ahead with your Christmas shopping! Well done!!!

    Thank you Free!

Went to B&M this evening - was feeling very MSE. Only actually bought a travel mug for the step dad (as a little opener) and a reed diffuser for my apartment, so not very productive. Going to catch up on Relik now and then do some online Christmas shopping!

Welcome to the thread RAE and HAPPYLASS.

Busy prepping for a craft session with the littlies tomorrow - I bought mdf bird photo frames (£1 each in the Works) and I'm just giving them a couple of base coats of emulsion so the little ones can decorate them tomorrow (paint, feathers, Pom poms and various stick on bits) then I'll take a pic of each of the children and put them in. I'm thinking they can put them in their rooms or give as pressies. I've got mache baubles for them to decorate for their Christmas trees too.

Ended up only seeing a little bit of QVC today after all so more money saved :D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

    Hey all,
Our day out was longer than we thought thanks to the great british traffic! We spent hours and hours in the car. We eventually got to West Midlands Safari Park and had a lovely time. It took us hours to get back too. We got a pizza on the way home which I ate, then got in bed and fell asleep straight away. I was so tired. Treated myself to a Christmas magazine so will snuggle up with that later. DD is sleeping out tonight so once we have dropped her off (staying with family) DH and I are going to have a date night and go out for tea. Cannot wait. Off to the drs again! feel like I have spent most of the last 5yrs there. Im having neurological symptoms again so they want me to go back today to decide whether I need an emergency MRI. cannot afford to be ill, I need to do my Christmas shopping lol xx

Vulpix- So glad you DS is ok after the accident. Surelt they should have picked up on that in the MOT.
    Stockiebecks- hope you enjoyed Blackpool
Rae123- hi and welcome to the thread x
Happylass- Hi and welcome to the thread, it must of been hard being stuck in for so long. I love online shopping for as much of my gifts as possible this year. I have found it to be very useful as this year is the first year I have worked full time.
Clumsy42- Bolton sounds like you had an adventure. Cup is lovely
Free- The carpet is so nice, we are loving it. I do love wooden floors too.
Peppa- your crafts sound lovely for the littlies x

I did it! I thought of a gift for FIL!! :j :j :j AND MIL gave the thumbs up too so its ordered and on its way to me :D Its a king size supersoft fleecy blanket in chocolate brown to match their new living room. FIL gets very cold in the evenings now and all they have is the one thats chucked over the back of their sofa so I got him his very own one and am now wishing I had an embroidery machine so I could embroider "Hand's Off I Belong TO Bampy!" on it to stop all the kids nicking it off him :rotfl: I got the king size one as their bed is king size so I figured he could fold it over for when he's in his chair and they could lay it out flat if they start getting cold in bed at night.

Soooo I literally have my dad to buy for and a few extra bits to go in MIL's yarn basket and I am DONE! :D

Wish I was so organised with the food shopping, so far all I have is a load of sweets and biscuits :o

Jakes-mum- Well done with the gift for FIL, it sounds gorgeous. Is there any shops or markets stalls nearby that could do the embroidery for you as that sounds a fab idea.

Rubbish news from the drs. I have to go back to see the specialist for an emergency appt. Was in the drs 30mins whilst we discussed it and he sent the letter. When I came out the surgery was FULL of people who must of been naffed off. I do not even have the brain space to process this at the moment so Im putting it to one side until I can have a cry and carry on.
Anyway, we off out for my last meal of stodge until christmas as I will have to eat healthy as this has scared me into losing some more weight.
  • Just putting this here for inspiration for those that do hampers, I think these look awesome and could presumably be assembled cheaper than the ones you can buy here:

Thanks Peppa - that sounds like such a good idea! Would definitely make lovely gifts!

Free - I keep getting a bit confused with it atm, I have to give it my full attention but I am really enjoying it!

04624181 - That sounds like a lovely day out! Really sorry to hear about your doctors appointment though :(

Jakesmum - Well done for being so prepared!! I absolutely love the embroidery idea!

I'm currently at work dreaming of the weekend! My parents are coming to visit me and my OH in our apartment for the first time since we moved in, and their bringing my family dog! I am so excited I may burst!!!

Afternoon everyone, haha I got my first Christmas card today :rotfl:

PATENTGIRL/STOKIEBECKS received coffees this morning thankyou so much, I was shocked at how much postage you both had to pay  I honestly am happy to reimburse you both :) STOKIE love the handmade Christmas card!

04624181 Oh honey sorry it wasn't the news you wanted to hear, but keep that chin up and stay strong, the sooner the better for the apt then you haven't got ages to stress about it. Glad you had a good day out at the Safari Park. Have a nice meal out tonight x

JAKESMUM glad you found something for your FIL it makes such a difference knowing what you are getting for people than walking around trying to think of something

SNORKYPANTS wow I wish I had someone to do one of those hampers for, what a lovely choice of different cuisines

RAE yes I had to watch it with no distractions as well otherwise you lose the complete plot

Free no need from my end for any reimbursement - happy early Christmas!

Walking the illuminations was great. Did all 5.2 miles and really enjoyed ourselves.

Jakesmum - that cozy fleece sounds lovely.

Snorky great ideas there thank you will have a proper look at it when I am home.

04624181 try not to get too worked up, you will be in the best hands to get fixed whatever is happening for you. Sending you hugs

Hope everyone else is ok. Picked up a half price set in boots today - has 16 little items in (bodywashes, hand lotions, body scrubs etc) so going to split it into two lots of 8 to make up two presents. Was £15 instead of £30. Plus because the till crashed and the lady couldn't give me my receipt for ages she gave me a little set of Gucci body wash and body lotion for free . Would it be wrong to wrap it as a little extra gift for someone? Haha
