My hallmark Christmas cards came I got them in an outlet store on fleabay buy two cards get one free. Very pleased and they are larger than I expected. Only 3 more special cards to buy. I have changed my mind on charity cards to buy I am now set on buying MIND Christmas cards as its a charity close to my heart. I will also be sending a Christmas card to my local mental health hospitals to wish them all merry Christmas ( a new tradition for me). Many people have to spend Christmas in mental health hospital and I want to wish them a merry Christmas like I do everyone else.

    Evening,
I actually posted last week, a huge post, quoting people and answering things, then !!!!!!, it disappeared and I could face typing it all out again.

I will read back as I always do after posting.
    Hope you are all ok?
It's been busy busy here with the kids back to school and all their activities.

I have quite a few things put away for Christmas now. Mainly stocking fillers and books. All on deals, nothing full price of course :-)

Thanks Treasure Queen I will have to have a look - I am hoping to make my mother in law a bag full of things she likes so she loves her slippers so that is a must for her.
Also the little little wipes packs look good too for stocking fillers.

Oh Nic,I do that all the time:(

    Welcome Thrifty lass.

Glad to hear you are feeling better Free.

Aw Murie, your doll's house.I suppose you have had the pleasure of making it.Think Marie Kondo and thank it and let someone else have the pleasure. My Mum made one years ago,it is big,she has it on a table in her sitting room.

0462 I hope you get an appointment with the right person who can give you some positive news about your back.I wish I had pushed for treatment much earlier than i did, instead of putting up with it 25 years.Don't put up with it for 25 years.

sammy k I am with you with the weight loss thing.I have put a stone on recently and I hate it.didn't hate aldis salted caramel ice cream tho:o i would at least like to lose the stone before Christmas and preferably more.It will have to start after all the family celebrations for my son's return from living in Canada.

Well ! The Estate Agent valued the house at 40K more than I bought it for. I say i because i bought this house from the sale of my house from before i married Mr V. Of course I will not get what he says it is worth but it is a good starting point. Not bad for a bit of emulsion and a few months of donkey work in the garden. And a lot of moaning on here:o

The I on this laptop doesnt work unless i push hard and i forget and so thats why i am inconsistent with it.

Off to the airport when Mr V finishes work at 10am. The poor couple have spent the night trying to sleep on the floor at Reykjavik airport.Big family meal tonight. At sons request lasagne, garlic bread and key lime pie trifle.I dont know why he likes the trifle thing so much,it's not that nice.I will eat it tho ,obv.
He has an interview on Tuesday so he will stay a couple of days then scoot off to Harrogate where GF's from to collect his suit.

Another knees up at DD1's on Saturday then the hipster car boot Sunday where I will make my fortune!

Still not able to view the bungalow! tenant now gone but the owner is cleaning it.I have already completely renovated it and redesigned the garden!

    Better go.Vx

Carpets got cleaned, (a day late but what the heck) today will be putting 'stuff' back or disposing of it, and cleaning windows...... yes, l really know how to have fun.
Vulpix, hope you get more than you think for the house, considering the work you have done.
046 hope the appointment comes soon, and your consultant will help. At least a diagnosis puts a limit on it, and is a starting point for effective treatment.
Sammy-kaye, how is your offsprings neck now? better, l hope.
Free, glad you are getting over the cough. l think it is a virus, DGS had it at the start of the holidays, passed it on to DGD who generously shared it with her brother, and now their mum has got in on it.
On the Christmas front l have got DGN sorted out now, and need to add aDG nephew to the list. He is expected to arrive at the end of October.
l have just found out that one of my all time favourite almost famous groups is performing at our local theatre in November, so l am asking DD and DS2 to buy my ticket for my birthday. Old rocker, or off my rocker, mrsl exits stage, left.xx

Morning all, only 115 days to go! Managed to restrain myself yesterday and not buy everything on the Matalan Christmas shop…
Sammy_kaye small world eh, I love game of thrones too so I was sending my mum pictures J The Mari Lwyd sounds interesting! Seems a bit like a pub crawl round the neighbours houses lol
Treasurequeen sounds like a lovely idea sending Christmas cards to the hospital
Freespirit glad you’re on the mend
Good news on the valuation Vulpix!
Mrsinvisible sounds like you’ll be busy even if it’s not the most riveting of tasks. We need to do a good clear out but it’s finding the time/ motivation, I always think I’ll try and be productive when I get in from work then it’s 8 o’clock by the time I’ve finished dinner!
There’s a 25% off including sale for New Look using FLASH25, not sure if this would help anyone getting some early presents.
    I'm dreaming... of a white Christmas :snow_grin :xmassmile:rudolf:
