    Hi Rae and Happylass.

Result Jakes Mum! Everyone is steaming ahead now.

Hope you had a lovely time Peppa with your Grandchildren.I stole your idea and had the ladies round today and my Mum and DD2.We made cute witches.I will put a pic on the elfilicious pinterest board.

Had my Flu jab last night and am feeling a bit rough.I always do.They tell me the vaccine is grown in egg white and I am sensitive to egg.

There is no comeback on the MOT for DS' as 28 days have passed.

0462,go out tonight and have a lovely time.I am so sorry to hear your news.Trouble is, ignorance is bliss,we both know what to expect if surgery is mentioned again, but if there is a chance to be pain free,it may be worth it.xxx

The necklace has arrived, pleased with it.

Can't you order a vaccine that isn't grown on egg?

Carlisle Lass,Thank You.I have never thought I could ask for a non egg vaccine,Doh! The reaction is not severe, just a hard, hot arm for a few days and feeling rough. Drs have never offered either tbh even though they know it gives me a reaction.

    StokieBecks,lovely set,a bargain.

Free, how are you doing with your slimming? I am doing very badly,I think I am the fattest I have ever been without being pregnant.I despair.I genuinely don't know what to do.

    See you all tomorrow night.

  • It's only myself and DS (20 with a range of medical problems) at home, so I'm guessing when I fill his up I'll add some iTunes and gaming vouchers to feel less guilty. He has got the wooden fortnums one, bought it a few years back and fills it each year

Haha, yes, I'd feel really bad getting this for myself and then putting it out next to my step son's £2.50 Cadburys one!
Afternoon everyone, haha I got my first Christmas card today :rotfl: ...

SNORKYPANTS wow I wish I had someone to do one of those hampers for, what a lovely choice of different cuisines

RAE yes I had to watch it with no distractions as well otherwise you lose the complete plot

I'm really tempted by the Japanese one for my other half, but it would have to be for his birthday in January, so I'll wait and see if it goes in a post-Christmas sale.

I've actually got my OH's Christmas gift taken care of, he picked out a pair of jeans and a shirt, not exciting since he now knows what he's getting but it's wanted and needed so that's cool.

I need to come up with some ideas for gifts for me, Mum will ask soon, as will OH.

So as I said, ordered FIL's blanket fro cotton traders, went into pound stretcher and they had really nice warm fleecy ones for £9.99! Too late for me (though I could send it back if its not as nice as I hope) but if anyone was looking for one for a gift take a look in there. They had red, brown, zebra print and leopard print from memory. I had a good feel :o and they dont have that nasty gritty feel to them that some cheapy blankets do.

Hi everyone, sorry for being a bit awol. It's just taken me two evenings and my lunch break at work today to read through and catch up with everyone's posts! Life has been ridiculously busy, so I'm looking forward to a few more chilled weeks coming up.

So lovely to read through it all though...definitely going to look out for those gingerbread lattes and grab a box or two of the salted caramel matchmakers!

Yesterday evening was the first evening I had been at home all week. We had a wedding to attend up north all weekend and I work full time too, so I've ben trying to relax and recoup my energy after a hectic week.

I'm going to head to the shops tomorrow so I can grab a few extra bits whilst I have some free time. I've made a good start on getting M+S foodie bits for OH's mum's foodie hamper, so may get some more bits for that and some beauty gifts for her. Going to pop into Hotel Chocolat too as we want to buy the dipping gift set for OH's eldest brother and his gf, have been waiting for a good enough best before date! Will look for present ideas for my parents too. My friends' gift jars are all done now, filled with sweets, chocolates, chocolate orange, hot chocolate sachet etc - they're looking great and it ticks off 6 people from my list!

I also need to get myself some new jeans as one of my current pairs has completely worn through where my thighs touch...haha! The joys! At least I'm being MSE and have worn them to death. Thank you for the heads up on the 25% off event at Sainsbugs, think I'll just grab a pair from there.

I think I may miss the wrapping party tomorrow as I have been invited down to a local event which is on 7pm-10pm, they do sometimes finish a little early, so if any of you are around from 10pm I may catch you and join you :)

Have a lovely festive weekend all! x

Just popping in - have had a horrendous week with vertigo - went back to see the doctors and turns out I had been overdosing myself with pills for 4 YEARS - he explained I should be taking 3 pills in a 24 hours period - not 4 pills in a 12 hour period like I had been doing.
Changed how I took them and feel much better :mad::mad: just annoyed that its taken this long for someone to pick up on me doing it wrong.

Work hours have bumped up - Im in 15hrs next week instead of my usual 6 --- I have it on good authoirty that theres a toy sale starting Wednesday ;););) for all those that have an Ar+os near them - its the last one this year;););)

Also have two more thing to get for Holly and she is done. Went out with my SIL yesterday and got her stocking bits so just need some sweeties for it and a phone case
then I can focus on Ben who has a speaker at present :eek::eek: but he did tell me yesterday he wants a keyboard for christmas - and in Argos we sell a keyboard, stand and headphones so will be keeping my eye on that for him

Also had a few more comp wins that are going to christmas gifts. Ive decided to put my personalise notebook win to my sister in law as her gift and my water filter jug to my mother as I have heard her mention them twice now. Very MSE

I will read back but wanted to let you know Im still here - just off to enjoy a cup of tea before I do some comps and leave at 8.15 for work --- no rest for the wicked!
    Time to find me again
